hi , i am glad you enjoy new orleans. my family was from new orleans and my dad grew up in the french quarters in the 40's . we grew up in a suburb outside of new orleans where the battle of n.o. was. but things have changed especially since katrina and like most democratic mayors, n.o. has become a cesspool of crime. very sad. i haven't been there in many years even though i live across the lake. please be very careful where ever you go. trust no one. susan b in slidell, la
What an excellent video! The only trip that I ever cancelled was to New Orleans before the flood. I had a boutique hotel half a block from the street and had plantation, cemetery and swamp tours booked .And every time I see one of your great videos from New Orleans, my travel heart bleeds a little as I never mase it back their. Great vlog!! I still prefer a plain beignet with powdered sugar. Just something about the simplicity. I spent about 6 months in Louisiana traveling with my company(your old company) and the alligator tours are awesome!!

Thanks for another fun video. You two have to come back the Wednesday or Thursday before Mardi Gras. Try some different King Cake, attend the Muses Parade, and a Mardi Gras Brunch at Commander’s Palace. Also, Jazz Fest is fun as well. Tons of food and music sometimes rain. 😔

Loved your reviews of the places to go in New Orleans. The Meow restaurant looked great with the delicious food especially the charred oysters. I'm very sorry you had to compete with the noisy couple at the bar making so much noise at the bar. It was hard to hear over their loud talking.

We must have just missed you guys! We were there for four days end of June! It was our second trip and so glad we watch you guys! Willa Jean was so good we ate there twice! We’re thinking of going back end of April and staying in the Garden District. We are wanting to try Gris Gris, Saint John, Turkey and the Wolf, Hungry Eyes, Domilise’s, Creole Creamery and others out there! Love keeping up with your foodie travels!!!
