- If you have an FX Dreamline and are looking to add a bit of easy adjustability, this video will show you how to add the external power adjuster to your rifle. It’s a very simple, bolt on part that can be added without the risk of losing springs or damaging o-rings!
The FX Dreamline has a modular design that allows you to change more than just calibers. You can quickly and easily change from an ultra-light rifle to a bullpup with minimal mechanical aptitude...trust me!
Special thanks at Jon at FX USA for his help in sourcing these parts, and Justin at Utah Airguns for finding us a Dreamline Base...this project wouldn’t be possible without their help! Oh-and this isn’t all-there’s a bigger project on the horizon, so stay tuned!
Where did we get the parts? Here are the links:

Thanks PJ, easy and simple...much needed!
Thanks!
Nice looking part PJ. Great info.
It went together quite nicely. Great fit.
Nice Pj thanks for sharing this with us, much appreciated, Cheers
Glad to!
nice to see rifle assembled before and after.
This one is going in to a Saber Tactical Chassis. I'm working on this video now.
Great video!
Thanks!
Awesome video Mate. Thanks!
You are welcome.
PJ thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
Holy shit. Ive never seen PJ without a beard. I slmost had a siezure or something lol.
🤣😂🤣
Super video PJ great camera work. I just received my classic to tactical kit. Im wanting the stronger hammer spring to go with the power wheel. Is just a simple swap over also or do i need any supporting hardware. 👍
If you are just changing the spring for one with the same size but with more tension I don't see why you'd need anything else.
I have the fx dreamline bullpup, when you remove the part that has the power wheel, you can see the trigger spring to give it power if you tighten with the allen key
Yes. The power wheel add on controls the compression of the hammer spring. In the non-power wheel version the spring can be adjusted with an allen key.
Super Gerät
Thanks
Thanks for the video how-to install power adjuster for dreamline. However could you also include a video to install bigger plenum for dreamline as well? And how to tune it once installed? Thank you so much.
The plenum is on my list of things to try. It's not an expensive part, so that should be doable, if you can be patient.
@@WiscAirGunners I have 2 plenums on mine - couldn't be easier, 1 unscrew bottle ( or bleed your tube), Dry fire it to drain the reg, unscrew tube or bottle housing, screw plenums on and refit in reverse. czcams.com/video/jhj9E-zHmgA/video.html
Hi
Great video on how to make the install and the details behind.
2 questions
- If the wheel is moved while the guns "bolt" is pushed forward and it has NOT been shot/uncocked what can happen to the gun and how do you repair potential damage?
- If the wheel is moved while the guns "bolt" is pushed forward and it has been shot/uncocked is there potentially damage to be done?
You can damage the cam wheel inside. There's also a small nub on the preload screw that could bend. Both of those things can be replaced.
@@WiscAirGunners thank you very much for the response. How do I secure that no damage has been done?
@@danielhansen1715 If you are able to move it (when the gun is uncocked) without resistance you should be OK. If it turns roughly that might be a signal that there is a problem.
@@danielhansen1715 If it cocks smoothly and shoots and maintains velocity, you are OK.
Great “how to” video. I’m just wondering why you had to install a new power adjuster for your Dreamline.
It makes the adjustment easier and more repeatable and in some cases allows adjustment without removing the stock.
So without this, is the Hammer spring adjustment wheel actually doing anything when you turn it from min to max, given that the hammerspring plate is secured with locktight and doesnt move.. I am talking about the dreamline lite
Steve M if you install the adjuster without taking out the internal adjuster on the classic, the wheel will do nothing. It may not even seat...I’m not sure because I didn’t try doing it.
Hey.
Will this work with a Dreamline Classic? 🙏
I didnt hear what model you used in the video.
It will, but it might not fit back in the stock.
@@WiscAirGunners
Thats a pity 😔
where do i get that power setting for my fx dreamline
The Power Adjuster? I'd contact Southern Precision Air Weapons or Utah Airguns to see if they can get that for you. If it' not on their websites or anyone else's they have pretty good connections.
Hey ho... I´m new... And I did find the video informative.... Is this the part that you need to go from 10j to a more powerfull gun?
I think it could be used, but since I don’t have access to the 10J version I don’t know if that version also uses a different spring.
pj you got part number for that i need that same part cannot seem to locate it anywhere
I talked to a friend at FX USA, and others at two dealerships. The consensus was that you should call FX USA and press 1 for customer service and they should be able to sell that part directly to you.
I hope this helps you out.
For the price of the gun it should already be on it
They sold a lot of the Dreamline Classics, which wasn't designed with an external adjuster. There may be other models that don't have it. I think their design philosophy was that the parts were modular, so you could set it up to suit your needs, and change things as you want to. There's a price tag associated with that. There are a lot of owners of other guns who would love to be able to bolt on a new feature...but can't.
You have removed a nut with an allen key and then you have assembled the stone that carries the power wheel, when you do that, you take away power
You make the power adjustable (higher and lower) without needing to remove the gun from the action.
that you remove the piece that you unscrew, that gives it more power
Backing out the screw decreases hammer spring and reduces power if I'm understanding which part you are talking about.
On a retrouvé jack reacher 😂
What is the part number of the complete unit, with the 2 screws? ...I tried ordering it from FX USA, but they must not have known what I wanted because all I received from them was the knob and a screw. Ha ha! Thank you.
Dave,
I tore though my pile of old parts bags and I cannot find the number. I'll see what I can do to get it for you.
@@WiscAirGunners Thank you very much!
Mmmmm... there is a lot of stress on the valve seat when you dry fire with the HST on MAX. I prefer to move the wheel to MIN when I have to dry fire for whatever reason. Just my two cents.
Fair point, but max is relative to how you have the spring pre-loaded. I've not ever had a problem, but I suppose I should knock on wood.
will this power adjuster fit the wildcat MK1 please as they look the same at the back end?
Sorry Briddy but I don't have access to a Wildcat to test that out. I suspect it doesn't, at least not if you have your Wildcat in a stock.
@@WiscAirGunners Many thanks Info Bro.
Where is the fucking power adjuster ?? You replace it with what, to increase power
It’s a bolt on wheel that allows you to easily and repeatably adjust hammer spring tension.
