So glad you made a video about this.
This weekend my buddy and I finally paired up and I ran into 1 little thing that actually bothered me when speaking trough the intercom.
Me and my buddy both seem to be heavy breathers because the intercom was open 9/10 even when we were not speaking.
Not a huge problem but the fact that my music gets dampened when you start to 'speak' was quit annoying. Is there a way to make the mic less sensitive to heavy breathing? I considered putting my VOX on low but this didn't make sense after overthinking it. VOX only controls the voice commands right?
My ACG is already set to high so my sound increases fairly quick.

Hi! Nice videos you have done! Me and my friend just got our packtalk and we have no experince about intercoms so we don't know what to expect. But we experience that the mic is loose and makes odd noise, like some kinda ailien is trying to talk to us. Im using the bom-mic and it is from my point of view attached properly, do you have any idea of why it sounds loose. And when we walked outside with the helmets we lost connection 50 feet away from each other... Do you have any explaination? :) / Emil

Question on connecting the packtalk bold to ktm my ride, according to ktm the way you connect it is by connecting phone to bike then headset to bike, this works fine since it has turn by turn navigation and music but the music playback is slow, if i connect the phone to the packtalk it works fine but then i can’t use the tft features on my 1290 adventure 2017 with ktm my ride, also I had a sena 20S before and this worked great, I was able to listen and change the songs fine using the bike controls, any advise? I emailed cardo but so far they have not been able to help me with the issue. I do have the latest software on the cardo.

MasmotoRR Sounds like you’re pairing everything correctly (phone to KTM, then KTM to headset) but the slow music thing has me kinda stumped 🤔. Sorry for the stupid question, but have you tried erasing/re-pairing to the Packtalk to the KTM to see if it resolves that for you??? Curious to know how it works out!

Hey there, couple things: when you pair the Packtalk to the 30K the range will indeed be pretty short. Such is the case anytime you are pairing one brand to a different brand, unfortunately. BUT, the volume thing shouldn't be happening. On your Packtalk, make sure the mic is DIRECTLY in front of your mouth. They are super directional, which is a good thing, but if it's not positioned well you will sound very low to everyone else. If using the boom mic, make sure the little Yellow Triangle is facing towards your mouth...super important. Also, if still an issue, I'd go into the Cardo Connect App and adjust the Mic Sensitivity. You can find that in the Settings area of the App when connected to your Packtalk. Hope that helps!
