    So basically take 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar after last meal and in the morning and take potassium if you start getting leg cramps. BMI down, hips down weight down and triglycerides. FYI go to the end of the video if your crunched for time and don’t want to listen to the long explanation.

Im already so amazed at myself and feel that I AM going to be able to do this!!! Its just so difficult when family in the house is munchin chocolate and pasta and pancakes lol...       This may sound strange, but when I'm doing an extended fast like that, I find the aroma of cooking (for others) helps my food cravings go away. It also helps to be busy with an engaging project. And napping! You've already come so far, which is awesome!! Hang 8n there 😁

    I know apple cider works because I've done this before a doctor's visit. Seriously, I will keep apple cider vinegar in my healthy lifestyle regimen. Before bed, I prepare my apple cider vinegar as a warm tea. 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar(Fairchild-brand), the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon. Added 8-10oz of hot water. Because of the acidity, I drink it through a straw. Belly fat reduction and bowel movements (complete elimination) are noticeable the next morning.

      make sure you're not brushing teeth within 30 minutes of finishing that drink. All that acid softens tooth enamel.

    I use cinnamon, half a teaspoon of sea salt, 1/2 lemon juice with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar over ice with mint leaf. It’s very refreshing and I no longer have leg cramps at night because of the salt. I have lost 25 and kept it off since the pandemic started. 😊

      I never understood how people used cinnamon in any liquid drink since it doesn’t mix in. I put a cinnamon stick in water in my fridge and use hot cinnamon water & raw, unfiltered honey, fresh lemon juice, ACV, a pinch of Baha Gold salt, mint and sometimes add turmeric.

    Dr. Mindy I just found you a few weeks ago. And Ive lost 15 pounds in 12 days. (My body is fuffy and full of water!) The truth can be heard in your voice, I trusted all your words. So... I'm very overweight. hypothyroid, multiple myeloma, 3 stem cells transplants, cardiac amyloidosis. Ok boring! The fun stuff ---- Started IF, lost weight, but no ketones. Day ten, I finally did two 24 hour fast, and everything changed. Now Im working with IF/KETO, I like it alot. My question is; how do I avoid losing muscle mass (protein to fat ratio) ?---- I FEEL WONDERFUL. I have HOPE!! I did it MYSELF, and Im really want to live.     I mix 2 tablespoons of ACV with 2 tablespoons of lime/lemon juice In carbonated water before bedtime to prevent acid reflux. I use Kal Pure Stevia drops (or lactulose if constipated) as a sweetener. Tastes like Sprite with attitude. Polar water makes sugar free, artificial sweetener free flavoured waters that really add variety to the mix.

    I'm just starting my 3rd week of using ACV, cayenne, and lemon. I'm also doing daily 16° intermittent fasting. I've lost 1 pound and my gut doesn't look 7 months pregnant anymore. No change in A1c still 6.2. I can't wait to see continued results! Also my sugar cravings are dimishing and I'm not hungry like i was before 😊

    Dear Dr Mindy,
    I purchased both your audiobook and book two weeks ago. I'm currently in the perimenopause stage and have been struggling with an extra 30 pounds. I've been consuming all your CZcams videos and following your directions perfectly, but I was feeling very discouraged because I wasn't losing any weight.
    Then, I discovered your video about opening the pathways. I started implementing two tablespoons of vinegar in one liter of water in the afternoon and prolonged my fasting to 18-19 hours. Today, I finally saw the scale go down by five pounds!
    I know I have a lot to correct, and I recognize the damage from my bad habits. I'm currently dealing with inflammation, but I am taking it one day at a time and embracing everything you're teaching on your CZcams videos.
    I want to thank you very much for everything you're doing for this community of women. Your job, encouragement, and knowledge are incredibly valuable. I pray to God that He continues to give you knowledge and bless your projects.

    I’m adding a teaspoon of honey to glass of water and 2 or 3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and drinking it around one hour before bed, or whenever I want it’s delicious and my digestion has never been better. I also use it in salad dressings. It’s delicious, don’t know why people don’t like it 😊

    I drink ACV in every 28/30 ounce water I drink at least three of these daily. I have been doing this for a year or more. I had really bad toe fungus. Both of my big toes were really bad for years. Then one day my husband noticed that both of my big toes had completely cleared up and the toe fungus has not come back. 😊

    🇨🇦 I was in Saskachewan,Canada, staying with my mom and sister. I found and bought kefir grains. A total of 5 hours of driving time, in the winter! Was it worth it?? Heck yes! Still making it over a year and a half later.
    I have always used apple cider. I like it in warm water with ginger in the summer. In the winter I will add cayenne pepper because it is so cold. I never sweeten it.

    For a more palatable experience, use cold water and ice in a large glass ( more than 8 ounces) with a tablespoon of ACV. It took me a long while to get to a tablespoon of ACV though. I started with a teaspoon in an eight ounce glass of water. Now, I like the flavor of ACV. Again, it took approximately a year.

    I love this video! My dad made my sister and I take both apple cider vinegar and cod liver oil as children. Then he told me to have it (2 Tablespoons) a day while I was pregnant (for smart babies😂)... back then I had it with a teaspoon of honey. I dont include the honey now. I use cinnamon, cayenne or ginger with it. Recently I saw Dr Berg recommend Fairchilds due to not being diluted so I ordered 2 from Amazon...its not bad at all and I have come to prefer that brand. I grew up on Brags though.
    In a focused effort to get seed oils out of my diet we are making EVERY thing from scratch so have been using the vinegar a lot for dips and dressings.
    This video made me think of my dad❤! He's been gone for 20 years this year.❤❤

    I mix water with 1 tbsp apple cyber vinegar with 1/4 teaspoon of each:kayenne pepper,black peper,ginger,tumeric plus some drops of lime every morning and in the afternoon I mix water with 1 tbsp apple cyber vinegar with cinnamon.Both in the fasting window,I have 1 meal a day around 16.00
    Sometimes I have water with 1 tbsp apple cyber vinegar after the meal also, if it is full of carbohydrates, and has something sweet at the end

    I´m upgrading ACV with herbs while the summer: bottle full of nasturtium flowers, sage leaves ....leave them in for some weeks - and add the geat effects (antibiotic, anti-inflammation) for my immunsystem..... tastes great in my daily drink! I started to produce my own Oxymel (ACV, Honey and herbs fom my garden) - this helps me through the winter - I had no flue or cold (or the modern virus) since many years and for me there´s defenitly a connection between the use of ACV and health!     1bs of apple cider vinegar with the mother, 1/8 cup orange juice 1/8th cup water and 1/8th cup sparkling water. It tasted way better than it being just plain. The liquid may have been less.basically just splashed all ingredients together.

    I have been doing intermittent fasting and low carb for about two years and have lost 40 pounds in the first six months and kept it off. I feel great I lost 10 inches in my waist as well. All my numbers, A1c, cholesterol, etc. are normal now. My A1c is not quite that low… a new goal. I’ve used Apple cider vinegar before or after a Carbridge dinner. But with this explanation, I think I will be drinking it during my fast routinely. I don’t need to lose more weight just maintain it but more importantly, I’d like to improve my brain function. I m 61 and worry. About my brain fog.

    I'm a dawn phenomenon girl. My sugar is never below 105 in the morning. I tried apple cider vinegar before bed and it's still 105 this morning. 😄 The only way I have found to have lower morning blood sugar is to have a Tbsp of peanut butter before bed. ACV is absolutely disgusting in plain water. I thought I might be sick choking it down last night. 😂 I love it in Yogi brand Roasted Dandelion Spice tea with a little sweetener. To me it tastes like regular apple cider and not vinegar. 😊

    I love these videos. They are very informative. I’m not sure why the camera angle keeps switching. Sometimes you see that on talk shows too. What the point of watching from an angle where the person is looking at a different camera? Just film from the one camera she is looking at. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I premix a combo of half ACV & half really strong hibiscus tea and stevia. 2-4 tablespoons in a glass of Pelligrino tastes fantastic!

      Pellegrino has graphene oxide in it, as per scientific separation test. Best to get a carbonated spring or natural spring fizzy water.

    I’ve done 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar with 2 tablespoons raw honey and a squeeze lemon and a big glass of tea. I can still detect the apple cider vinegar but it makes it doable.

    Hi Doc, I've just discovered your videos and am enjoying the great content. I recently started learning and experimenting with keto and IF. The pee sticks say I'm making great ketones. After experiencing weakness, fatigue and heart pounding, I realized I needed to supplement electrolytes. For sodium, I have sea salt crystals I let dissolve in my mouth. I make an electrolyte drink consisting of filtered water, potassium gluconate, magnesium citrate, Concentrace trace minerals and some raw cider vinegar for the sour. I had the vinegar so adding it was an accidental recipe ingredient. I've been learning it has some great benefits. Who knew?
    On another subject, my particular physiology runs a high basal cortisol and way over produces cortisol in response to stressors, almost a mild Cushing's. To add insult to injury, this particular physiology does not clean up cortisol efficiently, so it builds up in our systems. The high cortisol interferes with the conversion of T4 to T3 causing a secondary type of subclinical hypothyroidism. In addition to that, high cortisol raises glucose and insulin which locks fat in storage, so it won't budge. I have been reluctant to give up coffee but I'm afraid I must. I'm post-menopausal and about 250 pounds. So, to make things even worse, my age, excess weight and pain from arthritis increase cortisol. I have ordered some ayurvedic herbs and already have a couple of supplements that which can help to reduce cortisol. Exercise will help once I get my muscles using ketones for fuel. I ordered Jason Fung's 'Obesity Code'. I understand he has some recommendations on how to reduce cortisol. I don't know if you have any resources specifically directed at that.

    Use teaspoons not table spoons if you are drinking it.
    Tablespoons are used for cooking not drinking.

    Banana reduces polyphenols in other foods if they are taken together. So eat banana atleast 3 hours away from polyphenol-rich foods like blue berries. I know. We've been drinking blueberry banana smoothies for the longest time.

      @@onubia7224 He's not a Doctor of Allopathic Medicine, but of Chiropractic. However, the things Dr. Mindy Pelz talks about are generally not championed by most Doctors of allopathic medicine. Chiropractors and other functional medicine practitioners can be very well versed in functional and holistic medicine....you know, the things that most Doctors dismiss because they're not educated in such things and just want to prescribe pharmaceuticals instead. I say this as a Doctor of Pharmacy. I don't think it's fair to disrespect Dr. Berg as he is a knowledgeable person. There are functional medicine MDs, such as Dr. David Brownstein (M.D.) who learned from and trained under Chiropractors.

    I love to use an ACV that has organic ginger/turmeric in it. I add Celtic sea salt for the diverse, highly absorbable magnesium’s, and then I admit, I like to add a bit of monk sugar… all in a base of clean H2O.

I completed my first 48-hour fast a few days ago coupled with a low-carb diet during the first 10 days of my cycle and tah dam, first time ever I didn’t have my acne worsening around ovulation.     In 2022, my haemoglobin dropped as low as 5; needless to say I was admitted to hospital and put on a stretcher. I stayed overnight and received 3 bags of blood! I am telling you this, because I don’t know how to balance between curbing my appetite while staying well nourished. I currently keep gaining weight despite walking and weight lifting. So I do plan to lose weight but very scared of taking something to lose my appetite because I only eat 2 meals and sometimes 1, a day. How do I get over this dilemma?

    Re: "why so many people are crazy about fasting outside of weight loss...Anti-aging..." great, could Dr. Mindy talk or refer to videos for fasting and anti-inflammation? I wish it was mentioned more or discussed more often in these videos. Everything is weight loss, aging, hormones/menopause and all important! However, As someone with 30 years of RA, it would be so appreciated to hear more on reduction of inflammation.
    I'm managing it well, but always looking to learn more and trying to find the kernels of this in all the videos.

      As much as possible, get off sugar and processed foods, and eat organic. As Dr Mindy says, fasting, esp. longer fas5s, really change your food cravings, which will help you get off sugar etc. You might also like to try a product called Carnivora, extract of the Venus Fly Trap plant. I had incredible results in my knee pain after just one capsule. It's supposed to be antiinflammatory and an immune booster. Check it out.

    I do an electrolyte drink with Acv, lemon juice, sea salt and stevia. It settles my stomach and lessens the cravings. Fantastic after a work out on a hot day too. 😊

    i mix one or two tablespoons of ACV with the freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon and a few turns of the himalayan rock salt grinder. Down it in one and then sometimes follow up with a swig of nice cold water.

    I have two questions
    1. Brushing your teeth takes you out of the fasting???
    2. Taking vitamines or supplements in capsules like vitamine D, C, B, zinc magnesium, collagen, or something like NAD, ashwagandha, ginkgo biloba, lions mane etc would take you out of fasting if taking during fasting hours.
    I fast on a regular basis between 17 and 18 hours have two meals a day one small and dinner. Brake my fast with kefir or apple cider vinegar or but I want to have more vitamines and supplements but I feel I have not enough time during the not fasting period.

    Take the A.C. V. half hour before meals and late evening mix with bottled water only never tap water which has endless chemicals. Check your stainless steel kettle if you use tap water the inside turns a dirty muddy colour bottled water leaves it crystal clear.

    Dear Dr. Mindy, my dentist scolded me when I told him I have been drinking ACV. He mentioned no matter how much you dilute it's still really bad for the enamel. I switched to drinking it with a straw, but I'm still worried. Any tips?

    Tried it, lost about 10 pounds in a few months. Ended up in the ER with terrible abdominal pain. I had gastritis and duodenitis. Doctor gave me a stern talking to! No more ACV for me😥

      How did you take it? My spouse also had the same problem--thing was he was taking it straight. And like you, Dr said no more. You need to dilute it--severely if you have gastritis. After healing, he now can take it in salad dressings or like 1 TBl per glass of water. Don't give up on it yet. Sometimes health experts forget to tell people to dilute it--it's VERY strong.

      @@zainabs.6689…yes ma’am I did dilute it and drank it through a straw. I think my problems was it’s all I drank, all day everyday. Not related, but I developed colitis, ileitis, diverticulitis and had to have my sigmoid colon removed. I’m just so very cautious about what I eat and drink. I’m finding The Mediterranean Diet is working well! Thanks for the mention!
