    I wouldn't have removed the relay and capacitor. Looks like some features got deleted and safety. The relay is farely cheap. In my case it just has a bad solder.

      @@WheelersHoarder hey with how hard parts are to find and expensive this might be the fix or temp fix. At least you can undo the solder.

      @@valdesadam I don’t really think they are hard to find as long as there a reading with serial numbers on top .
      My best bet is getting a used one from junkyard would be perfect

    Questions
    1998 328I sunroof was able to open, but it doesn't close. Will this work? I don't have the tools or understanding on how to do what you.

    • @WheelersHoarder
      @WheelersHoarder  Před 2 lety +1

      Check your switch first if can be really nothing but the switch itself . Yes this will work , you can jump the wires straight to the motor , you will have to switch them every time you close or open to flip the voltage from + to - .

      Or easy connect them in one of your windows switches, they are identical.

    Cant u just buy a new relay?

    • @WheelersHoarder
      @WheelersHoarder  Před 5 lety +1

      i never looked but i thought finding the same relay matching the board won't be easy, now you can also get something different and solder small wires to the board it would work.

    • @valdesadam
      @valdesadam Před rokem

      @mattisdecat7876 and @wheelershoarder you can buy the relay. I noticed mine had broken solder on the two leads that output the power on the relay. I went to the extreme by opening the relay, but it was in great condition. When i solder the relay back it worked.

    • @WheelersHoarder
      @WheelersHoarder  Před rokem +1

      If all the windows stopped working following the sunroof , you must have a short in the system that blown the fuse . Remove the panels and find the burnt smelling part
