Big Truck Big RV I, like most, don't get all the buying, buying upgrading and further buying of upgrades just to sell and then sell again. It seems way fishy regarding the vendor relationships, while making your opinions seem very wishy washy, and without a more lasting host stability factor. You also recently displayed the the same with your strong endorsement of the Andersen Hitch. Next, what will change your mind on, a different brand tonneau cover, a different hitch, different tire, what?
Be careful, my friend - your followers have to be able to to relate using typical type financial realities. Furthermore, your reason why should be VERY convincingly true and relatable or not explained at all.
My advice, and respectfully, is that segue this final flip-flop with little examination right into other subjects and spare all the dismay of the truck upgrades you likely plan and without suggesting that this was because of smaller turning radius. After all, a limited amount of your followers will have or see the reason to have a 450, and you undoubtedly got many pumped up before just deflating them (myself not included).
Please give this some thought before deleting this video, my friend. Because even my wife who just casually knows your videos via my TV casting of tbem suddenly shouted out at the start of this video, that "if he gets a 450 after all those new upgrades, he's a total flake!"

Keep it up, man. So many people give you guff but they just don't understand. This is YOUR hobby. Some people spend it on "man caves" or UTVs or classic car/bikes, or even on booze and cigarettes. Plus, many cannot get to the old way of thinking; of buying a vehicle they can afford, not a PAYMENT. I've come to appreciate that when you don't have payments, it's not a huge amount to trade often, as many think. You've worked hard for your money, and I personally am going to sit back and be glad that you are sharing thing like this with us. Plus, you're making the right decision finally with red (op).
You can't hide your true nature from us. You are a guy who works hard to take care of your family. A down to earth guy who would go get breakfast tacos with the CEO & ditchdigger if you like them.

Luke Edward Amen brother. I catch shit from folks all the time for buying new trucks but that's my thing. They go to Hawaii for a week, I buy a truck. What's the difference? They have their hobbies and I have mine.

That's how I feel, who cares what people say most of them only wish to have a truck like ours, I was fortunate to find mine in a black platinum f450.

Picked up my Ruby Red F450 about a month ago. Love it. I went from a SRW 2011 F350 KR CC longbed. That was a very nice truck, also, but I needed more payload for my 2012 Arctic Fox 1150 truck camper. I also tow a 20' trailer with my 2006 Wrangler LJ. I have installed the side window vent shades, Airlift bags, Weather Tech floor mats, and a few other things. I am so happy with it and how it handles the weight and trailer going down tha road. Oh yeah, LOVE the wide track front end, bigger brakes, interior, and many other things. Thanks for all the info and enjoy all your videos.
I'm actually looking to get a new F-250 King Ranch in the Ruby red with Caribou two tone. I like it more than the monochrome. But the Platinum with the color match bumpers in Ruby red is really sharp.
Bart Macmanus I've always loved the two-tone on the king ranches since they first came out. It's a big part of what makes them stand out as a king ranch IMO.
I have that color combination on my 2017 f 450 lariat and it makes the RR stand out more than a single ruby red color

Congrats on the new truck. I was shocked to see you in the F350 to begin with. I really like the stance of the F450 like I have said in other comments. My 2012 F250 is at the dealership right now for repairs and the service director put me in a 2017 F250 and I think he pulled a little trick on me!!! Take care and great videos!

Oh yea I like monotone! Especially when the bumpers and grill has paint and no chrome! Especially the Ram and Chevy HD. Now all you need to do is replace the bumpers with big aluminum grill guard and bumpers, then have the chrome cross bars in the grill painted ruby red! That would be a very sharp not seen very often F450! I also like the Alcoa wheels! So I guess you traded again?

I actually saw that color on that truck a few weeks ago for the first time, looks really nice in person. The only other color I've seen is white. Great buy.

This color is ok, but I love the dark blue color, the same color on the ford badge.

Must be nice to buy or trade a new truck every few months. But I'm glad you did, now I can get some more candid information on them.
You change vehicles more than some people change their underwear lol, I used to have a 06 F-450 reg cab with a 165 wheel base had a 12x8 flat deck on it. It was a 2wd but it still had the wide track front end. In all honesty that truck turned sharper than my current 05 F-350 CC 4x4 short box SRW pickup. The wide track front axle does make a difference in turning radius. We don't want to be hearing about any complaining about your new truck lol
I currently have a 2016 F-250 King Ranch, painted Ruby Red and Monochromatic Paint Package and the Power Stroke. I love the look of the truck. Unfortunately, my commute is only 5.5 miles one way and I am not getting the diesel hot enough. Therefore, I am starting to have problems with the emissions' equipment. So, I have made the decision to trade my diesel truck for a gas truck. I placed the order just last week for a 2017 F-350 SRW King Ranch, Ruby Red with the Monochromatic Paint Package and 6.2l gas and 4.30 gears. Good luck with the new Truck.

Back in April i gave you the opportunity to test my 2017 F-450 Platinum when i came to Texas i even had a 32 foot enclosed goose neck attached you could have saved some effort buying and upgrading that 350 if you had gotten back with me. but back to your review you are right the 450 in a finished pick up is harder to find especially in the higher trim levels. I had to wait over 4 months for mine to be built. the chassis cab variety is every where (white and de-rated power). I absolutely love mine but due to a faulty driveshaft (vibration at 70+ mph) i have been in a series of loaners from dealer the 250 crew cab short bed diesel has a bigger turning radius than my 450 (250 has 40 degree wheel angle in turn) and currently the short bed crew 150 feels even bigger with only a 34 degree turn angle and i was told on the 150's that are lifted the turning radius suffers even more. but to compare dualies to dualies the 350 has a 57.8 feet radius and my 450 has a 50.7 that's close to 15% smaller and its a huge difference in a parking lot. the only disappointment i have is that the TPMS isn't available on the 450 but i can monitor my trailer tires on the factory display (despite the ford website saying that TPMS is included on all 6 tires excluding the spare) the only bad thing about the ride and it isn't the harshness i expected that . It is the squirminess of the 19.5 tires they do tend to wander in and out of the road grooves. and that fact that the front tires do not line up directly with the rear tires due to the wide Dana super 60 axle up front sometimes the front and rear will fight about which one is tracking the road groove causing a "loose" feeling in the rear. but i wouldn't trade my truck in for another and the series of loaner truck reaffirms for me just how right i was in building my truck and how right it is for me. Keep up the good reviews. give me a PM id like to share some of the 450 specific accessories that i have added to mine

That's what I was looking for in mono tone bronze fire but nothing was available within 500 miles so had to stick with the 350, Nice looking truck hope you're happy with it

I love your channel and love my 2017 F-350 DRW. I went for Ruby Red (Lariat) but opted for the Magnetic strip at the bottom.
I figured from the gripe video about the F350 that the turning radius problem would end up cost them that deal.
Love your video's, but you need to mention price, MPG, and more specs. Love the speed that truck seems to have. I have a dealer wanting to sell me a new 2016 Dodge dually, for 65, with all options, except sunroof, but I have my 2006 Ford and I guess I'll keep that one, especially since I only got 21 thousand miles. I also drive dually's. Thanks for your post, very well explained.
Solid choice...really like the F450 offering from Ford. I'm currently in a 2017 L5P 3500 dually....that decision was made purely on cost...since we have employee pricing...otherwise the F450 would have been my choice.

I had an F350 and then an F450. I just got a new Ram 3500 so that I could have the pulling power of the F450 with the ride quality and fuel mileage of the F350. I have the benefits of both of those trucks now in one package.
Thats great! But if I'm not wrong there is no 19.5" wheel size option in the RAM 3500, right?
That's just one of the benefits...I didn't like the ride of the 19.5" wheel, and those tires were super expensive.
He can buy wheel adapters if he wanted to.

In February of 2015 I bought a left over brand new 2014 Ford F150 STX Sport 4X4 but really didn't do any research before buying it didn't know about all the fancy stuff these trucks have now a days. So by September 2015 and 10K miles later I traded the 14 in for a 2012 Ford F150 Lariat Ultimate package and was in love. Then a few months later in 2016 family decided to buy a 9000lb 34ft travel trailer and my 2012 didn't have Max tow package so off to the dealer for a 2014 F250 6.2L all with in a year.
Howard892 I bought a '15 Ram in Dec '14. Traded it for a '15 Silverado dually in April 2015. Traded that for a '16 Silverado 2500 in Jan '16. Traded that for a '16 F350 Platinum in June 2016. Kept that one 30 days because it was a steaming hunk of crap. Traded for a '16 Ram 2500 July '16. Traded for a '17 Ram megacab dually in January '17. Just traded that for a '17 GMC Sierra All Terrain X last month. I lifted and customized all of them. #dieseltruckaddiction.

I so like these videos, very helpful making decisions on what truck to go with I was on the fence about going with the 2017 F350 to 2017 F450 no comparison pulling a drv full house I was thinking of going with it F350 because there's not much difference in Towing capacity but after watching your videos I think the f450 is the better Towing vehicle for my fifth wheel

The commercial service tires are really not an issue. They carry more weight and are the choice of many 350/3500 owners that like to carry a slide in cabover camper for better tire capacity. With the exception of Discount and a few other tire distributors the rest of the tire industry will work with you on commercial tires.

Congrats on the new truck....again. lol. Not that I didn't like your 350, but the 450's look so good. Especially in Ruby Red. We had a Race Red Lariat 450 come down the line Friday night that was loaded up with the LED headlights and I fell in love with it.
You turned earlier with the F450, I examined both video screen shot and it was 1 sec faster.

Congratulations just like the 350 it is still Overkill! In two weeks you will have a custom built 750 to tow your fifth wheel and 450 at the same time! The ride will be rough but it will have plenty of power! Lol

Some camera shake on this 450 but not as bad as your old 450 before you did the upgrade to the suspension

I have a modified 99 f350 drw. I test drove a 16 f450 a few years ago, power wise , I couldn't bring myself to drop the coin. My neighbor bought a cc drw, yet he also kept his 00 srw. I am starting to look at these new body styles........I just don't know if I can stop messing with my 7.3!

The turning radius is the biggest deal for me, and I am gonna start looking for an F450 soon as the funds free up... The F350's turning radius is more of an orbit than a turning radius. It rivals Jupiter.
