In celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day, we are delighted to share an Edmonton Symphony Orchestra premiere piece from our New Music series concert, Love Is A Battle Field, curated by Cris Derksen (Treaty 8).
Enjoy Derksen's work, War Cry, featuring Rebecca Benson, vocals (ESO Debut) and conducted by ESO Resident Conductor, Cosette Justo Valdés. This exciting ESO concert on April 20 was a special evening of 21st-century orchestral music by living Indigenous Prairie composers at the Winspear Centre.
