      Zachery Metz I need load range E tires and I like something that’s more of an all terrain but still does well on the highway with little noise. I really like the Falken Wildleak AT3w tires

    Primarily, where do you operate?
    And are you able to often find loads returning to your origin?
    Do you charge the customer for your deadhead miles?
    Thanks!

      I’m no longer doing hotshot, but primarily I liked to run north to south from the midwestern region down to Texas or Florida and anywhere in between. However I have gone all over from California to Pennsylvania. Never went north east of PA though. Yes, when I provided quotes I factored in what it would take to get to the load. I went wherever the loads took me but since I was within 45 minutes of a capital city I could often find loads going in the general direction of home without much issue. I used uShip but it’s best to be fully legal and gain access to the big loadboards like TruckStop.com and CentralDispatch for better paying full commercial loads.

      Tyler Draper Dual XDVD267BT I think it is, it’s $99 at Walmart and can play DVDs when parked. The back up cam is also made by Dual and sold at some Walmart locations.

    how much are you getting per mile for your loads?

    • @lawnboy81SMS
      @lawnboy81SMS  Před 4 lety

      Michael Durkan It varies based off what the customer is willing to pay. Generally I try my best to stay at $1.25/mile or more but it can be tricky sometimes

      Wow, you responded quickly! I'm still watching the video! Do you get your loads from Load boards? I'm thinking about starting up and wondering the startup costs.

      Michael Durkan Sorry, CZcams didn’t tell me you responded. I currently go through uShip.com until I can my DOT# that the other load boards require. I’ve heard the truck stop load board is a really good one to use though once you get a DOT#! I started with what I had, a 2002 Suburban and the homemade single car trailer, but didn’t start the series till after I bought my truck
