1- male character is not using his money , his position in a foul way to get her in his life
2- the girl (maid ) being poor not seeing his proposal as opportunity , she is also not using him ,her dignity is her priority .
Usually this thing do not happen in real life ....that's why it's unique and beautiful
but in the end it looks like creepy b grade movie i belive people should love in their same or similar status love isn't enough for happy life you may like inferior Partner but you will end up hating them when you veiws crashes ego comes and you will think you made mistake for lifetime.

I like the way the movie ends. It leaves it to the viewer to decide what will eventually happen. This is probably the sweetest movie I've ever seen, and it lingers on in my mind.
This film lives with you after it ends. Ratna and Ashwin are adorable together. Their life struggles are more similar than they are different, and this realisation is so uplifting. Yet societal attitudes and prejudices stand in their way, but an endearing Ashwin is willing to go all the way.
Imagination is a wonderful thing. In my imagination, Ratna and Ashwin, slowly but surely pave the way that brings them closer to each other. It's a fight alright, but it's a fight worth fighting!

I wish Ashwin would have have taken ratna to NY and he started writing again along with ratna doing her fasion designer degree
You know what is the best part of this movie. Ratna has an opinion she has a thought she has a dreams, duniya usko bol raha hai arey aukat dekh apna lekin phir bhi she has her point of view on every thing. On her love for her employer as well as her dream to not be a tailor but a fashion designer. That what sets her apart from so many characters.

I have seen Turkish dramas where rich boss fell in love with his assistant/cook /driver basically who is from poor background.. I thought it's not possible to see that kind in Indian series... I watched it a few days back and I highly recommend it. It's fresh and light, without any unnecessary drama or glam, just pure acting. It deals with the concept of love and dreams in a very beautiful manner. The actors have done an amazing job and you'll not be bored for a second. The end scene has my ♥️.

This will probably be the first time we'll see the story of a maid which makes this movie more special.
That's the same actor from Monsoon wedding, who was trying on her boss's jewellery. Her part was the most sweet there as well.
The movie is amazing but even this trailer deserves an Oscar. This love story stays with you long after the credits have rolled. There has to be a sequel. There must. Their story must end with them being together regardless of the struggles involved. How many people here can relate to loving someone that was unsuitable as a result of societal, religious or cultural differences. At the very least even if you haven't, we've all heard the true stories of others. I hope Ashwin comes back and marries Ratna in a massive wedding to rival them all.

I've watched it more than 20 times... it's weird though it has become staple for me. The simple romance, tilottama's earthen simplicity yet conviction, Gomber, hot and happening yet so down to earth and a kind sweet soul... their chemistry , the sexual tension... and a lot of other elements make the movie shimmer like the night sky for me. Clean, modern, simple yet strong and sweet
No extra colours, no overacting and no extra emotions. Just simple and real. One of the best film of all time

Yayy finally this movie!! It was struggling very hard to find a theatre release and when it did, it did poorly on the box office which isn't hard to believe, because not a lottt indian audiences actually go and watch such realistic non-masala art. Mind you it's been screened at multiple film festivals, but finally here it is. Thankyou Netflix, because of you finally this movie and the cast and crew will get the appreciation it deserves. Tillotama, i love you❤️

This is an understated masterpiece. I just wish titis was sent to the Oscars. Jalikatu was brilliant and is artistically more superior but there is a very emotional factor in Sir that just makes you feel for the film. Truly amazing. Must watch.

I watched this movie in plane in 2019. It was a 2 and half hour flight and I was immersed in this film. Loved it.

I was surfing through Netflix and came across this. Initially I was apprehensive of watching it. I clicked on "Watch" and in less than 15 Seconds, I got a call. However, I got drawn towards the content that I had to cut the call midway confirming to call back after a while.
It's one of the most relatable concept, and everything about the movie is pleasant. Be it the acting, the direction, the plot or the dialogues. Just everything!!!
