Still the best TS ever. I went to Austin Texas on tour (SRV Territory) and demo’d every TS and variant they had in stock new and used. 6 in total.
This was the best so I bought it.
Second best weirdly enough was the mini TS.
I think I found your stolen ts-10. It just so happens, Mick has conveniently showed up with one on today’s pedal show.

Funny TPS did a Tubescreamer comparison yesterday which included this peddle, they seem to like the Walrus horn and the Hudson Sidecar especially. So you both releasing videos on the same day

I bought a unbranded TS808 on ebay made from all high end parts and the original chipset which I checked upon arrival. It cost me £38 and sounds absolutely stunning. The person who built it is still selling these and many other stompers on ebay. I have bought three other TS copies before and sent them back due to the fact they sounded wrong. Its high quality components and the original chipset that is what to look for in the copy pedals. I also own the Voodoo Lab Sparkle drive which is also brilliant giving your amp and extra channel to boot.

It blew me away when you played it clean. It just added a bit of punch to the chords and sustained enough to not die before you hit another. In short it added to the clean sound but did zero to spoil it. your attack & definition were left in tack. I've own 4 ts wanna be's and hated them they got Reverbed in short order!!!
Add to the bonus of your enjoyable playing. I have spent 2 years 2 hours a night to learn how to go from
my straight out medium and high gain playing without playing clean to some decent intricate playing.
I now write using both even in the same tunes.
Excellent as always - nice sounding pedal and great playing as always. For future reference, play things like that Gibson BEFORE you play your purple tele - coz that tele made the Gibson sound decidedly average. A bit like having Hendrix opening for say, Nickelback, (or any other band for that matter).

Loved it with the Tele, didn't like it at all with the Les Paul. For some reason, hunbuckers seem to be able to push too much clean signal through most Tubescreamers, and I really dislike that clean blend sound. The Tele into the Fender sounded great though!

I don't mean to be negative but this sounds like a tube screamer, because it is. RYRA admits it's a straight 808 clone (which is fine). The ts mini sounds just as good IMO

Great sounding Tubescreamer, more "round" than the Ibanez one. Pete, have you tried the Maxon OD820? That's a good option for a TS-type pedal as well!!
If can get your hands on one you should try out the kingtone duelist sometime it's a killer ts style pedal

Hey there, Pete. Here's my video idea: I've found i keep listening to your 'Mayer Tones' GT-1000 video and the video you did with The Captain with the multi-effects pedals. In that one you mention you own a Helix. Do you have an opinion of pros and cons between the Helix and the Boss? Could you do a video comparing the two? Maybe a similar format to the Mayer video would work - with a "golden tone" that you are trying to emulate on each and then describe what you hear?

Mmm, sounds pretty much the same as a TS 808. Which I don't like because it sounds so nasal. Something the Mad Professor Little Green Wonder, also based on a TS808, gets solved by the 'body' knob instead of a tone knob.

I bought a ts808 clone off aliexpress for 28.99. It's ridiculously good and features a true, yes, a true bypass.

I saw one online for the first time today, it claimed to use the blues driver circuit, which is not one I'm familiar with. I get the feel and tone of bluesbreakers, Nobels clones, Klones, Tubescreamers with extra fuzz like Westwood and Moonshines. The Boss pedsl named the Blues Driver may be similar, or not all. MI Audio also makes the red plexi Crunch Box Distortion pedal
I love the neck pup in 'the purple one'. It's probably custom.. do you know the resistance?
Really just drops the ol' scream and cream on it. Would love to get used to a pup like that.
As GG says in interviews about the 'honest' sounding custom pups in his sig, they are very unforgiving (about as unforgiving as a brutally bright amp) but the tone is unmatched. Mayer finger tone for days.

There are many, many OD pedals that sound good with a good guitar(ist) playing into a good amp. Not rocket science or 'voodoo' anymore, just a bit boring . A Katana mini with TS emulator in pedal form - game over.
Your playing needs more practice.
