Love Joanna’s outfits. When I saw that tomato “soup” 😂it reminded me of canned tomato purée or paste. Looks like they not only destroyed the chicken but also didn’t deliver the country gravy with it. Thank you! My favorite cruise vloggers !

I’m impressed with Carnival’s food. Over the last 5 years I’ve paid attention to them, but found myself quickly brushing off the brand. You guys know by now that food is one of the most important aspects of cruising for me, so I make sure I check out the food scene before I cruise with a line I’ve never sailed on before.
The skillet pancake looks like a must-try for me. The whipped ricotta sounds intriguing. And the huevos rancheros look amazing too! So much flavor!! And that 12-hour French toast looks to die for. Looks like my happy place! I’ve decided not to cruise alone anymore, so it may be a while before I get to Carnival. I can’t wait! The food looks amazing.
By the way, have you heard anything about Carnival eliminating the MDR? I saw a video today about it. I may have my news wrong… or they were going to add on an extra charge for it??? I can’t remember. I know food is getting super pricey, so it doesn’t surprise me at all that cruise lines are cutting back wherever they can. Gotta stay afloat somehow!

Thanks for the the comment Scott! 😊 Yeah that 12 hour French toast was pretty unique and tasty. Carnival on our cruise last month you can order as many apps or desserts, and 2 mains at the MDR. The third main entree would be $5 extra. Very few guests would order 3 mains so it shouldn't be an issue for most.
@@TravelTouristVideos Good info. Makes perfect sense to me. I know I rarely order more than 2 mains anyway. And sometimes the appetizers are tasty enough you want to order 3. If you’re still hungry after that, you can just wander over to the buffet and stuff yourself silly. 😂

I always find your food assessment vlogs helpful and I really appreciate the honest reviews. I’m disappointed that Carnival has removed items from the sea day brunch menu. The chicken and waffles should have been removed. As always thank you for sharing😊🙏🏾

I don't know if that was a slice of banana on topof that pie, but if it was, they should have used it in banana bread instead of a garnish. Icky looking. But, loved Joanne's outfits as always.

Agree, Joanna. We were on Carnival Glory about year and a half ago. Chicken and waffle was as horrible as yours. Rock hard coating. Dry 1/4 waffle. And the much-touted banana cream pie was a gelatinous disaster.

You nailed it on the chicken n waffle. My wife ordered it last year on the Magic and we actually thought the chicken was leftover from the previous night’s dinner! All other items were good or great. Wonder why they struggle with such an easy dish?
It looks like the chicken was cooked well in advance of meal service. Most cooks love to cook everything at once as it is easier for them to do so. Quality goes down after an hour.

On port days, do they serve breakfast in the MDR at all? I think that I would probably pass on the MDR for lunch on sea days in favor of some of the other included restaurants. That food did not look all of that exciting although there are several dishes that I would like to try.

Oh what has happened to Carnival that is the most drab and plain dinning room on a Carnival ship.when i used to work on Carnival the dining rooms were so colourful vibrant and unique and no table cloth.I guess Joe Farcus is no more with Carnival.
I prefer savory for breakfast.

I tried the chicken and waffles on other Carnival ships and yes, it looks the same and does not taste good. Maybe Carnival has an issue with their chicken frying methods in their kitchens across the fleet. A chef from the southern USA needs to get in there fast and fix some real southern fried chicken for them 😂.

I had the chicken and waffles on my last carnival cruise and the chicken was pretty good, definitely looks better than what you were served. The waffle was bad though, very floppy and lacked flavor

You can get better food at a buffet on land.small portions, I'd starve on that boat.thet was a tiny tough piece of steak.
You can order multiple dishes- 2 steaks if you'd like

No worries. All the food you see are shared between the 3 of us (2 adults and a hungry teen), and we eat most if not all of the food.
The chicken looked dry.
