    4" or larger holes seems possible with this technique for ceramic tile. What is your recommendations for smaller holes and natural stones?

    • @diyday21
      @diyday21  Před 4 lety

      Zap Shocking thanks for watching! For small holes ( e.g. for shower pipes) I used to cut a square hole ( less than 2” ). The metal plate will cover the square hole. Soon, I will upload a video “How to cut a square hole for shower pipes”. If you want to Subscribe and tap the notification bell you will be notified to see how I used to cut a small hole. Thanks again! For natural stones should be the same procedure, depend on the thickness of the stone.

      @brianreinhardt4050 Před 4 lety +1

      Uh...not a pro. What you showed people to do is more of a "pro" move than my idea. Anyone can pop a holesaw into a drill press and push a button. What you did takes skill and years of use on a grinder. So maybe the "professional" is you...

    I take it that this was a demonstration of how to cut a circular hole in a tile. It seems to me that the hole was too big for the drain he was intending to fit. This is evidenced by the back nut on the underside!

      How do you crack a tile using this technique ?
      There are diamond drum grinding bits for a drill if you can’t figure this way out.

    • @rickroll9086
      @rickroll9086 Před 4 lety +1

      BTW, to reduce cracking, put the tile in a piece of foam insulation, kerdi board or even wood ; cut circle out while on a solid backer board. You only need to put on the bucket for the final grinding of the inside circle.
