    FYI
    I feel if you only intend to replace one bulb or maybe 2 on the same side, going in through the wheel well is the better approach.
    But, if you intend to replace bulbs on both sides and multiple bulbs, I recommend considering the procedure recommended in the Altima mechanic's manual... Which is to remove the front bumper which allows you to then unbolt and remove the headlight assemblies. Note that Nissan construction of the front part of the car is very flimsy, so if you do this you may find that due to previous collisions that reassembling might be an adventure if a lot of panel attachments have been deformed and might need some pulling and pushing back into position.
    In any case on my 2015 Altima, I only needed to remove 4 bolts on top and a couple of fasteners in the wheel wells to pull my bumper forward without removing the bolts that secure the bottom of the bumper. With the top of the bumper pulled forward, I had enough room to undo the bolts holding the headlight assemblies and pull them out and once that was possible all the lightbulbs are easy to access... High, low and foglight.
    For anyone who is changing their low beam headlights because they're dim though, don't do anything until you read the comment I posted about the Suarez vs Nissan Northamerica class action lawsuit that was settled in 2021. Although the settlement in this case outrageously won't fix the factory defect after Oct 2022, you should know about this and maybe report this to NHTSA so that maybe a proper recall would be issued. If you can't find my post immediately for this video about this, maybe scroll all or most of the comments and do a search for my name and maybe "like" the comment so that others might have an easier time finding the comment which is very important for anyone with dim headlights and owns a Nissan Altima.

    Just a heads up! I have the 2016 Altima SR. The PASSENGER SIDE high beam power cable attached to the vehicle is very short!
    This makes it very hard to snap together to the power cable on the new lights and the space is very small. It tool me over 2 hours and bloody hands to get it attached. If you have big hands you are screwed!!!!

    Just installed the Enlight SolarFlare LED Headlight Kit in my 2017 Maxima. Love the brightness and white color of the lights. Big difference from the stock halogens!

    • @Enlightautomotive
      @Enlightautomotive  Před 6 lety

      The Maxima uses the same SolarFlare LED bulbs for both the low and high beam. You can simply purchase another low beam kit and it will work for the high beams.

    Is this the same for a 2016 Altima 3.5SL? Reason I ask, I peeled the wheel well back and can’t see a low beam bulb (as clearly you showed on your video). Did the fog lights with no problem, but I’m struggling with the low beams.

    Very nice and bright, but don’t be fooled by this. The actual light casting (down the road visibility) is shorter with these bullshit aftermarket LED bulbs. There is no comparison between MFG (Nissan) LED lights and these overpriced, underperforming aftermarket LEDs.
