She can come get all her oil whilst she’s at it
how ?? i doubt she's the kind of person who's willing to walk
For filming in public lol,Karen was an absolute numbnut 😂
0:06 The confusion explaining to the AA that you've broken down in a Ford, in a Ford, In RufFord lol
I guess it is a rough Ford day. Badum ts.
Brilliant!!!
not to mention, after driving through a fjord ;)
I'm pretty sure AA knows exactly what has happened when someone on the line just starts stuttering on about "Ford ford ford ford"... 🤣
Hope he can afFord the repairs
You need a 30 second interview with each person afterwards to find out what on earth they were thinking...
They weren't
Because they're stupid lol
And give an extra award for the smartest answer
@Martin I'm thinking the same thing. Are there big signs with flashing lights warning people? If now how about you try to wave people down and warn them?
'Hey - 8 cars today have got stuck!'
@Martin that's how stupid works you ask them why did you do that and they say I don't know smh
@Martin it’s pretty obvious you don’t drive into deep water or a Ford crossing at full speed expecting to get through with no damage to your car or flooding the engine. If your that stupid, quite Frankly you shouldn’t be on the road driving a vehicle.
90% of these cars would have driven through that water at about 2 mph with no damage. This is insanity
True, when they stop and water level is only hub high.
Lol yes sirrrr !! 😂
reckon?
@@JETJOOBOY yep, there're videos of low passenger cars going very slow through this ford, water doesn't reach upper part of car's grill, where air intake is usually mounted.
Even the blue lifted jeep crossing hella fast got into troubles after crossing it
It still surprises me the sheer amount of people who think driving through deep water at full speed is a smart idea...
Living brain 🧠 donors who will always practice mental abstinence. If they had another brain 🧠 they would be lonesome!
Just driving through it in general is absolutely stupid lol
It’s the same with restarting yr engine after you’ve gotten water in the intake. It just cycles the water round more every attempt to restart it.
I also believe that the drivers think the people who are filming are waiting for a big splash so are actually making it worse.
@@willgates3840 No, those people are just showing off. And because of that, they destroyed the motor.
So in the end, they got what they deserved!
Extra points to the two drivers who managed to kill Land Rovers 👏👏
Indeed - those drivers had to be exceedingly thick to kill those 🤣🤣
Says a lot about the new land Rovers, plastic crap being rescued by an old Freelander.😁,my old 02 Disco has survived worse than that.
@@Andy-pf7me your dead right, sometimes an upgrade is actually a downgrade.
@@Andy-pf7me I think that old Freelander driver got too brave last week or so and had to be towed as well. If you watch back the last compilations you'll find it
They’re just not that hard to kill 😂
The image of the plumber's van getting wrecked by water. Priceless. 🤣
I'm astonished at the sheer stupidity here. Most of the SUV and van drives would've made it through this just fine if they had just taken it slow and not created a big bow wave!
Create the bow wave but don’t overtake it! I love to think of the white hot catalyst ceramics that shock cool and crack up to powder and blows out the exhaust. This is the exception that proves the Clarkson rule of motoring. Speed and power equals shame and expense! Perhaps they think they are innocently putting on a show for the camera and I suppose they are but not the one they imagined. Mostly insurance write offs.
@@robinwells8879 their problem was they went in full speed. You enter the water slowly and then build the bow wave so it stays ahead of the vehicle. All that white smoke after they come out of the water = write-off.
So frustrating that water won't compress. Lol. I know where my air intake is located so just need the water tobe below the bonnet. Take it steady and easy and no problems. If you go flying in without a snorkel you will do catastrophic engine damage.
JR I was thinking the same thing.
Or chosen another route 🤦🏻♂️
I'd like to think that the next time I approach a ford that I'm unfamiliar with, and see the locals standing there with cameras and a bucket of pop corn. I really hope that my first reaction isn't to floor it.
but to turn around :D
Haha
Correct. Don't be the source of their sadistic entertainment.
Yes, especially when a permanent sign says "Flooding, road closed". But Darwin Award on the other side looks so alluring, so within your grasp... 🏆🌊🚙 🤔
Look around and see if they've got a mini digger nearby or serious 4x4 kit...
It’s amazing how many people think their air intake is somehow magically above their hood
I can assure you 99 percent of these people have no idea what air intake is to even start thinking where it would be.
@@SoapMovie2300 well said. Sadly true. Half of the car owners these days have trouble grasping the concept of windscreen washer fluid refill. Makes me feel like a sad old fart who doesn't understand the world any more :)
Most people couldn't wear masks properly, they don't know they can breathe through their noses. This doesn't surprise me.
Society has made them utterly useless.
I believe that back in the days, people were mire concerned about their cars since it costs them.
Now it's all in the loan so, whatever.
Sad sad days
Mine's magic, waterproof and in my glove box! 🤔
You have to laugh when a brand new Range-Rover gives it the big-one and ends up being pulled out by a 20 year old Freelander
As an owner of a slightly elderly Freelander and Range Rover Classic these recoveries did put a smile on my face on a few occasions
That’s because modern RangeRovers are overpriced, overrated crap. Want a real 4x4 get a Toyota Landcruiser not some mummy Chelsea tractor. There’s a reason real off roaders and those Arabs in Dubai don’t drive RangeRovers. Their s#*t!
@@matty6848 I dearly love my old RRC but it's a big pain in the nuts for reliability overall, the Toyota is a much better vehicle for reliability but one thing that I have to say, when my Range Rover is working the actual driving experience itself is really nice. Mine is a Softdash Vogue SE with the 4.2 V8 and I've made a few mild changes to the engine just to liven it up and it really is nice (in between breakdowns 😆 🤣).
I've always been a bit curious about those Land Cruiser Amazons as they look to be their "laar-dee-dar" posh version. They seem to hold their money well though
@@restojon1 I used to work in Dubai a few years ago commissioning large industrial chiller systems for mainly hotels. And what I noticed is that most of the Arabs drove the Toyota Landcruisers. I asked them about RangeRovers and they said back in the day with the old Aluminium body proper LandRovers the 110’s etc they were real good real off road 4x4s, but the new luxury RangeRovers just cant stick the heat, parts literally melt the engines overheat they don’t rate them at all. Have you noticed how the U.N also use Landcruisers as well and these Middle East dictatorships and army’s always use them? Must be because they get the job done. I must admit RangeRovers do look lovely and they are very luxurious, but I think they’ve sacrificed the off road ability for the luxury…
Yes the air intakes on the range rover school taxi are on top of the wings, so he just sucked it down.
You can actually hear the con rods snapping on a few of these. Absolutely brilliant content.
Is that from trying to compress the water? Non mechanic here
@@tbrowniscool yes. Water gets sucked into the cylinder and doesn't compress. Rods tend to bend or snap.
@@tytzup5397 ouch would that be an expensive thing to repair on say a mid range golf/Astra etc? I'd imagine that the water damages other bits too!
@@tbrowniscool let's just say that the engine will have to be removed and either replaced or rebuilt. So it won't be cheap
Yes. my ex-wife did this. The engine hydraulically locked and it snapped all the main bearing bolts and fired the crankshaft straight through the sump.
Ooooh Blue Fiesta Lady is AAAAAANGRY!

I was a mechanic for many years I heard a few engines fail now after watching these videos my ear is trained to the exact moment the engine fails. It is a skill I never thought I would acquire I still think "Oh No" when I hear it.
Yeah, the sound of fcked big ends and engine pinking never leaves you. 😪
I'm assuming it's when the engine is making an unhealthy mechanical noise?
The oil slicks are also a bit of a clue that somethings amiss.
Being an Australian I've travelled through deserts, forest, beaches, and many rivers.. I would NEVER drive that fast straight into water! Even with a snorkel!
what does your nationality have to do with water?
@Jay Leno I wouldn't count on it, but it could be possible.
Actually here in Oz we invented a way to get across rivers without getting you car wet - we call it a bridge !
Yes the key words being "in the outback" on unsealed roads/tracks where you would be in a 4wd not a little hatchback.
Highly unlikely to find a sealed relatively high volume traffic road anywhere in Australia with a ford that destroys cars like this.
Oz has moved on from the horse and vary era.

Rufford, the gift that keeps on giving.
That Karen in the Fiesta! 😆
And the polo who fancied being a duck! 🤦♂️
Fun fact : most of those vehicles have destroyed or seriously damaged their engines. "Drying it out" isn't going to cut it.
Shut it off immediately change oil check compression otherwise majority of them are probably fine. Other than electronics
@@boxedfender4810 if the water has got into the piston chambers which it will have, the engine will be a right off as water does not compress and so it bends the piston rods and or bottom end.
@@boxedfender4810 You can change oil as much as you like but once water enters the cylinders its hydrolocked and because the car is still moving in gear the pistons can't go up so it snaps or bends your conrods and crankshaft, case in point that white Toyota at the end taping away with a broken rod.
Most diesel engines can shrug off some water getting into the cylinders, unless its filled to the point of hydrolocking
@@boxedfender4810 some will have allowed water to get in to the ECU, a replacement might cost a few grand

1:35 managing to ruin a range rover in just 1ft of water is impressive, that must take a special level of driving ineptitude.
1:24 - you can even hear the very moment the engine hydrolocked!

I’ll bet you’re lying awake at night worrying about the lunatic Fiesta driver coming to get you!
There's a Karen lurking everywhere
She never got us though 😂😂
to me the best is the polo actually driviing IN the river bed haha
That Polo is the best one yet 😂😂😂😂😂
Turn right... no straight on... too late!
Given this place has a proven track record of gobbling up a majority of what goes through it, I wouldn't be dumb enough to try this but if I did, I could live with making it through and my car conking out on the other side. It's getting stuck half way through that is the true day killer. Had to laugh at the Polo driver zooming down the actual stream thinking it was the road! 😂
Can we just take a minute to mourn that range rover drivers ego for being rescued by a Freelander. 😂🤣
Absolute Gold, albeit pitiful. The Range Rover should've taken that Ford with ease. Wrong people seem to own them. The ride height set to maximum and take it steady and ego wouldve been intact. The air intake is high enough for no issues, but drive too fast like a moron and you'll create a wave and that non compressible wetness will get in the wrong places and cause deathly havoc.
Amazing collection. Second best one is the driver who headed down the river instead of the road. Best one is the idiot who tried towing him out with great vengeance and furious anger.
Tantamount to criminal damage
He was probably annoyed that he was towing some idiot out of a river, who then managed to wedge their wheel against the kerb on the way out.
@@doctorsatansrobot Probably was, could have just not bothered towing the buffoon out at all, most wouldnt have
I its actally the overflow from the lake , and at the top about 6 ft depth
The mini digger pulling the barge out!😂😂😂😂😂
10 bob a piece, thats a good racket
Amazing that even the guy in LR Velar didn't bother to read 5min in user manual about his off-road capabilities (when he purchased the car) and how to drive through water. Sad to see such capable cars being driven by people who have no idea how to use them..and then wrecking it in water that any LR can drive through without any issue

We need a running total of the £££ worth of cars being trashed in these videos! Imagine the total including the ones not being captured in these vids! Great job with the compliations.
Anyone calculated the total cost of the damage is in this video? It’s got to be close to £400k !
I'm wondering if a bridge wouldn't be cheaper
@@pj23nl weld it up out of bent con rods 😂
I think someone needs to set up a car tow and repair workshop there. They'd make a fortune!
If you look worldwide, the UK has the least number of railway crossings. The council rather spend their money saving lives, than saving few totaled cars due to hydro locked engines. Cars can be replaced.
I don't think many of them actually hydrolocked, there's just too much water in the engine to start it. Drying the intake, cranking the engine with the spark plugs removed, and changing the oil to be safe should fix most of them up.
I liked the lady in the first blue car, she seemed nice.
Imagine having a local garage there.
You would make thousands in engine rebuilds!
You can’t rebuild hydra locked engines. They’re usually write offs. It’s more cost effective to replace the engine.
@@billybellend1155 as long as the block isn't cracked, its actually not that expensive to replace rods and pistons.
These german cars have crazy replacement cost for a long block from the factory. Its far cheaper to repair if the block isn't cracked

"OH NO! MY VELAR! IT'S BROKEN!"
BENGREGERS, a really damning insight into today’s society. You would rather spend your time filming people’s misfortune, than warning them or educating drivers to the perils ahead!!
I think these endless videos are doing plenty to educate people not to drive through it. There are already large ROAD CLOSED signs that they chose to ignore. What more warnings do they want?
Wow really wasn't expecting the range rover to get rekt like that.
I've got a Velar and it can go through deep water at any speed - what a tool.
EDIT - it seems that some don't recognise the rather obvious sarcasm. I don't have a Velar myself, I was imagining myself in the place of the Velar driver. Thought it was obvious but seems to be too subtle for some, when it really wasn't.
A tool is useful
The guy who towed the Velar out with the old Disco. Wasn't that him who got swamped in there a couple of weeks back?
The Velar, the entry level budget Range Rover for the 'Tool' that needs to keep up with & better the Jones's. It's the same price as a PHEV Toyota Rav4. So before you think it's premium, think again. I'd go with the Toyota and stay anonymous....

When you have that much money to spend, you don't care. It'll be someone else's problem in 3-5 years... it's a hire car after all. If you are struggling if facing the prospects of paying a four figure sum... then it's not just electronics, the water could easily get in the gearbox, past all the seals for bearings in suspension... list goes on.
