- How much money do WWE wrestlers make? How do WWE wrestlers get paid? I'm going to be answering all that and share how much money I made in my entire WWE career.

Thank you for checking out the video! To answer the question, yes, that is prop money we used. Thanks again for watching!
Brag Much lol.... Just kidding... Glad you held on to your Money
Is this a new channel not much content on it but really enjoyed the content I'm hoping it's not a channel that's not been left to die and one that's just started.
As a EFinance/Tax guy this is exactly the detail I want to see. You broke it down instead of "working" it & glossing over the fundamentals like others do. Keep doing that & you'll have the audience you want.
The video came out to a great pop and got insanely over in such a quick time. You should be commended for its booking 😁
I wanted to hear more about the breakdown for motels, flights, rental cars and gym passes. (People gloss over this)
You said you would make $4000 a month. But if you stayed at a motel every single day for $80, that's $2400 right there. And we're just getting started!
Hey Mav did you work as a bouncer Security in a bar on Secound avenue in NYC a few years ago, but after WWE, I remember seeing you, but not in the bar from outside when I was on the city bus several times.🚌

Went to my first WWE event when I was 5 and after the show I was so nervous to ask Maven for a picture, he walked up to me and took my camera and said "don't forget to smile kid". My aunt that took me to the show passed away in 2005 and you can see her in the background of the picture looking shocked and excited that Maven did this. I will never forget that moment as a kid
I saw this comment in so many places by other users wtf

That's an incredible story. I'm not sure if you know or not but Maven's biological aunt raised him after his parents passed in a car accident. Sadly, his own aunt, who he knew as more of a mother figure, passed from cancer in 2004. It sounds like you and Maven both had some pretty special aunts who are sorely missed.

Maven as a CZcams content creator is what we all wrestling fans needed. He was lost for thousands years and this is golden. I always wanna know what maven had went through. Especially he's probably the most known tough enough top star(not a flex). Love this dude energy.
Respect to Maven but John Morrison is clearly the most well known Tough Enough winner. If we're not talking winners, I'd give it to The Miz.
@@sportsentertained The only reason I say that is cuz I only saw the first two seasons and the ones I solely remember Maven and Nidia and later Shaniqua. I didn't see when Morrison was is in it. I remember the miz in The Real World, not tough enough.
Yeah I appreciate this, because it's a free former wrestler able to talk about his experiences without repercussions. The part that hits hard is the more you earn, the more you're taxed. Which is why it irks me the most is that the laziest in society are the biggest critics of capitalism. But I digress, much respect to Maven!
@@AdamPalomino You might digress, but you still speak the truth. Maybe not the time and place, but still
@@sportsentertainedI still think it's Maven. I love Johnny and never knew he was even on Tough Enough. I associated Maven with Tough Enough.

Maven - I was a big WWE fan during your run and remember watching you every time you were on. It’s nice to see that you’re alive and well. I’ve been binge watching your channel and I completely appreciate the transparency in your content. Take care brother!!
Thanks for this. I always wondered how getting paid changed after the birth of the WWE Network. I do remember reading in the pre-network days that guys would love just to be on the big PPVs like WrestleMania. Anything, even if just a run-in, would be great for them.
Maximum respect for being honest and telling us all about something most do not

@@PowerPlayersTV but that's not how it should be. Pay should be transparent. Everything else only benefits employer short-selling tactics
@@PowerPlayersTV He get offered from them but refused. So it's mostly cause he doesn't want to return rather than the other way around. Plus, he didn't really say anything really bad about WWE. Things like these should be transparent anyway
@@dieptrieu6564 Right..... Sure fanboy. I'm sure WWE is really desperate to bring back Maven .....You're delusional child.
Like everyone has said, it’s so refreshing to actually see a wrestler put some production value in their videos instead of just doing the same copy and paste format where they get together with a wrestling mark and answer questions from them or rattle off questions from the fans. This is the type of content that tells the viewers “I actually care about my fans.” I hope Maven keeps this up because I’m hooked now.

Yo! It's so refreshing to see someone so transparent and just getting to the point. Super insightful video!!
Man, WWE really should provide car rentals. They would get brilliant rates, amd they could deduct a rental car fee from the downside
Independent contractors don't get rental cars, pal.
As a stockholder I am vehemently against that. That lowers WWEs value.
Some wrestlers are likely to be on DUI, so I don't think car rental companies are too keen on the idea.
@@gk2370 I worked in fleet management and business to business leasing. I dealt with probably the biggest car Rental group there is. I can confidently say they dont give a cr*p what happens to their cars or who ends up driving them.
@VirgilZandig are they really independent contractors if WWE owns your rights while you're under contract where you can't go to a cross promoter, I'd call that an employer.
One of the most interesting wrestling videos I've seen in a long time. Great to learn about how the pay in WWE works (back when you were wrestling, anyway). The drop in your royalties is nuts!
Maven has such a great story and I'm so happy he's here telling it. I remember watching him on Tough Enough as it aired. It was a great show especially for wwe fans. It's nice to see Maven have so much appreciation for the wwe when we hear so many horror stories from other ex wrestlers. It's obvious Maven takes accountability for his past and blames nobody but himself for his dark times. I'm glad to see him happy and healthy again
Can't say he was a favorite of mine, never turned on the TV and said "yes, it's Maven time!", but I always had a soft spot for him after that first Tough Enough and appreciated when he had a good match or was used in a fun way. It's a very tough business that has eaten up a lot of greats, and it's always nice to see a wrestler make his way through unscathed. Maven looks healthy, clear-headed, reasonably well-off and has a great perspective on his career; super happy for him. Thanks for these videos!
Trying to remember him.🤷
@@joblow6291you’re too young, don’t worry.
Same, but I wanted to see him progress. Was good to see a regular guy go for it. Glad he got that experience and turns out to be even more successful in Wall Street
Very beautiful to see
He dealt with addiction after wwe he’s sober now. Was addicted to pain killers
Amazing stuff again from Maven. I love that we get to see the financial estimate from a mid card guy, because that's basically the average career which applies to most regular talent. And it seems to me Maven was smart about his money and made him a good provider for his family. May God bless you dude and more blessings to come.
Great content Maven!!! The videos ur putting out r things wrestling fans love to hear/find answers to straight from someone who was a WWE superstar! And I like that u r making sure not to put anybody else’s personal business out there that they haven’t already talked about publicly themselves
This definitely made me feel better about all the money I spent on WWE DVDs back in the day 😂 Glad you guys got paid!
Especially with peacock now always back with WWE Network they still got paid cuz it was a pay-per-view now they don't get nothing for it
Those memories of owning those ppv dvd’s tho 🥲
Keep them as they're still unedited.
I wonder why they don’t get royalties from the network subscription fee. I have to assume the amount they make per month is massive considering wwe network has subscribers globally
@@Ty-cq6fzStreaming is so convenient for us as viewers, but it sucks for everyone involved.
$800k for a relatively short term in the fed as a lower midcarder is the type of crust not to be sniffed at.
indeed some people would kill for that
So he made about 200K a year for 4 years before taxes and other expenses. So 100k after close to half of it goes to Shlomo and his gang of swine (tax thugs)
30k towards rent for that year or mortgage. 10k for car payment. 10K to sudden unexpected events like dog gets sick or house maintenance. 10k-20k for on the go work related for flying, car rentals, hotels, and food. He’s left with about 50k to do whatever he wants with it for the rest of the year (buying clothes, jewelry, toys, saving, investing) which is still pretty damn good to have that much left. But you better have a backup plan as those 4 years will go by pretty fast.
love the content Maven! always had respect for you coming out of Tough Enough, even with a head start in the business you still had to earn the respect of the locker room. 800k not a bad earning for the early 2000’s
This was a really well informative, structured video. I'm glad your channel has been recommended on here. I was always a fan. Several months ago I found your intro song video on here and said that you were like a less corny version of The Rock and could've been the main guy. I can't wait to see what video you post next. Maven eliminating The Undertaker from the Royal Rumble is still one of the biggest shocks I’ve ever seen in wrestling history. Iconic moment!
Why? It's all fake

I don’t think current wwe superstars can do CZcams or twitch or anything like that. I remember AJ styles had a twitch and wwe had him take it down. But still it is eye opening to see how much they can make.
@@Digolebicks92Yes they can. Xavier has had a CZcams for years as has Sheamus. Zelina does the twitch thing. There was a controversy about that that got resolved during HHH'S semi takeover late 2022.

Like for example, did you make more money for being The Hardcore Champion, or was it just because you were being featured more in general and just happened to be a champion at the time?
Really love this content btw, I brought that example up specifically because the first Maven match I ever saw was Maven v Goldust at WMX8. Honestly the way the belt flip flopped all night was so hilarious, its unfortunate they couldn't recapture that magic with the 24/7 title.
