Hang in there Chrissy. God is gonna blow your mind! I’ve been holding my hope for a great husband too. I need the companionship but I’m not willing to settle. I settled and married the mediocre man in my twenties and was divorced in my 30s. Next year I’ll be 50 and I cried out to the Lord that I don’t want to do life alone. Friends and family cannot fill in the gap for my desire to have a husband. Not for me anyway. I asked God to take away my desire for a husband but he hasn’t and I truly believe He’s going to bless women like you and me with amazing men soon. I forgot how old you are exactly, but, I am so so so glad that you have the mindframe that you have when it comes to these “men”. You don’t settle, you know your worth, you believe in someone who protects and provides, you believe in being pampered and treated like the queen that you are. I went all the way back and hadn’t even fully figured out who I am. Take this time to get to know you. Love up on you. Figure out who Chrissy really is because you will change. Lol in just about every decade, you find out something new about yourself. I completely understood your night ride voice over. There was this post the other day on the shade room that asked when you were younger what age did you imagine yourself being married. Truthfully my answer was 25. But when I turned 25 there was so much more I wanted to accomplish before marriage and children. I then changed it to. 30. I am now 32 and still don’t even have a potential partner and I’m feeling how you feel more now than ever, because I feel I’m ready and my biological clock is ticking. But I want to do things the right way . Not just be a baby mom? No offense to anyone who is a baby mom. But I’m staying prayed up that God will bless me one day soon.

You're absolutely right with your analysis of the show and the lack of representation on there in size and background. Its the same conversation that the black/ethnic community have over here every season 😒🙄 lol. We are watching season 8 atm and you'll see they tried a TINY bit to fix the representation issue. BUT... again You're right we have the same issues here imo, with blk men and their "preferences" (not all of course- but in the UK we make up such a small % of the entire population it's going to feel pronounced). Yeah you're right about Love Island. It's the same in the UK, a lot of British black guys favour the white girls and then if you get a white guy who typically hangs out with black guys, he wants the black girl 😂 The new season of LI has better black representation though, but still no Asians and deffo no plus size!
