Thanks, There wasn't any one link, I collected them from different sources by googling "Thomas Jefferson on religion" etc. There were so many I could only select a few for the video. Also be careful of sources, quotes attributed to the founding fathers (especially Washington and Lincoln) by biographers are not always dependable, also you'll find many christians just flat out inventing quotes on internet sites. I made sure each of these could be traced back to the original source.

Read your history. Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli, signed by John Adams and ratified by congress. The first line reads:
"Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion;..." doesn't get much clearer than that.

Can you quote a source? John Adams was clearly antichristianity. no historian would dispute that. For the idea for a new, just John Adams quotes.
"As I understand the Christian religion, it was, and is, a revelation. But how has it happened that millions of fables, tales, legends, have been blended with both Jewish and Christian revelation that have made them the most bloody religion that ever existed?"
-- John Adams, letter to FA Van der Kamp, 12/27/1816

We were fighting to free ourselves from British rule. Britain separated from the catholic church back in the 1500's with Henry VIII. As Britain was and is Anglican it has no ties with nor does the catholic church have any say. There was no catholic presence to in the colonies at the time of and a great while after the revolution. The founding fathers were 'anglican' as was mother England. The citizens were calvanist, lutheran, episcopalian, puritains etc. Not catholic. Read your history!
