Well to be fair, Eureka admitted pushing and testing the Vixen knowing full well how it would set her off. I love Eureka, but it wasn't fair how she treated Vixen.

@Mike i don't necessarily like the Vixen, but looking back on how Eureka treated her, it's hard not to see how toxic Eureka was. I get it, it's a reality tv show and the contestants need to deal with their competitors, but Eureka was a bully on purpose. The Vixen was also given the villain edit for trying to defend herself from the constant Eureka bullshit barage
@@pallasa I dont think it was a case of Eureka bullying The Vixen, I think it was a case of The Vixen being very volatile to anyone who was white and assertive and seeing the cast, Eureka was the OBVIOUS target, especially when all the other white queens are pretty mild or meek mannered. I believe Eureka can be on the obnoxious side, however she could at least put that energy into the challenges, whereas The Vixen was typical case of a self-saboteur.

The problem is that Vixen was making everything so personal. I definitely admit that Eureka purposely picked a fight and that was unfair and messy. However, Vixen truly thought that she should be spared because she was friends with the other girls. She wouldn't own up to her poor performance.
@@TheadambshapiroAnd let’s be honest, Eureka BARELY picked a fight with Vixen. She said one thing to see how she’d react and Vixen lost it. Just like she lost it on Aquaria previously for throwing some simple (and incredibly valid) shade. The Vixen made a lot of incredibly necessary points about racism and the black experience and Drag Race but she was also overly-sensitive, volatile and had a hair trigger temper and tried to blame every valid critique of her behavior on the show on racism. 🙄
@@mustlovebooknerd I think there was probably some stuff off-camera that we didn't see, but all in all, I agree with you. The biggest problem was that the Vixen came in stating "I'm just here to fight" and then the first conflict she inserted herself into was the Cracker/Aquaria situation which had nothing to do with her and was none of her business.
At the reunion show, I wish Ru had said something other than "you can just say nothing". I wish she had said something to the effect of "Make sure it's your fight before you insert yourself". I remember back to the whole Alyssa/Coco situation. The others really let them fight it out between themselves, because it had nothing to do with them and then finally after several episodes of their BS, the others collectively were like "OKAY! ENOUGH"!
And she literally chose Eureka out of jealousy because she did better than her and claimed that "Eureka stole the spotlight". Eureka just did good she didn't steal anything.
But she was my 2nd favorite mermaid after Aquaria

The Bianca/Ben "drama" is so utterly pointless. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that Ben was inferring that Bianca was good at everything and that she had an easy time sailing through based on her talent. What a weird misunderstanding. XD
But Bianca take it as an insult, and here we are, talking about an 8 years old drama. even Dela and Bianca talk about it on their appearances on the Pit Stop.
Isn't it funny that she can dish out insults but not take a compliment?? But maybe in a setting like that you can get a little more prickly than usual. So I can kinda empathize still.
Ya it was a total overreaction. Usually Ru would laugh at bianca making a shady comment like that to another queen, but she was total straight face cuz she knew bianca was in the wrong. But I’ve never been in that tense situation so it might’ve been easier to misunderstand and i’m sure they were cool once they clarified it. Maybe bianca thought she was implying that bianca was getting away with a lot of things and the judges were letting her sail through
If I remember correctly, didn't Bianca and Dela deal with it in the Untucked episode? I remember Bianca apologizing.
well bianca took it as like she doesnt apply herself in the competition like she doesnt even bother pushing herself and just relying on her humor and experience to get through. Thats why its "sailing". What bianca's point was, she knows she can sew and be funny but still work hard and push hard to win. dela basically undercut and undermines bianca's effort and hardwork

I always find it very interesting in S11, how all the remaining queens chose Yvie (except for Brooklyn) & the eliminated queens all chose Silky (except for Soju who is paired with Silky)! I truly believe this was the strategy by the remaining queens to throw Yvie off! It’s hard to see Yvie’s reaction when her name was mentioned!

As for your theory I think maybe they did talk about it before bc Silky did look a little shocked when Brooke said her and not Yvie. But that also could be editing or she really thought Brooke wouldn’t say her name. Not really sure.

Adore's face when Dela said sailing was pure joy. Like she KNEW Bianca was gonna come for her ass for that one.
Yes. DeLa saw her opportunity and took it, but I don't think she was quite expecting the backlash she got. And it's fair to say that Bianca didn't deserve that strike against her.
But I honestly don't think DeLa meant that to be shady; she was simply stating that Bianca was "sailing" through almost every challenge with the greatest of ease, while some others were struggling. Besides; does DeLa REALLY look the type to really, TRULY want to hurt someone or make them angry to lift themselves up? That doesn't really scan.
But, to play Devil's advocate, I don't think DeLa meant it the way it seemed to come across. I think it was meant to be something along the lines of, "Bianca is killing every challenge with the greatest of ease; she doesn't seem to have to try to hard."

The biggest thing that I always get from the S11 one, is how Vanjie even though you have to know that Silky's entire look was not it, still rode for her sister lol. But when Nina chose Yvie when she's seemingly been in her corner the entire season, even I was taken aback by that.

I mean I understood Bianca’s irritation about the “sailing thru” comment because when someone is told that they’re sailing thru it’s insinuated that they aren’t putting in a lot of effort but just getting by. Especially after helping de la with making her dress and assisting many other queens that season either by clothing choice, confidence, and even with help of makeup application.
The moment I heard it I knew how it would sound to Bianca even though I absolutely don't think BenDeLa meant it in a shady way. It's like when I told my friend her makeup looked like a Disney Princess.

Season one had something special about it. It was so real. RuPaul was in the trenches more... There was more push back. They didn't know the game yet. The reunion was iconic IMO and it scared the producers so much they revamped how reunions worked lol.

This only reminded me how poorly Yvie was treated during her season. She should have been in the top for the makeover, not the bottom!! And the other girls really didn't appreciate her drag style, so they threw her under the bus.
I'm glad she got the last laugh, but i'm still sad for her when i see her choking up when everyone says her name
Ikr, during the whole season it just feels like most girls don't want to accept her talent or something (even if she very often got positive feedback from the judges). I love Yvie, especially because she actually cared about competing against the others as the best versions of themselves, and it tore my heart that the girls were viewing her honesty as cruelty.
She did it to herself by being a know-it-all
I did feel bad for her, but saying the others didn't appreciate her drag is the pot calling the kettle black. I always got the idea that she had a strong idea of what was interesting drag and that she didn't appreciate anyone who didn't fit that idea.

Tbh after the "who should go home and why" portion of the judging I was like okay it's gonna be Yvie and Silky, then Ru put Nina in the bottom and that was the end of the season for me lmao, yes I was bitter my hometown queen was up for elimination...
i actually felt like crying when I saw Yvie's face when she heard her name. I mean clearly when someone says your unkind and not worthy to be here its a lot harder than hearing a lot of people say you should go home because your runway look didn't deliver in this challenge. And to my information, I never remember Yvie being directly mean to anyone, I do remember her doing what she had to survive the competition like the rest of the girls. It actually broke my heart.

@@leonastartz6358 Yeah, I'm not a big Eureka fan either (I don't hate her or anything, she just isn't my favourite queen), but Vixen always seemed to take offense to how Eureka's personality was, even when Eureka tried to bury the hatched between them. If anyone is at fault for the drama between them, it is Vixen, because she just wouldn't let it die.

Even after they had a talk about it, and Vixen said everything was okay, Vixen still, only a day after AT MOST, went back to being mean to Eureka. How that can somehow be Eureka's fault, I don't see.

This did remind me why I really disliked Silky on her season. There were some solid reasons. Also, Rolaskatox - trash.

I honestly never saw silkie winning her first season. It felt like akeria, oddly, brooklyn, and even plastique might get it. Now for all stars, she felt like a contender after the lip sync battle and felt that eureka should have lost her spot.

I actually met Yvie in Chicago about a year and a half ago and she was one of the sweetest people I've ever met! A lot shorter than I was expecting though. She was in heels and still shorter than me. I chuckle thinking about it sometimes.

Jinkx is an incredible Queen and I would take a bullet for her. BUT she really was struggling with the makeup and runway most of season 5. Luckily being a singer, actor, performer, and comedienne got her the crown and since then she's been serving LOOKS.
