- As the United States reports record deaths and hospitalizations from COVID-19 in the final days of 2020, we look at how the pandemic that ravaged the country this year has shone a stark new light on racism in medical care. In a viral video recorded by Black physician Dr. Susan Moore, she describes racist treatment by medical staff at a hospital in Indianapolis and says they did not respond to her pleas for care, despite being in intense pain and being a doctor herself. In the video, Dr. Moore says she had to beg to receive pain medication and the antiviral drug remdesivir, and accuses a doctor at Indiana University Health North Hospital of ignoring her pleas because she was Black. “I put forward, and I maintain: If I was white, I wouldn’t have to go through that,” she says. Dr. Moore died December 20, just over two weeks after she posted the video. She was 54 years old.

The doctor and the hospital should be charged. The Hippocratic Oath is one of the oldest binding documents in history. Written in antiquity, its principles are held sacred by doctors to this day: treat the sick to the best of one's ability, preserve patient privacy. Doctor's such as this should be fired and never allowed near a hospital again unless he is a patient in the morgue.

And you should call the hospital and complain. I did. I asked to speak to Eric Bannec, operator told me that he was not taking calls. I voiced my displeasure over the way this doctor was treated this Black woman. I said Dr Bannec was killed Susan.

@@cllc9722 I totally agree...my stepdad was mistreated by Winston Salem Dr's. they were injecting liquids in him that he didn't need or ask for...probably some kind of experimental solutions to see how his body was going to react to it..any way he was treated unfairly, so I took action against those Dr's in the particular department that he was in and I hope my report makes it to the federal level because this is murder and also a depopulation agenda going on..

Me... the racial prejudices and biases are in the systems and been experienced by black and minorities unending. I was put out of a medical practice by a lying doctor who called police on me while am unknowingly in waiting calm and quiet for another doctor. This was end of day, when police arrived there were no witnesses left in waiting room, doctor came out to police saying i was violent and disruptive. Police had passed me in waiting room calm reading book waiting when doctor pointed to me.

So the nurse injected her with a lot of pain killers on purpose. Which caused her heart rate to plunge . My dad ended up choking out the nurse and assaulting the doctor.

@@jaywalker9985 I have asked many doctors on here about the Susan Moore case. Most avoided even addressing it and the few who actually responded downplayed it in a way which was tantamount too Lying.
Years ago I was in the hospital for abdominal surgery. My surgeon told me I would only be discharged after three crucial body functions occurred. Well, one evening, the doctor on call told me I was being discharged THAT evening even though those three functions had not occurred. When I mentioned this, she tried to tell me that my insurance would not pay for me to stay any longer. This was a lie as I called my insurance company immediately. Why was she so intent on discharging me? I paid extra out of my own pocket to get a private room. One of her patients just had a baby and they wanted my room. Last time I checked a medical procedure trumps delivery of a baby. The woman and baby were fine. Doctors lie. They lie often to Black people and other people of color.

She managed to get on a high horse to complain about a system she was part of. I expect there was nothing they could do for her, so she felt it was due to her race. I expect she became somewhat paranoid and dug into a dark past of repression, blaming racism which is NOT at all, true. Anyone who works in any medical establishment knows that. Patients are all equal as their treatment is related to their condition. She will likely sue the hospital and it will show, these people have done nothing wrong. It is unfortunate, we are still seeing such behavior as she is triggering negativity where we should all unite, in our fight against this bio-warfare.

My sister died right before Christmas she had been hospitalized for 24 days no underlying conditions went on a ventilator and developed pneumonia then had a stroke, one day they called and said dont worry about her shes doin great responding and everything, breathing on her own...the next morning they called and said she was brain dead and had passed away 😔😔😔💔💔💔

Exactly I usually go the holistic route. I found a lot of my answers to my ailments right here on CZcams by doing a simple search. The last time I went the doctor she tried to put me on blood pressure medications because my blood pressure was high that day. Now I told that fool I had an energy drink a hour before I arrived & usually I don’t have high blood pressure. She didn’t even check my blood pressure again to make sure. Anyway I told her I’m not taking any pills because I was headed to the store to buy some pomegranate juice. Pomegranate fruit naturally lowers blood pressure & clean out the arteries. I haven’t had a problem since.

People (not necessarily you) have a tendency to accuse us of playing the.”race card.” To me, if it’s real, if it’s fact, you’re just telling the truth. I have had a few negative encounters with doctors which I’m sure had everything to do with the color of my skin. Some things you just know.

I have seen other CZcams videos by nurses who have blown the whistle on the treatment of black Covid patients in a hospital in New York and one hospital in Texas.
The nurses were white but the one in Texas is a black traveling nurse.
They all cried and told how black patients are neglected and in some cases, something is deliberately done to the patient that they know will kill them. The patient ends up dead.
One nurse told about them giving false test results for Covid-19. The patient was actually negative and they were told they needed to be put on a ventilator. The outcome was not good for the patient.

The specialist disregarded my suspicions and startef asking me immigration questions. I was so upset i called my dad back in Kenya and i was willing to tracel back home to receive treatment.
