As a New Zealander and because our country doesn't have quite such a marked delineation between left and right, I didn't agree with much of what Senator John McCain stood for at times, but I have always had the greatest of admiration and respect for the man. He may not have quite made it to the White House, but his legend, courage and humility, are hugely respected the world over. He is held in far, far, higher regard and esteem than that cretin who currently inhabits the WH could ever hope to be, or ever will be. God bless John McCain.

Obama was a great man and president. Despite the haters Obama served 8 years and won the Electoral College and the Popular vote both times. One of the only presidents to do that in history. Shows you the majority of America loved Obama!! Despite what the haters say who are in the minority.
What's sad is there's HELLA non Americans of all backgrounds TILL THIS DAY who don't understand why Americans hated him. Alot of non Americans actually love & respect Obama its crazy. I didn't agree with alot of John McCains policies but after seeing him shut people down who spoke ill & disrespected Obama while running against him, I was honestly like wait....what? Dear Trump supporter, your current president was not invited to honor the death of a military hero. NFL athletes are not dishonoring the flag, veterans or military. Your president is. RIP John McCain. Even though not everyone agreed with his politics, his courage, integrity, loyalty and bravery were undeniable. He served his country with great distinction. You know this week, Sarah H. Sanders stared dumbfounded at Trump when her refused to acknowledge McCain. In his passing McCain commanded the respect of even the most party loyal people.After all that has been said and done THAT was the first I had ever seen Sarah sort of disprove of the president.

I think Mccain chose Obama to deliver his eulogy because he knew Obama would speak the truth. And the truth is all Mccain needs to serve his incredible legacy. These are two political leaders on opposite side of aisle who've worked together to exemplify how American democracy should operate, with trust, compromise and ultimately, patriotism by putting country over party. RIP Senator McCain, thanks for always doing what you think is right.

God I miss President Obama. I will miss McCain too. I will never forget that one defining moment during the 2008 campaign when, at one of McCain's Town Hall sessions, an ignoramus was given the opportunity to make a comment into the microphone. "Obama's an Arab, don't you know". John seized back the microphone and quickly denounced the comment. Right there, we saw John's character even when it was to his detriment. He recognized the untruth, hubris and bigotry for what it was. We now have a leader that unabashedly leverages and aids and abets that bigotry. It is at times like today that we need people of McCain's and Obama's character more than ever.
