I always explained to the kids that striking the ball has to do with a locked striking leg AND this is what is overlooked, the plant leg needs to also be firm and locked so the entire stike force energy comes from the plant foot up the leg to the stomach around to the strike leg. It is like an elastic band releasing opon the ball. Of course everthing I said happens all within a millisecond which is where practice comes into it.
How to strengthen your plant foot?
Stand on tour plant foot and raise your kicking leg.
Begin to do calisthenics with your plant foot stuck to the ground. Do all sorts of motions with other leg. Out front out to side, windmill motion, out behind, all the while keep your plant foot planted. Raise your kick leg to stomach like 10 to 20 times. Jerk your leg so you begin to hop on the plant foot. Maintain your balance with your plant foot/leg. This will strengthen your ankle tendons and knee tendons and muscles and your hip tendons etc and all your core muscles. Do this in increasing intervals. Balance is footballs most important attribute. You need balance for everything first before other needs.
Increase loads and try to increase balance difficulty. Build your plant foot and your shooting will improve tremendously. There you go. That was a secret I am sharing to the world.

Locking the ankle is so important. I hurt my ankle by hitting the ball and let my foot flex all the way back. Instead of the foot hitting the ball with power, the ball would push my foot back and some of the power would be lost. And the over plantar flexion caused a tear.

I've ALWAYS been able to shoot goood but the ball would always go slow enough for the keeper to catch it. I hope this helps thanks
same, sometimes i be getting the most perfect curve but it just doesnt go fast enough

Idk how but my shot power was increased soo much a day after watching this video cause I did the exercises that were said in the video maybe that was it or I just got better at my technique
I learn this years to play with my work league and im doing all those exercise because my shot was lame now after 3 month of constant training i can kick the ball not perfect yet but getting there. I shoot with less effort for a more precise and faster shot 😀..

Whenever I try to shoot with boots on, my boots always collide with the ground too often, reducing the Power in my shoot. Also, it always curves the ball. Whenever I play barefoot no what how bad my form is I can always shoot properly
Same with me tbh bro but try getting gain the edge grip socks so it prevents your feet from slipping around in your boot
Just focus on not hitting the ground for a while so you are used to it
you might not see this comment but try working on kicking the ball with side foot so you can then have mucle memery on how far down to put your foot then do lasis power shot but do it slow and try and turn everything you learnt from side foot into lasis power foot hope you see this and i hope it inproves your shooting

Agreed with the person above, but as someone whose shin splints turned into small stress fractures, dont ignore the pain in your legs. It sucks, but if you need to take a few months off to heal properly, do so.
