@Candice Lynn to be fair, Valentina while fairly nice on the show, wasn't very congenial afterwards, which is an important point to make. Whether it be the vast amount of hate the other queens got from her fans, with her not even making a public statement telling them to stop until it was brought up in the reunion, to how her friendship with Farrah was handled after filming, she appeared to be not supportive, kind or congenial. The reason she was voted in was because of her massive fan base completely doting on her and wanting her to "win something" at the time, and those are her words, not mine. If anything, someone like Peppermint would have been a great candidate for the award, herself even claiming that fact.
They were not "attacking her", they were stating blatant facts. She was dodging the blame for her fans reactions, claiming she didn't go on social media, that she stayed away from the life and so on even though that wasn't the case. And the other queens, ones who saw the negativity she was letting pass from her fans, were getting frustrated and rightly called her out on it. People got death threats and vile hatred sent to them from her fanbase, like Alexis and Nina, and she stood by and did nothing up until that reunion. How is that congenial?
@Candice Lynn they....they did though. There was an entire moment during the full reunion episode talking about how the fans treated Nina, how Alexis said she had received death threats and how she should have volunteered to leave to take Valentina's place. Her fan's were the problem, they were the ones sending those messages. This isn't "junior high school girl drama," death threats and hate messages can not only seriously affect someone's mental health but even push them to do serious and permanent things if they aren't in a healthy head space. The fact that you call it "drama" is honestly disgusting. Focused on winning or not those queens are still people, and deserve not to have those things said to them because a fan group was mad their favourite person got rightly eliminated. Nina did her job, she lip-synced like Ru asked her too, it wasn't her fault Valentina lost. And I'm editing this now to say that's my final statement. Anyone who considers online harassment from fans "drama" is not worth the time to try and explain a way out of that juvenile way of thinking, so good day/night.
Joslyn idolizing Courtney and then being shut down repeatedly by her idol really broke my heart for her. I genuinely felt so bad watching all that. :(

I do feel bad for Roxxxy for what happened in her childhood, but man she is just THE WORST.
She's one of only two queens I really can't stand from the series, the other being Tyra Sanchez (which I think is common).

At that point, Jinkx was a rather newcomer queen and a Jack of all trades, master in theater and the much more seasoned queen struggled? Roxxie just misbehaved badly due to the pressure she put herself on.
Jinkx and her get along just fine by now and talked it out.
HOWEVER Phiphi is still a way too competitive person and comes off as very horrible.

The way that Valentina looked utterly annoyed when Farrah was talking and consciously avoided turning around has always rubbed me the wrong way and it made me 100% believe everything Farrah said.

The season 9 reunion is the single best episode of drag race. The amount of fights, the shade, Sasha clearly being on a high from winning, Shea having no fucks left to give from losing.... It's just magical
I have watched the reunion so many different ways and I cannot count the number of times
It was a great moment because it feels like the girls were finally showing their true selves. This was the first season where I really felt like the girls were presenting an edited version of themselves for the camera. It's why Aja was so great cause she really said what she felt.

I'm new to this whole Drag Race thing, I've only been watching UNHhhh. And that's exactly the vibe I get from Trixie. At first she seemed more conscious and social of the two but then it got more apparent that Katya, even if she's a bit unhinged, sometimes actually acts as a moral compass for Trixie. It's not that Trixie is malicious, she just doesn't always get it.

To be patronising is to treat someone in a way that is apparently kind or helpful but that betrays a feeling of superiority, in the moment Courtney was offering Joseyln her help in elevating what she’s doing, while coming from a place of good intentions, there was an unconscious aspect of superiority and in True Courtney fashion she self evaluated and took ownership of how her words came across.
She wasn’t being mean at all and if you can’t see that you’re obviously not an Australian, so the cultural nuisance are lost on you. When Courtney said she felt like they were sisters, what she said previously to Joselyn is exactly how we would talk to our best mates, she took it personally instead. Cultural differences.

Don’t know why shangela got so mad like it wasn’t her note it wasn’t her station she just eliminated thorgy of course she’d be pissed. Shangela should’ve just read the note realized trixie didn’t care and kept it moving.

I mean, to Shangela’s defense. This is classic dramatic irony. We as the audience knew that Thorgy wasn’t entirely serious about either note, but Shangela just read written words with no context. While I do think that it was a bit of an overreaction on her part, I can totally see how and why she would reach that conclusion.

The "low budget version of Courtney" comment was mean but the other comments about the polishedness of her looks were just valid criticism which the judges have been telling her week after week: She over-accessorises and uses ill-fitting clothes or almost no fabric. If she wanted Joslyn to sashay away, she would have encouraged her bad decision and said something like "Don't let the judges get into your head and just be you!"
