The oldest muslim communities are in the southern states of India (Kerala, Tamil Nadu) where arab merchants frequented during their dominations of the indian ocean in trade. These predated any conquest through the northern regions which was later invaded by Muhammad ibn Qasim RA in 712.
There exists some of the oldest mosques in South Asia such as the Cherman Mosque, Kerala (Oldest) built in 629, and Palaiya Jumma Palli Mosque, Tamil Nadu (2nd Oldest) built in 630.

First Masjid in India is situated in Kodungallur, a city in the South Indian state of Kerala. Islam reached here at the time of Prophet itself. Merchants from Arabia had trade relations with Kerala and landed in the port city of Crangannore known as Kodungallur today who met the king Cheraman Perumal. To them the king narrated a dream that the moon was split into two which he saw recently. So the Arabs introduced Rasoolullah to him and the king expressed his wish to go to Makkah and visit Rasoolullah. As a result the king reached Makkah, met Rasoolullah and embraced Islam and changed his name to Tajuddin. On the way back to Kodungallur he fell ill and died near Salalah where his tomb is situated. His companions came back with the royal decree granting permission to donate land for constructing masjids. Malabar coast in Kerala had also cultural and trade relations with Arab countries like Yemen. Infact in Hadramaut, Yemen the costumes of people shares similarities with that of Malabaris. Both in Kerala and Hadramaut they follow Shafi madhab which point towards the roots

The president of that mosque is Dr Seyd a surgeon who lives in Kodungallore. Sheikh Yasir, you can contact him for a detailed description of early muslims in Kerala and documentation of how the cheraman masjid was donated by the King to muslims after he converted to islam. The sheikh has made an error here. The Khojas came about much later, in the 14th century, due to the efforts of the Nizari Isma'ili da'i Pir Sadardin. Also, Pir Sadardin’s 13th-century ancestor Pir Shams was indeed based in Multan. While there are not historical sources that tie these later communities formed by the Nizari Isma'ili dawa to the centuries-earlier Fatimid-aligned Ismai'li state in Multan, it is not unreasonable to conjecture that there may have been traces of the Isma'ilis and Isma'ili thinking among the populace or some fertile ground for the later da'wa. Nonetheless, to mention the Khojas in the context of the Arab rule of Sindh is extremely anachronistic.

There's an Island called "Saint Martin"(named by British) in Bay of Bengal, previous name of that Island arrived from Arabic word "Jajeera", means Island. How Islam in spread depends on what type of area of India you from. In the coastal areas (e.g. Kerala, Gujarat etc) it was spread by Arab merchant, amongst my people it was predominantly Yemenis from the Hadramut. In the interior area however Islam was spread by Turkic armies, the most famous generals of those Turkic armies we know (e.g. Kilji, Ghazni etc). It's just the matter of geography and that's why the Hindutva caricature of muslim history of India is both dumb as it is dangerous (i.e. it's historically illiterate as much as it is incitement of genocide against India's muslims) and why an accurate understanding of history is important.

Shaykh, now the reality is different: sihr magic is open in Pakistan. No religious group can be entrusted due to corruption, and Sihr magic using jinn for jealousy, marriage purposes, business or smallest ignorant revenge. Injustices, no principles. Against Quran & Sunnah.
Apart from Shaykh's information regarding Islam entered the region:
When Islam reached Bani Isra'il, now in Afghanistan and North Western part of Pakistan all the way to the city of Jhelum.
And Bani Nu'h - both Ancient Jews & Greeks - from Iraq to Kashmir to South all the way to Karachi, there were debates, exchange of views according to religious scriptures, Tab'ur Inji'il Tora'a to gain comparative information. Also, Buddists from same tribes. There were no violence but acceptance of Islam.
Khorasan: from borders of Syria Jordan Iraq & North western part of Saudi Arabia to Karachi, from Karachi straight up to the north city of Jhelum, then Kashmir, some part of China, then to the western side: Central Asia, incl Iran & back again to Iraq. There are now maps, yes, but this is for more information that shouldn't be forgotten. Some may disagree, but it's just more information passed on for generations by elders.
    As Salaam Aleykum
