- We're no stranger to the 950 JDJ. Fat Mac is an old friend of ours dating back to 2017. Now this rifle has a new friend, the impressive and powerful 14.5 JDJ.
Both spawned from the genius of cartridge developer and handgun hunter J.D. Jones, the 14.5 JDJ brings with it a slightly smaller profile than the 950 JDJ, but still with 50% more energy than the venerable 50 BMG.

Coming soon to _Kentucky Ballistics..._
That would be a great home for BOTH of them!
Brandon herrera v kentucky ballistics in a bidding war.
My exact thought when I saw it in my feed.
@@Theshropshireratter Doesn't really seem like Brandon's kind of thing to me.
@@jic1 not the gun but starting a bidding war with another famous youtuber for fun yeah
@Kentuckyballistics you need these. Do it. Just do it.
My 1st thoughts
Put a Thumb in It 😇
he just made a post on Instagram with those rounds
@97g no way...I don't have Instagram so I'll havr to take your word for it. That is going to be amazing
@@justin4323 yea, he is with 4 rounds in his hand with a caption "guess what i got"
I'm really excited about his next video
Kentucky ballistics has entered the chat 😂
5:32 that's pretty crazy. I used to shoot 210 grain out of my .30-06, and those rounds would hit like a truck. that "baby" round is absurd.
Ok, now make an even bigger one
America!!!
Me man, two big sticks, go BOOM!
Fat Mac Cause The Table Cloth To Catch Fire When You Shot It Joel I Remember That 😊😀😊😊
@kentuckyballistics!
STOP SENDING ME YOUR MINIE SHORT STORIES BIG SCREEN😊 ONLY .
You cannot physically neck down a 20mm case to take a .950 bullet as the 20mm case would only be .787" so it would require necking up. The Vulcan case is appx. 28.5mm diameter and 102mm long and that case is shortened to 70mm, then necked down to 24.1mm for the JDJ. Not really incorrect information you are providing, but not thorough or clear either.
incorrect. 20x102mm Vulcan case diameter is 1.145" near the base, tapering to 1.022 at the shoulder, and then necked down to .808.
@@Garand69 I said appx and appx 28.5 mm is less than 2/100ths of 1.14". Please provide where you get an .808 spec? Everything I have ever read and its a lot, says the 20mm Vulcan shoots a .787 round and so .808 would be way too big and the bullet would simply fall into the case. You can find this quote in dozens of places, magazines, internet, books, etc. "All 20 mm cartridges have an outside projectile (bullet) diameter and barrel bore diameter of approximately 0.787 inches (20.0 mm). Also easily found, The M61 Vulcan is a hydraulically, electrically, or pneumatically driven, six-barrel, air-cooled, electrically fired Gatling-style rotary cannon which fires 20 mm × 102 mm (0.787 in × 4.016 in) rounds at an extremely high rate (typically 6,000 rounds per minute). So unless you have a piece of new 20mm Vulcan brass in hand, I doubt you are correct, but you go with that
@charliel1724 Your not necking up the case, your shortening the case beyond the shoulder, and then necking down to bullet diameter. The .808 is OD of the case, not the projectile.
lol wow
