My 10 year old came up to my hubby and I the other day and said "This is America, I'm a free American, I don't have to follow your rules" we bout DIED laughing. I said "if you want a roof over your head, food in your belly, a ride to school daily, toys in your closet and clothes on your body.... you gotta follow the rules" I am 100% on board with your mentality here!!! Dax killed this! Particularly him talking about working yourself to death for years and barely getting by - then when you reach retirement age, you could be in poor health or just too old to enjoy the fruits of your labors.
I've never heard of Dax. 😁 I'm so impressed. What a beautiful soul and talented musician. This was so powerfully true. It brought tears to my eyes. I felt the same way about the original song by Oliver Anthony. We so need these Thomas Paine voices now. We the people must take our country back or be totally controlled. You know - I never heard of Dax before either; but never heard of Oliver Anthony before his song -- I believe there are so many music artists out there that have fell in the hands of record labels and then their music was edited or silenced -- so wrong.

45 years is from the age we start to work, around 18 or 20 years depending on how fast we finish school. At least I think it is because of that

This song is one hundred percent correct. I love that Dax remix the song but he's not going crazy and he's just speaking facts. One little tidbit he's not wearing a tank-top he's wearing an actual shirt. LOL

The minimum age to receive social security is 62... with high penalties for retiring that young. So if you start working at 17 (like most people) it will take 45 years (at a minimum) to be able to retire.

i very much differentiate between republican and conservative. the parties democrats and republicans are the vehicle/organizations that which people use to achieve that goal. but what i've noticed is a lot of the new age liberals are hard left socialists/communists. and they literally march in lock step. but a great deal of the conservatives/Biblical conservatives will vote according to the individual.. not the party. a HUGE difference if you think about it. one seems to operate in a hive mentality and if you step out of line you are suddenly called an "other" but on my side of thinking we try to at least reason or negotiate. now i'm not saying we got all perfect people. we have our own special ed's xD but those tend to keep to themselves out on private property and tell people to shove off or they'll develop a taste for lead :P

I think it's great that those young men were so inspired by Oliver that they wanted to expound on his song and the message is the same: UNITY! ❤
I don’t know how all that works either. The rights to the song, but I kind of feel like they are cashing in on Oliver’s success and song. His words are great too but …….. is this not what the government and entertainment industry does? Take a product or song and change it a little bit and resale as their own. I don’t know how I feel about it. He needs to do his on original song.

The 45 years part was referring to you start work at 18 fresh out of high school, work for 45 years, then retire when you're 63 and you've worked and slaved so long you're now too old to enjoy it.

If you don't raise your kids, somebody else will (schools, government, gangs etc). Parents need to set rules and boundaries of wrong and right behaviour .
