This stuff is just so great. I really hope they are able to mass produce some of these things soon. I really want that pedal and hi hat stand.

So what does the new Falcon pedal have over the old one? As I understand it now, the old model has two different cams for different feels and also costs about $110 less (average price I see). My brother and I love Mapex, but it's hard when Mapex prices are on the rise and the products are still so hard to find in store.

Dont feel bad bro. I'm here in Jackson ( in between Memphis & Nashville). Mapex facility is in Nashville both Forks Drum closet & GC carry all levels of Mapex gear but in Memphis only to the armory in hardware.

My brother got an amazing deal on the newer version and I got to try them out. They didn't feel as different from my old iron cobras as I would have expected them to. But they felt really solid and I liked how condensed they were. I feel that they were very consistent and would allow for some amazing playing with good practice. The different beater weights were really cool too. It would have been nice if they were able to keep the interchangeable cams or at least keep the price to $300.

Differences: New bass drum attachment/ drive shaft pins, new hoop clamp, smaller base plate. they basically made everything that wasnt up to scratch with the gen 1's and re vamped it. i have gens 1's and they feel awesome despite the flaws, would be great to try a gen 2 now.

Mapex I like your drums and hardware as im using now but I think 2 things would help us who use your hardware, First is a rack, Preferably a 3 sided square on like pearl has, and the ability to order off the website similar to zildjian .com so people without dealers near us can get equipment. Thanks, Aaron

Still nothing in terms of having an Auxiliary hi hat mount that is up to the basic standards of other companies. No updates, no word on anything yet. Hopefully they get that together as it is a much needed piece of hardware.
