Semionova is truely amazing , what to speak of Bolle . This Prima Ballerina has , for me , the same "electric" presence one sees in Nureyev ... amazing .... feminine , yet powerfully masculne energy .... she is magnificent ..- ... on fire , really - fully in command , and she revels in it with great beauty .... a joy to watch ☺

Truly one of the best interpretations of Carmen I've ever seen.
So proud of Roberto Bolle, my star graduate school from La Scala -, ten a shy young man, but now one of the best male dancers worldwide. Bravissimo, Roberto
No other dancer, male or female has the capacity to move me the way Roberto does. His character, his technical skill, the physical attributes he posesses, make his language so easy to read. He only has to move to music and my heart takes a leap. By sheer force of presence he commands the whole stage. There is something in the elegance, the impeccable lines, that I dont need to understand, I just feel it in my deepest deep. Thank you for your part in producing such a world class Artist.

Hey, life can't be all bad when we can watch a superb performance of Roland Petit's Carmen Pas De Deux! As we say in Texas....DAYUM! LOL! Can't believe I had the great fortune to be invited to attend a summer of ballet with those professionals......Deny and Elisabetta and Deny Ganio and more. Wytek Lowski was my favorite. I carry the memories of that summer in 73' in my heart!

I think the last pas de deux had remained unbeaten since Alessandra Ferri's times. This performance topped that! BTW, thanks to Roland Petit for adding all those rélevés to the male dancer when he has the whole weight of the female dancer on a single shoulder! Poor guys!

Roberto è perfetto, meraviglioso, ogni suo minimo gesto è studiato al millesimo di secondo, ma questa coreografia è scadente, non lo valorizza. Peccato, da Carmen di Bizet si poteva tirare fuori un balletto molto ma molto più bello ed articolato
manfredfinch perfetto da sembrare un pezzo di ghiaccio con un corpo troppo muscoloso per un danzatore. guardati sergei polunin che meraviglia veramente ti trasmette arte e carisma.

Carmen era una trabajadora de una fabrica de tabaco en Sevilla. Independiente, libre, bella y original. De ella hicieron una mujer solamente libre en amor. Ella participaba en actos a favor de las mujeres trabajadoras. Y ni Prosper Merimé ni Buzzet no lo reflejaron en sus obras. En esta presentacion Carmen está vestida en ropa interrior, para el colmo, vamos, por Dios.

thank you for this. I've just noticed that he doesn't make one of his double tours. Never noticed that before.
Sssssssssssh!! :) I noticed on the night, but you are the first that has mentioned it. :) I think those of us that follow Roberto will know that this was a particularly difficult performance for him, for reasons totally unconnected with dancing, but suffice it to say that I am surprised he got through it as well as he did. I think in the circumstances he can be forgiven for on DT that didnt quite come off.
Wow thanks for the inside info! (When I said he didn't make one of his DTs I actually meant he didn't make any of them - but as you say we all have our challenging times.
