Tim’s confidence is admirable and I am sure if he had tasted this one before he would have picked it… I found myself shouting at the screen “Elements of Islay Sherry Cask!” - You guys should pop into Whisky Galore once a week. Whenever new expressions like this come in they have a bottle open to taste. I think this one was also at DramFest earlier this year?
Ah, good info. I guess I have a tendency to see an brand named Islay bottling and assumed it's a malt blend. Given it's a single though... that might be an excuse for a bit of taste test to speculate on it's origin.
@TheSingleMaltReview I think the safe bet is Caol Ila, given the owners Hunter Laing also own the new Ardnahoe distillery just up the road. But some say Lagavulin. The Batch Strength version is well worth the money. And also Finlaggens are a Single Malt too.
I tune in for the mental anguish 😂
I guest it too, having seen the bottle around, but not tasted it. Well played! Long live the streakers!
"Long live the streakers!"? Be careful what you wish for. Some sights may be difficult to forget.
You've just given me an idea for a Naked Grouse re-review.

It is fun to watch you. Full Stop. And I do find streaks exciting.
But: Scarabus is not a blend. It is just a very good value option of a single malt.
Nice work again. Just so you know, the Scarabus range is a Single Malt, not a blend.

The most compelling sporting events have a tie score late in the game, so we can conclude that peak content means a good mix of Ws and Ls. 😉
