This scene alone proved to me when I first saw it that TCW was about to get brutal. And it did until it was sadly canceled. With the rebirth of Maul, we got to hear a familiar voice make its way back into the Star Wars galaxy. And that voice was Sam Witwer. After finding out that both Force Unleashed games are no longer cannon, us Star Wars fans were afraid that we would never see another appearance from Sam again. What made Kenobi not believe it was Maul from the halogram and this first encounter is because Maul actually talked when he didn't talk that much in the movie.
That moment you realize Darth Maul could tell Obi-Wan the true identity of Palpatine right there. Maul gets what he wants (revenge on Sidious) and the Jedi wins. Then after Maul could try to kill Kenobi again.
Maul is one of the few characters that Disney has allowed to have an actual significant bad guy arc with substantial evil consequences for the universe.
this scene is nothing but chills as soon as maul stomps and the mental Klinks, maul is literally grinding on his teeth letting obi one feel his rage without losing his cool. the flames matching his eyes & the high ground. so much rage with even more patience his biggest flaw at one time.

I mean literally even at the very end when Obi-Wan killed him, Kenobi knew damn well Maul was gonna try that move that killed his master, he was prepared for it. Maul didn't think ahead, he was fueled too much from hatred and ego.
Literally the only reason Savage dislikes the Jedi is because in his eyes they ruined his brothers life,destroyed him and left him ruined,Savage deeply cares for Maul and it shows

That moment you realize Darth Maul could tell Obi-Wan the true identity of Palpatine right there. Maul gets what he wants (revenge on Sidious) and the Jedi wins. Then after Maul could try to kill Kenobi again.

Hard to believe that even a skilled combatant like Obi Wan lost to Maul. Really shows how he let his emotions of vengeance cloud his vision.

Maul is one of the few characters that Disney has allowed to have an actual significant bad guy arc with substantial evil consequences for the universe.
this scene is nothing but chills as soon as maul stomps and the mental Klinks, maul is literally grinding on his teeth letting obi one feel his rage without losing his cool. the flames matching his eyes & the high ground. so much rage with even more patience his biggest flaw at one time.
This is one of the best scenes in the entire series!

This is officially Mauls revenge on Obi wan. He could've killed him. That's defeat. It seems him becoming overconfident and cocky (clone wars Obi wan main personality trait) is and always has been his downfall. I believe he only managed to defeat anakin because he knew him so well
