Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This CZcams channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

I have to say that the part of your game this year that has been the most improved that you haven't talked about is your putting. From the early break 75 to now, your putting has saved you a ton of strokes on your rounds at least from what we have seen in videos.

I was playing ap2s as long as i can remember, and in '19 i switched to the t100s. I love them, and will be in my bag for a long long time. I'm an 11 hcp.

Before the fascination with monster distance woods…I’ve had clients learn control by playing hardest holes with just 7 iron and putter….improves their mental approach by leaps and bounds…= rid the mind of expectations…concentrate on solid strikes and course management ..thx Rick
The fascination is more hype than anything else. These monster drives are still well short of 300 yds carry. 250 yds carry is the average drive of a low handicap golfer. Distance isn't all that as Rick proves in this video. Accuracy and short game is where it's vital. Players who think they can smack a ball 300 yds are deluding themselves.
I'm a beginner golfer. Had lessons in high school and other than that, I've learned all my skills from Rick. I recently caught up on years of his videos as I have only been playing 6 months. I play cobra irons, no woods, making par with older guys that have been playing 30 years plus. Thank you Rick!!!

Fantastic golf, Rick! I really enjoyed watching this round and your review of the clubs, especially after watching Peter Finch's Titleist fitting video. After a round like that I don't see how you DON'T put them in the bag.
The guy getting hit was unexpected but gave me a good belly laugh. I LOVE my AP 2 irons. I just got them last spring, so I’m not in the market yet. I like the idea of a forgiving T200 3 iron.

Would love to see you play a round where you use your current irons and these and hit them back to back to see how they feel and perform. You can pretend its a normal round, us driver/3 wood but every iron shot hit one of each of the irons and see what you like. Based on how you played with these, I feel like these might be better? haha love the vids Rick!

I’m a 21.something hcp and play with titleist 714cb irons. Bought them on fb after testing my friends ap2s because they had stiff shafts. I like them alot and hit the 3i straight more often than my driver or my wood

Rick, I know you've done so many videos on iron stance but can you do one on iron prep. Like how to stand, how far away from the ball, how to swing, where your eyes, feet and body are in the entire part of the swing? Basically a full swing breakdown.
I'm constantly toeing the ball and it's so frustrating toeing a lob wedge from 50 out and it going 50 past the hole 🙃

You're the second teaching pro that I watch who has selected the new Titleist T100 irons for their bag. Great job on your nine holes playing only irons. Sorry to see the cart accident! Hopefully, the old fellow wasn't seriously hurt and he took over the driving duties. I enjoyed watching your enthusiasm with the new irons!

I just tried out the T100, T100S, and T200’s a couple days ago. I hit them next to the Ping G425’s. I liked the T100 the best out of the Titleist, but preferred the Ping’s out of them all.
When you're confident in golf it feels like you can hit any shot with any club on any part of the golf course. Nice video, Rick!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my T300 first gen irons. best game improvement iron I have hit in last 10 years, love the feel and ball flight and dissent angel very consistent distance across the face for a game improvement iron and dose not have hot spots off the face like other game improvement Irons where distances very 10 to 15 yards 👍 I think Titleist has done a great job with there T series of irons and woods .I would highly recommend someone at least trying them in a fitting and even a possible combination set of T100 T100s T200 and T300 .
Had Titleist for the last 40 years. Big Fan! Currently playing the AP3's as a retired guy and loving them.
Really like the videos Rick. Clubs look fantastic. No two clubs in my bag are the same.
Can you test the Golf Pad GPS smart watch and phone app for accuracy to see if you trust it? I've seen it only a couple yards difference from range finders but I really want to see if it's premium caddy advice is at all helpful to a pro golfer. I usually club down one iron compared to what it tells me to but it's taking into accounts all my horrible shots from the beginning of usage. Think it would be a nice little challenge to see if you follow it's advice how would you do, but recommend programming it correctly before testing (e.g. irons in your bag, club lengths, handicap, etc.)
p.s. I've been watch your channel for a couple months now and your advice has been fantastic. I've gotten so much better and gained so much more appreciation for the game after watching you. Your candidness helped me gain a lot of confidence in knowing that even a pro can have a missed shot here and there. Your swing coaching and shot advice have been superb. Love the looks of the T100's...I'm a mid single digit handicap and have been playing the sameTitliest DCI 762s since high school (almost 20 years) as I just have never really found any new irons that felt good and made me think that they would actually improve my game and were worth the money...I finally tried and liked the AP2s and have been waiting a few seasons for them to go down in price but I recently tried the T100s and have fallen in love and have taken the top spot of my wish list...

Hi Rick! A couple of days late, but I’m on holiday in the Caribbean and haven’t been online a lot. I love the looks of the irons! Unfortunately, they don’t do a T100 putter! Yes, I’m busting on you for your putting. Surprised? OMG! I think you need to review more putters. 😝 You seemed to hit the T100’s very well. I think that they could be your next set of irons. I would put that T200 3iron in your bag. It’s awesome.

im still using titleist DC1's from late 90's early 2000s and they work well for me
For me personally, Titleist and Callaway have been the absolute best irons that I have ever played. Period. Dating back to my college days with the 714 AP1s to the my Apex CF19s and Pro 21s during my current Amateur career. Great vid Rick, and keep up the amazing work!

Absolutely love Titleist irons!!
I love playing with only irons I do it all the time with a 3-p sw and a driving iron. I’m terrible with woods so feel a lot more comfortable that way. Of course it’s tough on long par 5’s , but still better than losing a drive in the woods.
Don't blame that man, Ricks a celebrity! I'd be gazing at him shooting those shots all day and walk right into the lake or something lol. But seriously great video Rick, those irons are very nice. Would love to look into them in the future!

I actually played 18 hole twice with just my irons. The irons that I played were the srixon z545 irons. Was a great experience and good practice.
I've been playing Titleist DCI 981 irons for the last 22+ years. They have been amazing. I just can't justify buying new irons but if I ever did, the T100s would be where I'd start looking.

Titleist irons are the best. I have 718 AP2, 718 T-MB 4 iron and Vokey SM6 wedges. Absolutely stunning clubs.
