Guantanamo Bay is a U.S. naval base and detention facility located in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The facility has been in use since the early 20th century, but gained international attention in the early 21st century as a detention center for individuals suspected of terrorism.
The base was first established in 1898, during the Spanish-American War, and has been continuously operated by the U.S. military since then. In 2002, the U.S. government began using the facility as a detention center for individuals captured in the War on Terror, primarily those captured in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The detention of individuals at Guantanamo Bay was controversial from the beginning, with critics arguing that the prisoners were being held indefinitely without trial and subjected to inhumane treatment. The U.S. government argued that the detainees were enemy combatants and not subject to the same legal protections as prisoners of war.

I have listened to many stories told by those who were inside Guantanamo .. and they assert that most of the detainees are innocent... When the United States attacked Afghanistan, the American army was unable to reach al-Qaeda members.. So it offered $5,000 to each person who reported on an Arab man. Unfortunately, some Afghans kidnapped Arabs from their homes and handed them over to the American army.
Most of the Arab detainees in Guantanamo have been kidnapped and have nothing to do with terrorism or fighting...
When I listened to their stories.. I really cried a lot.. There are those who spent 14 years in Guantanamo Bay without any reason or trial.. His only fault was that he was an Arab living in Afghanistan or Pakistan.. And there are those who are present to this day in the prison, even though they were was acquitted by the US military court since 2014...
No sir, Afghanistan is the place for only afghans, what Arabs should do in Afghanistan at that times? Clearly, they were AlQaida and Taliban terrorists groups members.
