Today, Jim and I joined my daughter, son in law and grandson for a Father's Day lunch at the country club restaurant in their community. We also celebrated Marcia's recent birthday. It was a fun and memorable day.

Happy Fathers Day Jim ! Dad died 36 years ago on Jan 14th 1988 age 71 .I was not close to my Dad but I would of loved to spend Fathers Day with him but he died 36 years ago and I was going on 32 years old when he died and Ill be 69 April 22nd next year and he would be 108 on September 8th 2024 .

Lol you are very observant Stacy. I never even saw him change his shirt, he was so fast. I didn’t even notice he had changed until I was editing the film footage lol. I love potatoes, but they give me such heartburn that I usually only eat a few bites of them. And I am such a slow eater and everyone I go out with just inhales their food in minutes that I feel guilty holding everyone up while I eat. So I almost never got to finish eating. 😩 I think I need to find new friends and family members who eat at a more normal pace instead of all these speed eaters that I hang around with lol! 😳😂

When checking out places in San Francisco, some will charge you for parking, and be very careful of people breaking into your car!
Thanks for the tip W! Yes, the hotel where we are staying and charges $30 a day for parking! 😩 they have parking under the building which I’m going to try to get. They also have a lot on the side of the building and I read online that one of the guys parked there and their truck was broken into. I know that I was a lot at Hotels in touristy areas. I hear about it happening here in Palm Springs too! 😩 I always lock my car and double check it and never leave anything in the car, especially anything visible. Sadly, these days no one is safe anywhere, no matter what you do. Is have to do the best you can and over the best. Thanks for the reminder though. 😊🤞
@@theretiredlifewithsteve many, many years ago, stayed at Holiday Inn I believe was on Van Ness, and our room was very high. After going out at night, woke up mid-day and fog was under us, looked like we were isolated, and all we could see was Coit Tower!

What a beautiful video of you and your family celebrating together! Looking forward to SF Pride Parade. I'm with Jim however, I prefer quiet venues and I don't like large crowds but no problem watching it on video. The time I went we travelled over on BART like packed like sardines so its good you'll be at a hotel nearby. It should be lots of fun for you and Mason to experience! Don't forget to get a loaf of SF sourdough!

I had my celebration with family and friends last night, my son and his husband surprised me one day before and it was nice to see them all at the same time, which almost never happens. And of course I got a little tipsy after a few drinks which I'm not used to anymore, but, all in all it was a nice get-together. Oh, and happy birthday to, Marsha, she looked very relaxed after the move of course. That is a beautiful community. Steve, I was thinking because, I might have a similar situation soon, I'm thinking of moving to P.S. ... how can, Mason, live with his parents in 55+ community ?

Children and others who are under 55 are not allowed to live there, but they can visit and stay for two weeks I think. It might be a month at a time. Did you notice all the kids in the pool! 😳 it looks like every grandparent had their grandchildren visiting for Father’s Day lol. How fun that you might be moving to Palm Springs. i stayed at the Herbert that's a very cool marin type redwood carmel hotel on Powell st near the bart station and haight ashbury they have a restaurant cafe upstairs i always stayed there when i went to the haight ashbury music festivals and main reason was the temps were very comfortable but PS at 113 nope been there done that 23 yrs lived in PS

But I think i found one in The Netherlands. Noordwijk (is like the Beverly Hills of The Netherlands) and beer billionaire Freddy Heineken lived there (he was abducted for millions in the early 80s ya know). Meaby, for the next roadtrip with Mason you can go to NY and tell him about Stonewall. Love to all dear to you.

I think the HOA fees are around $365 a month. Which is not really that bad for HOA communities here in Southern California.

Hi Kathy, sorry it sounded that way. I told her I loved it, which I do. I love pool floaty‘s. Jim‘s favorites are the ones you can lay on like this one so that’s why I said he would probably use it the most. The restaurant was very noisy so it was probably hard to hear everything that we said. Thanks 👍
Father’s day in Australia is September you are the same as the uk I know that because I have family in the uk my dad just missed Father’s Day’s last year he died just four weeks before what I did last year some of my friends lost their father s to so we all went out for lunch
