    GameSynth is amazing, especially for anyone who's looking into experimenting with procedural audio. And finally more people are getting to know about it!

    I bought GameSynth and have been having a lot of fun working with it.
    I haven't been able to get access to GameSynth Runtime though- which was the main feature I was excited about.
    So, I can only render static audio files- and can't do things like dynamic weather sounds or make use of their Engines Plugin to procedurally create the sounds for a car.
    Lots of promise here, and if you don't care about Runtime- it's great; but I wish they were more upfront about how exclusive access to the Runtime Add-on is before I bought it.

    as Michael stated if you're still too light on the pocketbook even on sale or you miss the sale for GameSynth, be aware that Tsugi has a couple of lighter applications that use the GameSynth engine and that are really excellent in their own right as well. there's DSP Action and DSP Motion, and they actually have a lot of capability. they are $49 normally and $25 or so on sale.
    also be aware Tsugi only makes apps for Windows, there are no Mac native versions but they can be run under Parallels or under UTM.

      Yes, Windows only. Thanks for pointing that out. Forgot to mention that in the video.

    I wonder if it's possible to render out ambisonic files for weather sounds?

    it's very weird that they charge $300 but offer no trial. even paid VSTs have trials, how a standalone software like it has no trial. heck if they are scared of ppl making sounds and then not paying, make a trial that expires in 2h, disable saves, blow up the quality of the samples, whatever, but let me try it first.

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  Před rokem

      Yes, I do agree. The only reason I looked at it was because of a Black Friday sale. $300 is too much to go into it blindly.

    How much space it needs to the harddisc.

      I don’t have access to my Windows PC for a while, so I unfortunately can’t verify, but if I remember correctly it wasn’t all that much.

    Does it export wave audio files instead of middleware or engine project files?

      all of them except retro. but retro is meant more for creating new sounds from scratch, not using existing sounds

      @@florianangerer5121 Tofusound is the Standard to make footstep. I am a hobby User but Footsteps are good paid. If there is a cheap video production in regular to book a footstepartist is usual. Daily payment is 600 $. If you book Foley artists the daily payment is arround 2500 $. Interface here look good but the sounds are close to useless for a production on budget. You can use such for example for a Gameboy fan CZcams production.

      @@DanielaTocan what are you talking about? paying for footsteps? are you mentally ok?

    • @DanielaTocan
      @DanielaTocan Před rokem

      @@lalolanda2239no but it’s one of best payment from gamedevelopers and companies. Sounddesign and special footsteps is when you make as footstep artist arround 2500 $ per day. For Indie productions with Edwards it’s arround 600$ per day. So a 3D Synth it’s interesting but there are for sounddesign other methods. Special for Dolby Atmos. Such software is good for Students and education to understand and teach basics.
