If you go first as GSC you can't generate CP with acolytes as you don't control the objective until the end of the command phase, and acolytes generate CP at the start of the command phase.

Just wanted to raise something for Containment (the new secondary with actions on sides that complete immediately). I believe that the main rules for Pariah Nexus state that you cannot do anything else that turn if you do an action. So although it completes immediately, you cannot do anything else! (hopefully this isn't covered later on!)

But but you can't have that opinion or you're a hater. Getting very turned off from this channel. Maybe 1 reason ppl are so divisive about the book is because the actually LOVE it and it's frustrating.
@@LSDJester67 the book have some flavour, just lacks raw power. People these days need instant gratification and raw power and accessibility from their games. If the game is too hard or tricky, they brand it as a bad game design.
Yes, "Souls" exist, but that is a video game. Instant redo, you do not need to invest much time in setting up. I know a lot of tabletop people who hop from army to army because they are "power of a month". Fun fact, most of them lose even with those powerfull factions, because when you chase the power, you lose nuance of a faction, you lack expirience.
It is always easy to suggest something is bad. It is much harder to thoroughly test it yourself and form an expirienced opinion based on time and effort invested.
@deniszubko3819 I can appreciate that stance to a degree. However, I have made clear in other comments I am not a power gamer or even care for tournament balance. I play to have fun, and I just find it a bit disingenuous to start a video saying" ignore the haters" in one flase swoop. Not every critic, opinion, or unhappiness with a product is hate, and if that's how it will be handled, as much as I don't like throwing the term around loosely, that reeks of boot licking. I don't have 27 armies, I don't chase metas, I want to play fun casual games with my friends where I feel like I have a chance and the better player can win. You are right, it's easy to say something is bad....but it also doesn't make you wrong. I see a serious problem with this book vs. Armor, knights, monsters, etc. If you can't admit setting up for a game, and knowing insanely u must play flawless to even maybe stand a chance, it isn't fun. I don't know what to say. Points can only fix so much. So u can keep your fun facts for the Art of War crowd. I was drawn to this channel because it seemed like 2 friends having fun playing a game we all love. Now it just seems like a lot of excuse making. There is a reason almost every batrep with the new book I've watched with people a hell of a lot more experience than me, and they still get stomped out. While Orks and now Sisters seem to be running rough shot. Fun fact, you may not see a problem there, but as I've seen in videos on other channels, I'm not the only one not finding 10th as fun as previous editions. Maybe my opinion will change, I honestly hope it does. But at some point GW need to start fixing problems, not doubling down
@@LSDJester67 I see what you are saying, but fun and casual is just that. Fun and casual. If you see that the army is underperforming, ask your opponent to tone it down. This game would've been a lot less one sided if they just extract two Hearthguard units and put more warriors or more vehicles in. You can always balance the fun and casual before battle yourself. Example. I play Death Guard. I like running masses of infantry, but do not own transports. Without them me army is dead in the water. I just ask my opponents to tone it down a notch and most of them agree that it will be one sided and we just quickly bash something, I explain what do I like, they explain what do they like and we find a compromise.
Is this book on a weak side? Yes. Were Death Guard abysmal at the index release? Oh yes. What fixed Death Guard? Points cuts. After my average list got around 250 points more models, it became much better into a lot of match ups.
I am not telling that you can not be unhappy. Be unhappy and be vocal. But best reserve gudgement for after the points changes. Will they solve everything? No. Will they help? Probably. We will have to wait and see.
Need to wait a week for the points to come out and see if there are any adjustments, GSC have tools still but the points need to change(go down) on some things.

Playing gsc myself and wanting to run this Detachment. I think the game plan is mostly reliant on genestealer jail. Followed by bikes getting the objects stickied. Everything else you take is just trying to tie up your opponent. I can't wait to run this army.
2:57:22 Feels kind of disingenuous to suggest that the GSC has "lots of units" when both they and LoV have 8 different modell kits, including Purestrains that are models from the Nids range (disregarding the sillyness that is the GSC character lineup).
I think GSC needs a heavy vehicle (like a titanic) or almost titanic kind of mining drill carrying rig (with weapons) or something and some named characters. An aircraft also would be beneficial. Personally, I like the multiple characters GSC has, but I definitely think that it needs at least these things to be able to be considered a complete army.

Well, it needs something more, I would love a tough unit but seeing how they handled the Aberrants makes it clear GW doesn't think GSC should have units like that.
For the record I hated the index when I first saw it, because the army rule is impossible to balance. If you roll hot it is too strong, if you roll poorly it is useless. Much rather have the 9th codex back, now THAT was fun and flavourful.
Question the hearth guard are infantry how were they able to shoot there grenade launchers and their plasma guns I thought only vehicles/ monsters can shoot with all weapons equipped
The only time a non vehicle/monster unit cannot shoot all of its weapons, is if the unit would be shooting pistol keyworded profiles in addition to any other.
I.e. you cannot shoot both the bolt rifle and bolt pistol from an intercessor, but you can shoot the embarked pistols out of a rhino in addition to its on board guns

Hey, I think that first secondary "Cull The Horde", I think technically you should not have discarded it. The 10 bike squad has 24 wounds, but it has a leader that will put it over 25+ wounds. So you technically had one unit that could score the secondary.
its written in that mission that leaders of the unit does not count towards counting wounds.
pretty sure Cull the Horde is worded to exclude leaders

Такое ощущение, что вся игра строилась на том, чтобы прорекламировать кодекс ГСК. Ну либо игрок за Лигу реально очень плох. Иначе я не могу объяснить, почему он так бездарно действовал, копил всю игру ср и толком не применял стратагемы. Можно было прожать овервотч с хартгвардов в пачку, которая вышла из транспорта, куча выстрелов, ещё и с летал хитами.
