❤good idea to not lose your screw
Good job
It’s so hard to connect display cable on low quality screens idk if I connected it properly
Sometimes it takes a couple tries to get it to seat right.
Thank you! Started with a different video that got me in a jam then I found yours and it got me out!
So glad it helped!! Thanks for watching. Cheers
❤one thing about Home button I see other videos they warn it before they take it off ❤
Hey i have some questions pls.
I hve a habit of cleaning my phone with wet tissue offen, can that cause any damage to phone if water goes inside through the pots? My audio failed the output test at genius bar recently as well.
Do they have to change the display? Can’t they just fix the audio ports and charging port as having issues with both.
If water seeps into the phone it could damage the electronics. Try cleaning with a microfiber towel or dedicated electronics cleaners.
You likely could just change out the parts but most places probably want to upsell the whole display and have less work but replacing the whole unit.
Do you think its a good idea to go in the order of unplugging the ear piece, front facing camera and upper housing BEFORE disconnecting the battery?
I think your order should be changed because the battery and all circuits connecting may still have currents flowing through. You may run the risk of causing a catastrophic electrical shortage by going in the order you decided to go in.
If you were successful with this repair, awesome!!! But to greatly lower the chances of creating some electrical problem with another component, disconnecting battery should be first before other connections.
Interesting. I have not had any issue and I’ve done this repair to this phone and others without issue. Sometimes disconnecting the battery can be a whole other ordeal but if it makes folks happy, then go for it 🤙
I just replaced My iPhone SE 2020 screen I bought the screen on Amazon for 15€ it’s working fine but looks like it’s tn not ips colors looks bad but for 15€ is okay
Let us know how it holds up!
unable to activate touch ID on this phone
Check the home button connection. It could be simple things like updating your phones IOS or ensuring nothing like a screen protector is messing with your home button.
@@learnsavediy I changed the screen of a white iphone8 to a new black screen, thinking the white button would make a neat custom look. It could be the white button must be matched to a white screen. I'll see if the button still works on the original broken screen first. [follow up] I returned the home button back to the original damaged screen and it works. This means the new screen is the fault.
