Excellent tutorial. It first I was like, no way...that's too advanced. After i practice Debbie's detailed step by step instructions, i was surprised how i was able to pull this move off. Practice makes perfect of course. But her tutorial helped ALOT! Thanks Debbie, you got a new subscriber!

Hi Dirty Deborah! I am the 59 year old who hasn't roller skated in 30+ years. I so enjoyed this lesson and learned quite a bit. I always had trouble with spins because no one taught me the fundamentals and techniques so thank you. I also was never told to loosen the truck nuts on my skates giving my wheels some flexibility. I have learned so much watching your videos so many thanks. I sure wish you were in NY vs. CA! Oh and love the flower in your hair with the braid!!

Dirty Debbie you are a fabulous instructor. Your explanations are detailed and clear. You are living your destiny girl! I, for one, love watching. I have been skating since I was 4 and we used the skates that strapped on to your tennis shoes and had metal wheels! I am 58 and rock much nicer skates these days but your program instructs and entertains and reminds me of the rules I have gotten lazy about. I skate like I skate and that’s that. Nope! Thanks to you, I skate like I skate and I throw in some changes to keep it fresh. Much love Dirty Debbie. You rock 😉

Oddly enough this is one of the first tricks I accidentally learned to do in my first couple weeks skating (while trying do a related move). Makes me imagine im an artistic skater for a couple seconds!! BUT I’m here now because I cannot teach it to my other leg no matter how much I try. This was so helpful! I think my dumber leg is starting to get it now. Ty ty!!!
The first thing I'm going to do after this'Rona is over, is a hair appt. The second is I'm going to book a flight to CA and multiple back to back appts with Deborah! I love how this is broken down into segments so that I can practice getting the accessible steps down and build into it! The counting is genius! I count everything. It tells me where I need to be. I like the formal format too. Thanks for all you offer to the skating community. We're all here to support growth and have fun doing it! Thanks Again!

Really like the figure skating aspect and thank you for so many on line videos. When I’m skating to music its very much about smooth flow - the smoother the better and more fun. It’s also more efficient. I like to ice skate on hockey skates but with a jamming figure type style. Ice hockey skates, I would argue are more akin to roller skates than figure skates. There’s only a few extra moves the toe picks will give you plus hockey blades are narrower and therefore faster. I highly recommend ice hockey skates for any roller skaters that wants to try.

I just found your channel and I love it! I'm thinking about getting back in a roller skating. I haven't roller skated since I was 13 and I'm 50 years old now. Man how I wish I was back in California I'm originally from Oakland. I love your Technique I'm going to try this at our locals rink here in the city I'm in. But you know what would be really cool? Is if you have a student a beginner doing that right on the side of you then Wicked say how they're doing it at the beginner you're so smooth you can't really tell what it would look like if a beginner was doing it. That's just a suggestion but I'll look at for your video so far and I love love love it you are the bomb. I've subscribed and given all of them a thumbs up
Just got back up on skates after 40 years and these videos are so so helpful. I've Been practicing everything and boy the bending your knees and centering your gravity really helps. Keep 'em coming. Can't wait until it's safe to get back in the rink. My skates are really old and the wheels are really hard so not sure if maybe I should upgrade to something newer.

I used to figure skate as a kid/teen... 15 years later and I’m trying to roller skate, literally no muscle memory - that, or the skills are not transferring well for me lol! It is a struggle. But your videos are super informative and I always watch all the way to the end of your videos for the pep talk. :)

Everyday i wake up in the morning at 6 to go skating, i can't wait to go skate because the early evening I have been watching and rewatching your videos and saying "Tomorrow i want to try this", but i don't know if i can really follow your words, because before to get known of you, i bought rollerblades (so skates in line and not the squad you have :( please don't hate me, i don't know if there is some discrimination thing between rollerblades and rollerskates...) so i have been wondering for all these days (scared to be asking something stupid) if it is that different and how much different.. If i can really follow totally what you say to do (give you all my loyalty.. Sounds romantic). Btw, i would still watch you, just only for your energy, your positivity.
