    Thx for the advice! I connected with an Amazon VP who liked my resume, sent me link to job postings, asked if I’d like to schedule an “informational interview” and said her Recruiter would call me…Never heard back (it’s been a month). This is puzzling to me: A) why did she offer an informational interview only B) does she have positions to fill? C) do I write to alert her that I never heard from her Recruiter? Honestly I’m not looking to to prep for yet another intense series of interviews if not connected to an open position (see: “informational”) . Curious to hear your insights re: this unique situation. TYSM!

    Hi GG, Thank you for all the videos! they have been extremely helpful and i have binged watched them all.
    I have a few questions if you dont mind answering -
    1. An amazon recuriter has setup a call for a position (Sr. Program Manager) I had applied for. But I no longer see that position on the amazon jobs portal nor on LinkedIn, it wasnt there even the day she emailed me. Is it ok for me to ask if that positon is no longer valid? She'll probably tell me herself when/if we speak but in case she doesn't mention it on the call. On my amazon dashboard I still see that position as 'under consideration' but no hyperlink to the JD anymore.
    2. I do not know if that position is L5 or L6, i'm aiming for L6 given the length of my experience in that area. Is it ok to ask the recuriter? provided that role is still available. I assumed all 'Senior Program Manager' roles are L6. And if that position turns out to be L5, can i negotiate for an L6 or does not that happen?
    3. If I do make it to the interviews, what is the cadence/layout for the phone screens? is it all LP based or are there other focus areas? this role is non-tech so i was just curious on the format.
    4. And in the panel interview rounds, the interviewer does not disclose which LP they are focusing on right? that's for us to extrapolate based on their questions? if that is the case, what if my example for the question addresses a different LP than what they were looking for?
    5. In each panel round, I should expect to speak for atleast 3 examples between two LPs correct?For any follow up questions they may ask after I lay my example, those can be straight answers without following the STAR? I mean STAR is for the example itself, not for any follow up/probing questions on the example. Not sure if that makese sense.
    Really appreciate your help! Apologies if i have repeated any questions that you may have already addressed before.

      Hi Ganesha- hope this helps
      1) Of course you can ask..what’s the worst that can happen?
      2) You can ask..a Senior PM should be an L6.
      3) It will be LP based but there may be questions so the interviewer understands your technical skills in your field.
      4) Yes you have to extrapolate. It’s up to them to get you on the right track. If you’re off the mark totally they’ll ask for a different example.
      5) Follow up questions don’t need to be answered in STAR

    • @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503
      @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503  Před 3 lety +1

      OK- I think you are talking about the Panel round- which isn't always 3x 45min interviews. It can be more and they can be 1hr (depending on role and seniority).. The answer to your question is variable and dependant on role. I can't tell you the exact answer for the role you describe- I doubt any one person in Amazon, knows the exact process for every role. Coding/technical/math testing will be done ahead of Panel. If you don't meet the minimum standard on those, you won't get through to Panel. Then at Panel the primary focus is the LPs but some technical teams will ask technical questions/problems in addition to the LPs at Panel.

      So reaching out to random marketers is unlikely to give you much insight into that specific team. Amazon is massive chances are who ever you get to respond to you will never have heard of or come across that team. If you have questions about the team or the role you're better off asking your Recruiter rather than wasting time in a black hole of on line research and unspecified conversations with unrelated Amazonians.

    • @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503
      @amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503  Před 3 lety

      You're right, I don't do detailed videos on specific skills areas. There are many hundreds of technical job families in Amazon. Videos for each is unfeasible. Any technical testing either specific tests or questioning will happen in round 1 and or 2, alongside LP questions. Once passed that to Panel, it will be purely LP based questions. Although if you use a technical example in Panel, with a interviewer from your skills area, you might expect a technical follow up question. You'll need to prepare for both. But it won't matter how well you do in the technical tests, if you don't raise the bar on LPs you won't get hired. 🧙‍♀️

      There's actually more now due to the recent launch of 2 new LPs. The AIQB is a confidential document covered by the confidentiality clause in all Amazonians contracts- it's therefore not something anyone should be sharing publicly. .

    Hi GG! Your videos have been extremely helpful in my interview preparation, thank you for making them. I just have a few questions:
    If my panel or final round interview is my first live interview for the position, should my response to the 'Why Amazon?' question still be kept short (2-3 sentences)?
    Also, for the leadership principles questions, what is a good length for an ideal response?
    Thank you so much again, and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    With due respect sir,
    Amazon hr interviews need tobe monitored.
    I mean, they got to be recorded.
    Many cases, particularly, women who interview the candidates ate sullen and off mood.
    They bring their frustrations and shkve it on the deserving candidates.
    Resilt is worthy candidates get rejected amd dismayed.
    Amazon is fabulous place to work and prosper.
    Candidates are desirous and generally are in a tense frame of mimd, because they dream to work in Amazon.
    It hurts. It may reflect on the company, which is wtomg, but, what to do.
    This happened recently at visakhapatnam.
