I liked that they brought Emma back one more time as a ghost, to talk with Dexter, and for him to finally move on with his life.
she’s not a ghost. he’s just telling himself what he needs to do, but hears it in her voice. he’s imagining it all.
Ghost? That's real Emma! She's not dead, the story's not over yet. Dex is just schizophrenic and imagines stuff. Emma never died. She NEVER DIED!
She's managing Dex's cafe, with two kids at home, while Dex is recovering.
I'm sorry if none of this makes sense. Am just yet another jilted, jolted viewer of this One Day series
In my mind she never died. Life sucks enough for this to be the way her story ended, she deserved far more. 😒

@@thudeshreenaidoo3330same. I finished watching it and I felt really vulnerable. I didn't know how to put it into words. I kept constantly thinking about it for days. Ive never felt that over any season, film etc. I guess what you say is right (the music in this was just perfect.)especially 'in cold light' at the end.

If this story teaches us anything, it’s if you love someone….for god sakes tell them. Even if it ultimately ends in rejection, let them know & dont learn the hard way.
And what happens when everything goes right but they are still taken from you, how do you deal with that?

It’s so very natural. This is the blueprint to casting romantic leads - they really need to have chemistry - not choose who is hotter but who has CHEMISTRY. The casting team did amazing here.

"why wouldnt it? whats going to change it?" the way that dex truly believed that this pain he's feeling would last forever and oh god the devastation on his face. i cry everytime i think about his loss i cant imagine his pain 💔

@@luchahn8430 i agree. I know this pain will stick with him forever but he'll learn to live with it. I think the things she's saying aren't necessarily true, but it's probably what he wants/needs to hear from an imaginary her.
Ambika is an incredible actress! Loved her performance. She made brought feeling to every bit of her character
what devastates me is the scene prior when Dex takes a sharp intake of breath as Sylvie commends him on how far he's come on in a year. He no longer wearing his wedding ring may give the illusion to his friends/family that he's doing okay, but we, the audience, know that's not the case as we see in this scene that Dex's coping/surviving is by drinking heavily still and regularly talking to Emma's spirit in this way. Heartbreaking 💔😥
I didn't though this remake could made me cry as much as the movie did but oh boy, i cried during the whole final episode, the acting from both lead actors was so good, heartbreaking but at the same time is so beautiful
I cannot explain how great this show was, the last few episodes had me in tears and rewatching this scene had me in tears all over again.

this scene is a packed gem, how it slowly and subtly breaks your heart yet warms it at the same time.... ? him LEANING on the steady soothing presence she has always been for him... the tears silently flowing down, from the void inside, grief in a nutshell

It's not always the case that both the leads in a drama act their socks off but in this case they r both incredible !

July 15th was Emma's death. St. Swithin's Day.
"If it rains today, it's gonna rain all summer." Dexter said.
That might not be true but in Dex's world, it was a long and agonizing storm.
@raphtalia3391-Even more heartbreaking is that the date July 15th has a double meaning for the story, cause Emma died on the anniversary of the day they met💔😭.
I wasn’t expecting this ending. 😢 I really thought Emma was like that friend who is always there for you. She was very likable so to know she dies is heartbreaking. A loss like that will last a lifetime. 💔
the last two episodes were just heart wrenching to watch 😭

Wie kann denn so etwas passieren? Wie kann man so eine unfassbare Serie schaffen? ❤️Leo und ❤️Ambika, ist euch klar, was ihr mir angetan habt? ihr habt mich ruiniert. Wie könnte man solche Emotionen in einer Rolle zeigen? ihr seid die Beste!

it's been a month and it still hasn't passed.. probably because Emma looks a lot like my girlfriend and shares alot of character traits which became more apparent as we watched it together .. I was crying bolders in that last scene as I imagined how it would feel losing her.. and it played on my mind a lot does still to this day.. as we're currently doing long distance (like continentally) and we always think we have the rest of our lives together but life is fragile and none of us now when our deathdate is ykwim?? idk I'm gonna stop yapping now
Just hang in there I went through the same with my girlfriend but we would call each other every day and FaceTime that’s all we could do really and visit now we are living together and It’s amazing as long as you appreciate her and show her you love her you will be fine.
This was so good yet so sad.
