      1. More details please, on release, on wrist movements, the feels/checkpoints of a good setup including the rest of the body, and no need to rush it.
      2. Take a page from Rick Shiels book and just keep churning out swing tips with a hook we can all relate to "how to stop slicing", "course management" etc. And just do them again a year later with a better mic and post-production. It works and I'd watch it.

I’m always trying to move my weight further forward to avoid hitting behind the ball. Now I think it’s straightening my right arm Down towards the ball that my problem is. • @chipandputt
      @chipandputt Před rokem +9

      @@nicholastheos3022 it didn't ... although at first I was trying to go to the limits of the range of motion, which was super awkward. I dialed it back a bit, treated it more like a bit of error mitigation rather than a full end-stop limit like he described. Oddly enough, what the minor adjustment did was get my upper arms to get a bit more "connected" to my torso, which has cut my dispersion down significantly, especially with wedges .. down to a 5.8 index.

Felt really weird holding a club and thinking about internal and external rotation of shoulders and hands but once I got comfortable with the setup it started working. Great explanation on the relative arm positions. I always thought I had a good grip, but now I know that it is no good if it is not locking in the right arms positions. After I watched your video I realised my left was neutral-internal and my right was internal-neutral. No matter what grip change I tried I could not eliminate my push fade. So, thanks very much for sharing this aspect of your golfing knowledge. Definitely interesting and far from boring. More pros should share things that they are working on. Not just in golf but in all sports. To my mind the modern media is too focussed on the theatre aspect of sports. You tube is great way to sidestep this dumbed down outlook. Can’t wait until part 2 Bryson. I’ve taken on your action, irons and grips. Love the you tube content as you are now my coach. When you find the time, could you do a video on your swing for shots between 100 to 130 yards please.

    Bryson, Thank you so much for this video. First, I've been struggling for a long time and you nailed it right off the bat. I was told by everyone that to get rid of the over the top and the weak shot that came from it I needed a strong grip. Well they were so wrong. Everyone is different and for me I needed to go from seeing 3 knuckles to only 1. No more over the top chop and a great ball flight. Thanks again! Sean

    Hey Bryson,
    I first watched this video a couple months back and it's the first time I've heard a golf lesson mention that internal bicep/external forearm setup... For me that one tip has totally revolutionised my swing!
    Previously my driving distance was circa 230 yards, but since I've been using your setup I average 270 and even hit a 290 yesterday on the course... that's further than I even imagined was possible for me!
    Thank you so much!

    No other elite pros are putting out this sort of content off their own backs. I love this Bryson, the way you say what feels comfortable and repeatable to you is refreshing, for so long people having been touting the perfect golf swing, but we’re not all perfect or as athletic as professionals! Great work 👍🏻

    That rotation of the arms at set up was so good...doing it that way makes the triangle feel so solid.

    Thank you Bryson! I was already using the single plane swing and play forged tour one lengths but a few things you mentioned in this video were light bulb moments for me. I’ve only been golfing 18 months but this past Saturday I shot an 84. My lowest score to date. You were already my favorite golfer and this content makes me even more of a fan! Keep it up!

    Bryson just keep it up bro. Love watching you play and how you go about it and that’s coming from an olderish guy that grew up watching tiger win over and over and always mimicking his swing or trying to at least lol but watching you and how you’ve always been super technical with explanations I’ve been using your swing or again trying to and im playing the best golf of my life so preciate it bro

    Upper arm out, hands in to compensate: this really works for me to keep the left arm straight (at least on the mat). And the best is: can be changed immediately, no difference in feel as right arm being kept unchanged. Thanks for sharing this great idea, which I never heard before.
    Cool channel with information from first hand.

    This was so concise, but exactly what I needed. I struggle with the right elbow in the downswing at times and having this simple thought far exceeds the driving the nail technique. Thanks so much B! I love the thought of this becoming a real series! Working with a Joe to Pro sort of idea, Adam into a single or low double-digit handicap would be impressive, but from a pro perspective rather than your typical certified coach. But let's be honest, not everyone can putt :). Even teaching shot shaping to him/trackman tourneys would be an educational watch after committing to better contact! Cheers!
