Recently, we introduced you to our new 1965 Mustang Coupe. Our plan for this car is to keep it very original, and upgrade some parts to make it safer and more fun to drive. So far, we've upgraded the leaf springs, and replaced the wheels and tires. One area of this car that needs a lot of work is the brakes. So today, we're going to show you how to install this power brake conversion kit.

Can you start filming brake videos for manual 289's? Automatics are cool but those of us with Mustangs need to know too.

Ive seen this kit from other vendors and instructions say the pedal rod needs to mounted 1” below the original location on the pedal assembly. I see it wasnt done here. Is it required? What does moving 1” down do?

They did (170 CID in 1964 and 200 CID afterwards). Ford discontinued the I6 during the 1970's only to reintroduce it with the Fox body models in 1979 due to a shortage of V6 engines.

Great video as always Bill. Question, what do you recommend for a front disk brake conversion for a 66' Mustang with a manual transmission. I have the OEM style single bowl now, four corner drum and the car was originally an automatic.

There is no dual bowl power conversion that will clear the original three speed linkage. There is a single bowl version only.
