That comparison of Bran and Jamie now both being a "cripple" was foreshadowed in episode 2 of season 1. The Lannisters are eating breakfast and Tyrion is clowning with Tommen and Myracella, and Jamie and Cerci are talking about Bran. Jamie says something like, "Uh, a cripple. I'd rather be dead."
