Montech is really getting better and better, bringing new ideas to the table. Can't wait to see what's next!
Making better and better copies...
@@taomahNEGEVwho cares?
CZcams channels are just copies of each other. We all still watch and subbed to each one of them.
All year Ive been planning on geeting me an o11 case until I stumbled upon this case the King 95Pro and just knew I had to watch you doing a review of it. This is the perfect kind of different Ive been looking for. Always like your reviews and how unbiased you are. Keep doing what you're doing 👍👌
I moved my primary Windows PC to the Black version of the King 95 pro a couple of weeks ago. I'm very happy with it. I added a 360mm AIO to it and my 5800x3D and 7900XT run very cool. I think the extra 3 fans and radiator help a lot with cooling . Cpu and Gpu temps are 65-70 C on heavens benchmark. You will need a RPG splitter cable to light 3 more fans. The controller only has enough headers for the RGB on 2 more fans but enough to power 3 more. Thanks for the video
I got one and I absolutely love it! It's the best case that I have ever had, I previously had that Lian Li O11 by DerBauer but when I saw the King 95 Pro in Red I had to switch to it since I have it paired with a PowerColor Red Devil 7800xt which bleeds red. I highly recommend it and it was the easiest cases to build in! if you want a unique case that looks amazing then definitely give it a high look!
I got the Black pro the day they launched. I just like the way the black makes any color RGB Pop. It's a damn sexy case for sure.
Will be my next Case Build, Very impressed indeed with this product, and very good pricing.
That purple blue transition would open my wallet instantly. That is a great idea, so tired of only white and black!
Yup, when i did some mock ups with HUE v HUE in the edit, it really made me want more gradients in the case space. PLS!
-D.
I got one and I did a transfer of the guts from my Thermal Take H120, replaced the 120mm fans with 140mm added two 140mm fans in the top. The temps are low to mid 30c Intel i5 12400, rtx3060. Very happy, I did this to get the dual chamber.
That pro is perfect for an aio build. The non pro is perfect for custom loop. What a beast of spec choise. 👏👏
Let alone the great case. Huge props to montech.
Great look-see, Dmitri, thank you. 👍🙂🙏🏻
I've had my eye on Montech for awhile now. I think they've been doing some really cool things with their case designs and they're getting better all the time. The King 95 is a true beauty and I plan to buy one. (If they don't sell out before I can get my hands on one, that is. I like the black PRO model.)
P/S: I just found the black 'Pro' model at NewEgg for $149 and snatched that Bad Boy up!
I got _moinz!_ 🤗
Thanks again for doing this review! Otherwise I wouldn't even have known that the King 95 was available yet. 👍
You guys rock. 🏆
P/P/S: (Oh, and by the way) I think your car broke that curved glass panel because (even with the mat beneath it) it looked to me like the glass was situated on a somewhat *uneven* surface, which I'm sure resulted in the panel's overall weight distribution being uneven as well. (If you re-run the footage provided by Montech, it's really easy to see how smooth and flat their 'demo' surface was).
I'm no expert in physics or mechanics, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. 😁
Started noticing Montech from their SKY TWO proximately last year and they keep bringing reason price from low to high end product range. Well done!
Nice review. This is an impressive case with an affordable price. Well done Montech.
I really hope in the future that Montech allows for the dust filter at the bottom to be removeable from the side or front of the case instead of the back, considering that the dust filter is full length anyways. Given the type of case it is, it'll be placed on the desk anyways, so the easier the maintenance the better. Lian Li's O11 cases, NZXT H9, and Phanteks's NV series of cases do this so why can't Montech, you know?
I think it might have to do with that this is their first run with this style of cases and many have been loving the changes that they have made on the O11 style design,
Just transferred my build into this today and it's honestly an amazing case for the price. Everything is solid and and feels premium nothing thin and flimsy.
I got the pro version and works well with my liquid freezer ii 280mm
Did you mount your liquid freezer on the top or side? Would it fit on the top?
@@slightburn_ on top in the very middle dropped cpu temps 10c in this case and a few off my GPU as well
With it being the liquid freezer it is tight definitely couldn't fit anything thicker than that.
Thanks for sharing, I am getting one soon 🎉
@@CFI963 no problem, get it you won't regret it! 👍
Nice, glad to hear it! I was honestly surprised at the build quality as well. Feels real good!
-D.
It's missing a vertical GPU mount which is standard for this kind of case. It looks nice, props for Montech for putting itself in case categories that they don't have in their line-up.
Love the watch Dimitri. Those Seiko divers are great and that orange face never fails to pop.
i bought the white king pro, absolutely my favorite ever case and build, amazing for the price
I love this, will be buying this at my next pc upgrade!
it looks fantastic, I just put together a new build. Had I known about this case, I think I would have gotten this one. Dual chambers are everywhere but for everything you get with this one, It seems pretty good value as well. I didn't know of this case until now and I Just built my current build.
That side panel being able to swing to fron panels is a great idea
Been waiting for this beast to come out for a few months now!
Been doing research for my next case. looking into MATX, want to get a smaller case than what I have no (Define R6). Honestly really like the Thermaltake Tower 200. But really like this one here as well. Was already a fan of the O11, but started looking into other cases when i decided not to do a custom loop. I likely wont be building for another year unfortunately, but this is a top pick front runner for me!
There is also an O11 mini if you want a smaller case that looks like the O11D
Hardware Canucks taking over that case review space. Freaking epic that someone is flying the flag of making quality reviews for cases!
The red case with blue rgb looks like ultra magnus! It’s awesome!
Mine arrived yesterday. Went for the PRO version in white 👍
When you showed the orange version I immediately thought of putting it with the ASRock live mixer board
Hope Montech and others see your multi-hued case renders. Very pretty.
Great job Montech! Bringing something that's supposed to be expensive and transform it to a much affordable pricing!
they all have this Case, the NZXT was here, why gamers all need that, why review it all ?
Its been 10 years since I've upgraded cases, I still have the Corsair Air 540, I love the dual chamber design, but these new styles are speaking to me. since I don't think I would ever go back to a regular tower design.
Got the white pro version 2 days ago and added 2 more Montech fans to the front mesh. It cools my 4090 about 5 more degrees, than in my Cooler master h500 mesh case. Great video👍🏻
Wow , thats good to know. Thanks for sharing.
about to move my current pc into this case. its my favorite fishbowl design
You can take a look at JONSBO’s TK1/TK2, which is a complete curved glass chassis.
I'm thinking about making my next PC in the blue variant case, I hope it fits the AIO with it's fans from NZXT Kraken 360 on the top, and I hope it fits a 4080 super. More case manufactures need color variants in there pallet.
Just bought the pro in black. Going with an AIO because it seems like it needs more exhaust from the default configuration.
Gradient case color options would be amazing. I'd much rather have that than RGB.
i got the black pro case and i love it and the price is not bad.
Very impressive case
I have the Sky Two and love it, but this looks amazing.
I'm on my first PC build and kinda wish I would've gone with a dual chamber so the bottom intake isn't directly over the PSU.
I have a Sky Two build I did a year ago, but when Micro Center gets the King 95 Pro in stock (just as vanilla now), I'm going to swap my rig over to have more breathing room, more drive expansion options, and for that sick red color.
I've seen people slap a 2nd fan in the bottom of their Sky Two builds and wondered what they were thinking since the PSU is blocking any airflow?
Finally interesting colors 😊
It's very good but it's too tall for where I'd like to put my next case. Hopefully they release a microatx version to rival the 011d mini.
Not in the market of buying a new PC/Case but def have my eyes on this now.
These cases are wonderful i love what they've done but I just don't need to replace my CM-690 II from over a decade ago. I would definitely recommend this to like a younger sibling or something though.
Wow, I have the same case! It's getting a little long on the tooth, it doesn't have USB 3.0 on the front and it doesn't support today's humongous graphics cards
@@pacifico4999 I "only" have a 3080, but you can take the bays out of the front of the case to make more room. I never use the front IO anyway to be honest, I have a few usb extensions (my desk is big) that are closer to me than the case.
D I still recon Montech should sell the matching fans that you find in the cases separately. The Skye two has Grey bladed reverse flow ARGB fans in but cant buy them separately
I was gonna get the nv5 but I’m leaning towards the monthech 95 now
Montech please make a XL version. 3 cms intake on the bottom (feet). Support for 140mm rear, 3-140mm and 420mm radiator top and bottom, E-ATX motherboard support, push pull support for a 280mm AIO on the side. Also make it 4 cms taller to accommodate easily 30mm fans and a ticker radiator fan configuration
What do you think about the GAMEKM Genki Bomb Pc Case ? It is € 85 but looks futuristic with good airflow in a small form-factor !
nice video do you think it is possible to unmount all color part to put them on white one ? to have colored with white interior ? )
If you want a dual-chamber case that is REALLY affordable and interesting is the DIYPC ARGB Q3 Green (personally I LOVE the green and after working with this case it's surprisingly nice for the very cheap pricepoint that it is). Could be fun to see your thoughts, especially since for a lot of people they just want the look and don't really care about materials that they realistically aren't going to touch after they build it :)
Oof. You got me excited. But that case looks extremely budget. like the king 95 is the PC you want but the DIYPC ARGB Q3 is the one you have at home.
@@trsskater it is on the cheaper side but it's not as bad as you think. It still has tempered glass and fits ATX power supplies. Personally I'm not always touching and feeling the computer I don't really care. Considering just how much cheaper and smaller it is I would say it's an absolute win.
@@xPLAYnOfficial What I mean is it is the lower quality version of the case. No removable trays for the fans on the top. It's not a tooless glass removal, no rubber gramets, the included fans are not good, the rear PCIe brackets seem to be the punch out type that you can't put back, the 120 fans on the side are placed weird since it's tall enough for 2x 140 but they are trying to space better to not look so small, and in general a low quality fit and finish. I feel like you are making a lot of compromises that makes that price appropriate to me. So it's like it's nice that they make a case for someone who wants that look on a budget at half the price of the king 95, especially since the king 95 pro fans aren't very good, you can get the non pro and get better fans. The king 95 is a pretty bomb deal compared to the competition already I don't think it would be worth it to go for the other DIYPC case.
@@trsskater Another consideration is size. Pretty much all of the dual chamber cases that are going for this O11 Dynamic type aesthetic are very big. This case is matx and is a lot smaller and thus way easier to fit on a normal desk. Yes there are definitely compromises for sure but as you pointed out as well this case is a lot cheaper. Personally I have a rig setup with this case and Lian Li SL120 fans and in my opinion it looks pretty darn gorgeous. I also especially love the color choices like the teal and pink. Just adds more variety and spice of life.
@@xPLAYnOfficial IMO the king 95 should have been in teal rather than persion blue. It is a much nicer color. But I'm sure some people would like the darker blue as well.
Here's an odd question ... I'm just across the border from you guys in NY. Where do you get PC equipment in MTL ? Are there any good retailers ?
Went with the Hyte Y70. Dual chamber design and that front 4K touchscreen is pure next level.
Perhaps in another life Montech.
And i guess thats also 120 bucks aye?
@@Vismajor01 120 bucks matters only if you're a Broke Boi. 😆
Yea red is dope but just wish the blue was more lighter. Need more funky case colors in 2024
can take a look at tecware vxm its a budget case with reserve included rgb case fans
I own this case only went for white as dont like black interiors, if there where options with white internals I might have chosen differently
How's the rgb light strip on the side connected? For the non pro version
This case is a good one with a few things I would change like opening up the plastic covers with thinner plastic to allow more air, having the fan/rgb hub in the base models and finer fan filters on the main covers.
Hey, can I have that desk mat? The one you ran the car over? If you wouldn't mind.
Would add to my setup, especially in these broke times.
thanks for making version without fans
The fat desk case fad is awesome. The selction of big desks is on the rise.
Those temps on the GPU is a no-go for me, sadly
I'd honestly suggest to buy the no fan version and just add them on your own, some quality fans, you can go with some P12/P14 and be good to go
Though I'm also guessing you didn't test with a radiator on top, that might help a lot, cause stock configuration only has 1 exhaust, too much hot air clogged inside
At 5:22, is that orange dial from a Citizen ECO drive or a Seiko Auto SRPD59K? ❤
I'm not personally a fan of curved tempered glass but I love that they're doing something new and still at a reasonable price
The swivelling fan bracket I agree feels unnecessary and not all that helpful, especially since it changes from intake to exhaust unless you flip the fans which defeats the purpose of an easy swivel anyway.
Other thing I'm a big fan of is having filters on all sides with a strong lean toward intake but then having vents all around the case for that pressure to escape. So in theory it should have way more than enough airflow to keep cool, excellent dust prevention and no concentrated heat exhaust. I'm reminded of an old gaming laptop I had at a LAN party many years back which accidentally cooked a can of soup that was sitting next to it.. 90C exhaust concentrated in one spot for hours can end badly so it's nice to see that spread around
Shame it's not easily available in Australia though, Montech has a pretty small presence here
I absolutely love what Montech is doing. Beating everyone else by offering more features and high quality, with insane price.
I thought the AIR 903 is the best they can do. But now they offer more value with the KING 95, Wow !
Seems to be a perfect case to me !
Getting this maybe. I9 11900f with a rtx 3060ti
Ez purchase with all the fans if it's $99
I wait for the montech sky one mini for $30 a few months ago
Great build for my client😂
This case has an amazing value, alas the bottom dust filter can only be removed from the back. I've experienced this with my case and it's such an annoying thing. It really made me lazy in cleaning the case and i probably don't want it to happen in a showcase product like this.
Yeah, especially since the filter is so massive. I think they wanted to keep the sides / front clean of any sticking out plastic handles.
-D.
This case is actually pretty crazy, can I fit a 280mm aio on the front ?
I am VERY impressed. I may be migrating my system over in the near future.
what GPU/CPU was you using for the thermals
Who makes those sweet mousepads?
What if using 2 140mm side fans as exaust and bottom and top aio as intake and rear exaust?
I’m very confused by the thermals. In most reviews of this case GPU temperature was good and CPU wasn’t great, and here it’s the opposite now.
I ordered this case and the H6 Flow. Both are really awesome, but I liked the slightly smaller H6 and how clean the H6 looks with the fan compartments on the bottom and side. The fans fit so nicely in those pockets and you don't see any grating or body of the case. I did like the PSU mounts on the bottom of the Montech instead of the top of the H6 (easier for clean cable routing on the back. Considering everything you get with the Montech (e.g. mesh, glass, fans, etc.), it's tremendous value and the build quality was above and beyond most other brands.
Both cases are 5 stars to me, it just comes down to personal preference.
The H6 Flow works well but struggles with fitting certain fans, like the Lian Li SL Infinity. It's better suited for NZXT fans which it's designed for.
@@phalaxis3573 I was able to fit the new Lian Li SL 120/140 Inf V2 fans in. Now that they have redone the power connector (flush to the side), they fit like a glove. Actually looks great because there is hardly any space. Wish I could post a pic.
@@Masonplays963 Interesting, I thought Lian Li were still on V1 for their SL Infinity fans? Haven't seen an announcement on V2s.
@@phalaxis3573sorry, I should have verified. I installed the uni fans V2. I like that they aren't overdone with RGB.
If the glass would be ONE part to cover both sides... i would buy it.
I never understood the craze behind fish tank cases. Each to their own but I would like a good old fashion steel/ mesh case with no transparent sidepanel. Mid and high tower.
It's for those that want to build a show piece rather than a function over form. I've spent way too much on my PC just to make it look pretty and I'm the only person that sees it. Womp womp lol.
Thought his case was really nice until I considered that the included fans probably suck (which seems to be right). Still could be a good case, I dig the budget hyte looks (without forcing me to vertically mount my GPU), but some investment in real fans would be required, IMHO. Still want a Fractal Torrent tho... lol 🤤
Dude, if they offered it in those gradients you showed, that would be an INSTANT buy for me!
Yes, those colors looked insane. But I want an 140mm only case, I am really looking for an XL version
Wishing I had waited and bought this instead of the Sky 2....much better layout.
hey can you tell me please the diffrence about thermal right phantom spirit se and the evo
I'd take a mesh one of these please. 🤗
This case is cool, but I really like my Phanteks NV7.
glass is glass and glass breaks - jerryrigeverthing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
can't wait for this to come out in australia TAT
This might sound weird and might be irrelevant for most people, but for me the less plastic the case employs - the better. So for that reason alone I'd go with the O11.
Can you give us a MMX 200 review?
TY! Loving this case!
I haved today in black ❤
possible doing vertical gpu ? or can you somehow prevent GPU sag ?
Men if i didn't bought the AIR MAX 03 i would seriously thinking in buying this
Jonsbo has had a case just like this for years now. But it's only ITX and expensive.
jonsboTK-1 MICROATX /TK-2 ATX
I love it when people say "in case" in a case reviews. 😄
Then again... "out case" wouldn't make much sense. 😆
having the option for two power supplies is neat but i dont know how youd be able to use both of them, even if you dedicate it to a gpu it still needs a start signal from the motherboard
Especially on the non-pro, it's better to remove that hdd compartment and mount a single psu in the upper position. That gives you a space with a large flat plate in the lower position to mount fan and aRGB splitters.
i love this case best i had ever!
The top is palstic or metal? Case looks nice but dnt know if it can hold a cat ;S
But can you fit a PROPER custom water cooling system inside like a proper 360mm radiator and im not talking about AIO rubbish eiother but proper custom water cooling?
Yes
What's the TLDR differences between the pro and non pro version?
Inclusion of fans I think
4x 120 fans and 2x 140 fans and fan controller
PRO has 6 fans (1x 120 regular, 3x 120 reversed, 2x 140 reversed and a fan hub for ARGB and power). The non-pro doesn't have the fans or the hub, but still has the integrated soft light strip at the front.
-D.
I've watched videos about the Montech King 95 Pro many times and noticed something wrong.
If the 140x2 side fan can be used as a front fan when in mesh mode, will the fan be the intake or exhaust? because I read the spesification 140x2 fan is reverse version
you're right. if you're swapping those side 140s to the front, then you'll need to flip those fans as intake fans.
once you do so, you'll get mesh front intake with nice RGB visible when you look in the chamber.
Yes you need to flip the fans. The bracket is removable, so it takes less than a minute. Only thing to do beforehand is unplug the fan cables, as they are nicely pre-routed by default (in order to take the fans full out).
-D.
No vertical GPU mount?
how many rgb fans does the built in hub support?
This or the NZXT H6?
do 120mm fans work with all intake / exaust points in this case?
Yes
