I'm a student in psychology. This test is used in psychoanalysis, which means it has absolutely no scientific value. Actually, it is pure bullshit !

@@joaovpimenta You can take 1000 subjective tests or 10 or 25, at the end you will obtain something subjective, with no value. I have read a lot about it, and I will not change my mind. For me subjective tests and all this shit are completely useless, and of course very dangerous for many reasons. The theory is based on nothing, actually anyone can analyse it, it has no sense, and this is why psychoanalysis has to be bannish. Because it's dangerous to mess with vulnerable people mind's (false memories, etc). If you want to get better, do some cognitive and comportmental therapies.

I'm actually reading a book that briefly covers the Rorschach Test!
the inkblot they show is actually the second card out of 10 inkblot cards. The book describes it as a card that "consists of red and black ink, and is often perceived as sexual in nature. The parts that are red are usually interpreted as blood, and the way a person responds can reflect the ways in which he or she manages feelings, physical harm, or anger".
to paraphrase the possible meanings of some of the most popular answers,
- seeing two people can show an overall focus on relationships ad bonds, can symbolize codepency and obsessions with intimacy
- seeing one person looking at their reflection can mean self absorbtion or self reflection/discovery
- a dog can symbolize " an affectionate and loyal friend", and interpreting the inkblot as sad or negative can mean that they have some fears and inner feelings they have to acknowledge/reflect on
- an elephant can symbolize either thoughtfullness/intelligence or a negative physical self image
- a bear can symbolize aggression and independence, or feeling vulnerable or earnest
- seeing a person praying can be symbolic of their beliefs of intimacy "within the context of their religion", and blood can show that they may associate pain and/or anger with religion, or that they turn to religion when experiencing negative emotions
i think the Rorschach Test is relatively interesting, so seeing a video of what other people and it is a good way of getting some insight on how the majority of people tackle the inkblot test.. personally i saw two elephants giving high fives with their trunks lol

The only issue with that is this test was designed to be interpreted by a person and that interpretation can change and vary from psychologist to psychologist so it’s not a widely used test for the variability reasons.
@@quailquest2392 The rorshach is a well validated test but this is only one of the many images in the test and it needs to be administered in a specific way and the cotation/interpretation must be done following a very specific system to be valid (ex. exner system) :)
