@@Kavefenix9 "The church is following what it represents" ... but when does merely quoting Catechism at us start becoming walking with us and fellowshipping with us? I've done the whole thing where you go to Adoration every day as a gay person and cry your eyes out to God... So many in the Church think that's the end of the spiritual journey but it isn't. What they discount is what God tells you while you're actually doing that... You go there and say "Okay God, here I am... I'm gay... and this is all your followers think I should be doing and all I'm capable of doing so ...here I am... ... ... ... ..." And you pray and pray and pray and pray... And at the end of the day, you STILL feel unfulfilled and unloved. Because you are ALONE. And God did not make us to be ALONE.
In fact, when I "give myself to God" (like so many people say I should), and go pray alone in the Church and whatnot... all I feel God telling me to do is "FORGET WHAT MY FOLLOWERS TOLD YOU... YOU ARE MORE THAN JUST A PRAYING MACHINE... I MADE YOU A HUMAN BEING, NOT AN ANGEL... GO BE WITH OTHER WARM-BLOODED HUMAN BEINGS GIVING THEM MY LOVE." And I say, "Lord, but your followers and priests say gay people can't X-Y-Z..." And God says, "DID THEY MAKE YOU? NO. I DID. LISTEN TO ME. GO GIVE AND SHOW LOVE TO A HUMAN BEING AND DON'T COME BACK TO ADORATION TO CRY UNTIL YOU DO."
So let's look at the score. ... God: 1... Ignorant Speakers Selling Books and Courses for God: 0.
It's almost like God knows more about the true human-to-human intimacy that gay people want and need than other humans in His Church do. It boggles my mind how ignorant His followers often are to what being human is all about. "Go pray" ... but never "Go LOVE." So strange to me.. ...

How do you reach it? And where from should anybody know, what it can all do?! Thrust in God! He heals every day, even from illness, that otherwise would have been the death sentence. You know what doctors write to their documents then? Spontaneous healing. But those cases are not applicable for science. Cause science always needs repeatability. So, no wonders in science. I do appreciate the explanation in this video and it makes sense in line with the original plan. However unless someone is gay, can we really appreciate how difficult it must be to have this asked of them? I know plenty of people of god who constantly sin. I know the video says we all struggle, but l do feel that feeling you are gay and trying to transform those feelings is too much to ask of someone and expect them to be able to live happily. I just think unless someone is in your shoes, how can they really know how real the struggle is. How are you doing now anyway? By the way, I am not catholic or anything really at the moment. right on If you are wondering about the question of whether your sexuality is a sin or not, I welcome you to consider the following thoughts for clarification. Let’s look at some basic fundamental facts based on extensive research & ongoing R&D. During fetal development a verity of biochemical agents are introduced which determine the total development of the fetus. Major agents such as testosterone & estrogen & a host of others agents determine size, weight, hair color, eye color & sexuality along with a host of other traits. Variations in the amount & timing of the introduction of these agents have a major effect in our development. The fetus is a passive participant & has no influence in these matters. Sexuality, for example, & all other secondary traits are thus given to us. Well, this begs the question, is homosexuality a sin. If your religion or belief system states that it is, then there can be no argument. These are the rules based on this system’s dogma. If you accept this system, you must accept the rules. This is your only choice which is condemnation & hatred of those who think otherwise
If, however, you are in a belief system based on logic, reason, observation & common sense, & no reliance on spirituality, the conclusion is totally different. Replacing ancient religion & mythology & superstition with reason leads to another conclusion. Leaving religions that use condemnation & ridicule for control, can be the first step in becoming a true human being minus any imposed or fabricated guilt. There exist many variations of human sexual expression. When you leave various ancient religious beliefs behind & chose knowledge based in research, you can see & understand the true nature of humanity. You leave ignorance, hatred, & prejudice behind. In the book Gay Straight & the Reason Why by Simon Levay PhD, explanations regarding this aspect of humanity are clearly explained & is based on research. While I am not gay, I highly recommend this book. Being gay is no more of a sin than having red hair. They are both based on genetics & clearly not a sin. There is nothing wrong with you. the idea that secs is SOLELY for reproduction is never mentioned in scripture. in its infancy, the church became suspicious of it and decided to affirm it only for the obvious consequences if people didn't reproduce.
furthermore, genesis 2 explains the reasons for marriage: companionship "not good to be alone", mutual support "helper", familial relationship "bone of my bone" and intimacy "one flesh". reproduction is notably absent. identical reasons are experienced by people with minority orientations.
gen 2 also gives a condition for marriage. the man saw the woman and recognized her as a suitable helper, and "therefore" they get married. now if a man is unable to recognize a woman as suitable but only another man, then for the precise same reason as in the text, he SHOULD marry the man (equivalently for a woman).
after all, there is nothing in the story to suggest two men/women would be wrong, marrying against his orientation fails to meet the stated condition and in practice doesn't work, and staying single if he experiences the need for companionship contradicts God who said "it's not good".

Hello, I think Christopher will cover your topic and provide a reply in upcoming videos. Here is a preview: You are referring to celibacy. Firstable, we are all called to be chase: to use our sexuality properly and within the context of our single or married life. Secondly, some people are called to be celibate (no sexual relationships). And that is ok. We can all live without engaging in sexual activities and God will provide the strength if called to be celibate. You do not need to become a priest or nun as a means to make sense of celibacy. The ordained people have a special calling from God. But, if you are being called by God to be celibate and not ordained, then, I invite you to look into the consecrated life. Your vocation is a great inspiration for us who struggle in marriage life because monogamy and custody of the eyes are hard to do. Please pray for me.

@@RaulRamirez-nx5sb I often hear the expression (and the USCCB uses this expression as well), that single people are to "live their sexuality with Godly joy." But what joy can be had in something you basically can't have? I'm really trying to understand this. How does one "live" something that you're supposed to shy away from and avoid? It's like saying "we want you to go enjoy the beautiful beach, it's beautiful and it's a gift of God for you to glory Him in... but just don't go to the beach, don't go near the beach, don't look at it, and don't think about it at all, ever, under any circumstances. Act as though the beach doesn't exist, and don't glory God in it..." Either you want us to enjoy the beach or not. It's a contradiction I'm struggling to understand. I want to understand it. I want to be able to glory God, but what is it I'm glorying him for if it's something bad?

The fact that you are able to admire the human body because of its beauty and perfectness, is sexy. Being attracted to some one's hair, eyes, neck or other features ( other than male/female sole features) is sexy. Standing in awe when looking at couples dancing cha cha, figure skating, or singing as a duet is sexy. Watching old married couples just holding hands or sharing a hug is sexy. Do not be afraid to embrace your sexuality, please do not equate it with lust or as a recreational activity. true If you are wondering about the question of whether your sexuality is a sin or not, I welcome you to consider the following thoughts for clarification.
The Bible nowhere addresses same-sex marriage.
There are seven texts often cited by Christians to condemn homosexuality: Noah and Ham (Genesis 9:20-27), Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:1-11), Levitical laws condemning same-sex relationships (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13), two words in two Second Testament vice lists (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 1 Timothy 1:10), and Paul's letter to the Romans (Romans 1:26-27). These do not refer to homosexual relationships between two free, adult, and loving individuals. They describe rape or attempted rape (Genesis 9:20-27, 19:1-11), cultic prostitution (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13), male prostitution and pederasty (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 1 Timothy 1:10), and the Isis cult in Rome (Romans 1:26-27). If the biblical authors did assume homosexuality was evil, we do not theologize off of their cultural assumptions, we theologize off of the texts we have in the canon.

A excellent book If you are gay or know someone who is, this is important information! Sexual orientation is determined in the womb during fetus development. Various hormones are introduced at specific times to accomplish this. The fetus plays no part in this process. A person is born with predetermined physical, biological & psychologic features. It is, therefore, not a choice & consequently not a sin & not immoral. It is a natural path of our evolution & found commonplace in nature. Medical research in this area clearly explains this process. Those who believe it is an abomination do so based not on facts but on religious authority. It is their right to believe this and I understand them. It must be made clear however, it is based on religion not science. If you are truly interested in the truth based on knowledge, the book Gay, Straight & the Reason Why by Dr. Simon Levay explains this with numerous research articles. If you want to understand the truth & have respect for others & yourself, this book will help. It also has, unlike the bible written over 2000 years ago by men that had no understanding of science, an extensive bibliography. I strongly recommend the book. If you chose to respond to me, please read this book &/or the numerous articles referred to in the reference section before hand. The public must be exposed to facts & knowledge. It is an obligation for those who know the truth & must defend it. Don’t let the religious pull you down to their level of ignorance. Peace

Ive tried everything to not be that way and would go to church everyday for a week to."pray the gay away" nothing worked. Oh dear God i tried. So, after all that mental trauma. Ive concluded that God really does make use this way, and i even found facts in nature that have the same sex attraction. Why would God do this? I asked myself. Why me whats my purpose? I say this to everyone who is struggling. Embrace who you are. I living example that God made you the way he did. Even after all of the teachings. God also wants you not to suffer, and if you suffer you will have malice intent. So, dont go seeking for heterosexual love eternity that will never happen. However, i do think sexuality is actually a spectrum, rather than a straight line. I believe God put us here to remind people what Love is and keep the truth and the love together. Moreover, opposite sexual partners seem to forget " truth and love". I believe we are here to make the world a better place, from it malice and devilious doings.
All i say it, dont pay that much attention to the bible, but rather the church, because the bible is a contradiction and unreliable. However, some of it is true, i believe some of it was written by harmful human.

@@dan69052 A natural path of our evolution? If so, what is the telos: the aim, end goal, and purpose of it? The same can be asked about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It's estimated that genetic factors contribute 40-80% of ASD risk, besides other factors such as parental age and birth complications. Can you think of a universal purpose or goal (final cause)? Anyway, the development of the fetus is about nine months, during which time various biological, physiological, and psychological predeterminants may accidentally take root - and not by intentional design, whether it be from God or, for the atheist, the mind of mother nature, at the point of conception. So, what Dr. Levay proposes only confirms what has been revealed to us by God in Scripture through His Church that we live in an imperfect and fallen world in urgent need of restoration. It isn't a sin or immoral to be homosexual, but the sin does lie in engaging in homosexual acts and, of course, in being proud of it. There is no purpose for it other than gratifying one's own disordered passions and desires. Homosexual unions are not pro-life but sterile. Perhaps, we shouldn't treat children or find a cure for them to be rid of ASD, since their disability is naturally preconditioned before birth and is no fault of their own. It's thus okay to be autistic; so accept who you are and be proud of it. This is the message PM Justin Trudeau is sending to children who are suffering from gender dysphoria. His corrupt government recently passed Bill C-14 that in part has criminalized all forms of gender dysphoria therapy in medical practice. Science says there are two genders or sexes: Male and Female. But, religion infallibly said it first. It's in the Bible. The non-binary spectrum is the product of human imagination and rationalization which also reveals itself to be in a defective state.

I've been diving into the latest science about how gender works. Unfortunately, biologically it's not as simple as male and female. A lot of things can go awry during pregnancy, especially the amount and type of hormones the fetus is exposed to. Then you have people who are born Intersex. Intersex is a group of conditions in which there is a discrepancy between the external genitals and the internal genitals (the testes and ovaries). The older term for this condition is hermaphroditism. For many years (before DNA testing), most doctors wouldn't tell the parents that their newborn had unclear genitals. They just arbitrarily decided which genitals would be most useful and attractive and surgically made the newborn that gender. What do you say to that person (now an adult) who has ovaries and uterus, but who was surgically given male genitalia? That's just scratching the surface.

Great presentation !!!! read on If you are wondering about the question of whether your sexuality is a sin or not, I welcome you to consider the following thoughts for clarification.
I don’t have time to read a book like that.
Let’s say I accept that homosexuality is determined in the womb, which is to say the person didn’t choose their attraction. So what, the Catholic faith doesn’t purport to say the person themselves is an abomination for something they didn’t choose; in this way they are morally no different from people born with a mental disorder. However it is the homosexual act itself which is by definition unnatural and disordered, since it fails to respect the proper order of sex. A penis is ordered toward delivering sperm, and sperm is ordered toward fertilizing an egg for reproduction. To be a bit graphic, whatever homosexual partners engage in, I hesitate to call it sex since it is really just genital stimulation, using the anus/mouth/hand/etc to simulate what a female’s vagina feels like. It’s an abuse of the gift of sex.
I do think at least some same-sex attracted people are that way through trauma in childhood, such as being sexually abused, having abusive parents, lacking a parent in the home, missing out on building friendship with their peers, and sometimes outright grooming or social media influence. I think Jason Evert has a story about one SSA man’s testimony where he realized he wasn’t homo-sexual but homo-emotional because he lacked the masculine love his father never gave him as a child.
Nevertheless, science cannot touch on a matter of what’s sin or not. Again, the sin is in the action, not the attraction. The solution is the virtue of chastity, recognizing and willing the proper order of sex as it was given to us.

Genetics is a major but not the only contributor, possibly mother's hormones in the womb, apart from that it's unknown. Culture and upbringing can affect behaviour but not underlying orientation.
Regardless of cause, a human being does not choose who they're attracted to. But most people have needs - God himself said "it is not good for the human being to be alone" - that they can only meet through one with whom they share mutual attraction. Preventing people from satisfying God-given needs puts you at odds with God himself, not a good idea.
To argue because secs is for reproduction then it must always be reproductive is a ludicrous medieval invention that is neither in scripture nor stands the slightest scrutiny. Men and women regularly enjoy and benefit from non-reproductive secs. So do men with men and women with women.
You can't unilaterally change the meaning of a word just because it doesn't fit your preferred ideology and demand everyone go along with it. If you want to call it something else, invent a term (FYI a term already exists, so-do-my), then get agreement from the majority of human beings on the planet.

There are some questions that I think are being forgotten. For centuries, marriage was not forcefully a question of love. People had to marry unless they went to religious life. We can see that in many european palaces and museum houses where famous people lived: husband and wife rooms were 2 and separated. People were conscient that no affection could be forced. If love happened, perfect. If not, there would be at least a marriage. Many of these questions will remain forever as in the 1960's ideas about sex made it separated from its function to be cultivated most of the times as a simple pleasure. It was just a question of time so that gay people started to reclaim for them the same right. In fact, why wouldn't that happen? Second: we should not forget that these movements of sexual liberation, among others, may have other less obvious political aims. What made many world leaders suddenly so concerned about sex liberation? Hmmmm... I have serious doubts.

I am Catholic and I’ve been divorced twice. Once I had it annulled. My first ex lied and said he was Catholic. Since I was 5, I wanted to be Catholic. My family of Protestants laughed at me. I wanted to be a nun at 5. I messed up and went with my plan. I didn’t realize He made me infertile to let me be a nun. I kept begging Him for children and he opened my womb at 27. I divorced my second husband this year for abusing my children. Now I ask God for forgiveness for not only choosing the wrong path, but choosing the wrong men. I was called to be a nun. I still have the urge to be a nun. But I have dependent children. And since my ex has gone far astray, the kids need the example from someone in their lives, so I’ve chosen one last man. I have not married him in the traditional sense but he’s willing, as a Protestant, to help me raise my kids (for the time we have them), Catholic. And when he messed up, he took the rosary and cried over it. We’ll see how this ends up. He messed up by picking up his previous sins behind my back. No need to go further. He made mistakes, as I have. He repented of them and maybe, just maybe, when the kids are raised he’ll finally be where he should have been the whole time. God’s church.

You change the language but you never change the overall meaning. Just have the balls to come out and say it. The Catholic Church Hates Gay people and thinks we’re all going to Hell. It’s in you’re doctrine, the catechism states: “Homosexuality is a grave and moral sin.” You can say “well it’s just your cross to bare” or, “Hate the sin but love the sinner” But we all know what you actually think. Until you change the rule you’ll continue to be a dying institution and fade away. Inclusivity’s the way of the future. Get with it. Or don’t. It’s your choice.

The Catholic position is we should love everyone. Presumably we are to love those even who are in hell -- people go to hell because they CHOOSE to be there, presumably it doesn't mean they don't have worth as God's creations. So even if we believe someone is in danger of going to hell, this is no reason not to love them. That is inauthentic Christianity. re: "But we all know what you actually think", Any Catholic who hates anyone is not living out their faith. This I can say with certainty. I can also say that if any dogma of the Catholic Church were to go against actual love then it should be thrown out. And if it turns out that a dogma of the Church goes against love, then the Catholic Church would be wrong. There is no justification as a Christian to hate anyone, ever, and I'm sorry for anyone who has given you the wrong idea.

I would agree with you that hatred is a doctrine contrary to Christianity, scripture says as much.
But that does not change the fact that it is very common amongst real and professed Christians.
You can easily see the the hypocrisy of emphasis on this issue over others, and the sheer glee people express at the suffering of Queer people.
I would also agree with you that there is no legitimate restriction on love. Galatians 5:23 “
against such things there is no law”, but that leaves us in a weird position because the Catholic Church has attempted to create them anyways.
I’ve heard some rather idiotic and hateful arguments that Queer people are incapable of love or that they mindlessly driven by lust, but a brief moment of reflection shows that that’s not the case.
The Catholic church already has some weird and unbiblical ideas about sex in my opinion so it’s no surprise that Queer people are caught up in that too.
But still, Catholics and other Christians wholesale reject the idea of Queer relationships, whether or not they are sexual.
Homosexuality isn’t even condemned in scripture but even in the application of the states values of the Catholic church I don’t see any consistency.

The idea that chastity and celibacy only apply to non-straight couples and the conflation of chastity and celibacy with holiness are really some of the most nonsensical, idiotic and bizarre ideas that Christians and others entertain in their minds. It’s just pure madness. Having a loving partner in life is completely natural and normal. Forced celibacy and chastity just for same sex couples is grossly unnatural, abnormal and dangerous! It’s not accidental that so many unmarried or unpartnered clerics and monastics are child sex abusers and perverts. It goes with the territory! People really need to wake to where this dangerous mindset and teaching leads! Religious people routinely enjoy filling their heads with these bizarre and unnatural notions and remain completely oblivious and blind to the dark reality. I am sorry but it is simply not the case that lifelong chastity and celibacy is spiritually enhancing or morally superior. This is a dangerous myth. Those that promote this myth are really complicit in promoting a form of evil. Those that promote evil ARE evil! These lunatics then have the audacity to judge and condemn those that refuse to comply with their lunatic ideas as bad and evil themselves. Perhaps these religious fanatics and zealots should start looking in the mirror first themselves before they have the audacity to condemn others. Even that great fraud and scoundrel St Paul who did more to pervert and destroy the Christianity of Jesus more than any church figure in the history of the church acknowledged and recognised that celibacy was not by any means for everyone. Those that wish to indulge their religious narcissistic moral superiority complexes by condemning loving same sex couples as sinful are all characterised by: low empathy, an absence of critical thinking abilities, black and white thinking usually centred around ideologically motivated ideas around biblical authority and infallibility, a failure to conduct any in depth exegesis and a whole host of other failings and vices. Good sane people run from these people because they do not have your best interests at heart and do not speak the truth about things. Want good exegesis? Go check out Jennifer Bird phd

The Church doesn't hate anyone. It leaves that to its members, who are experts. I think your narrative provides an accurate vision of human sexuality and its ideal. But the lived reality of the church is different: able to readily embrace the divorced and remarried, smoothing out the path with annulments, so ready to be flexible with the explicit word of Christ on the matter, whilst sharpening the knives for those unfortunate enough to have grown up with same sex attractions, something of which Christ never spoke. What will you (the members of the Church) do with them? You would prefer they would just have the good manners to hide themselves away, maybe leave the church, (some of them suicide). You don't want to wrestle with the ambiguities of their condition. As someone, Catholic, with same sex attraction, but who has remained celibate all my life, I have, apart from the rare hidden living saint in the Church, found the genuine friendship, support, compassion and human kindness I have known from agnostics and atheists, unsullied by the self-serving advice of Job's friends. They wonder at my attachment to the Church. I admit I do too. But I long to find my place there somehow... The Truth is more than words, and far more than being right...

The imply that a person's individual actions can make the difference between salvation and damnation is to imply either that God's grace is insufficient for all of our sins, or that one can achieve salvation through human effort, possibly both.
These are respectively called the heresy of insufficient grace and the heresy of works.
Regardless of what sin we are talking about, by prioritizing behavioral changes that at best moves salvation down the list of priorities, delaying the thing that will actually help people.
And in many cases the value of grace is not simply delayed it is ignored, and by focusing on forcing other people to change we actually chase people away from God and grace.
You can almost never change human behavior by lecturing people, it's just as likely that you'll make them dig in their heels and become more resistant to change.
But if Christians show themselves to be nasty, judgmental sticklers, then people(quite rightly in my opinion) will want nothing to do with them.
Worse if people are cruel, as many Christian have been.
I don't think morality is different based on your sex, so I don't believe homosexuality is wrong.
But even if it is, I'd much rather have a gay person saved by the grace of God than someone trying to be straight while far from actual salvation.
In my experience the focus on homosexuality is disproportionate to Christian reactions on other sins, not because people believe that it's worse or because they are genuinely concerned about Queer people, but because they themselves are shocked and scared of it.
It may not be a common subject of discussion anymore, but Christians around the world watched the AIDS Crisis unfold, many celebrating it, others merely condoning it.
I don't think that was out of concern for Queer people, I think it was because they thought it was the quickest and easiest way for them to never have to deal with gay people again. Hundreds of thousands of deaths later and here we are.
Most of the time, anymore when people talk about homophobia they're talking about prejudice not fear; but I really believe that a lot of people are afraid of Queer people.
Whether it's because of how Queer people change society or because of what they've built Queer people up to be in their heads, I don't know.
But in many cases, people aren't passionate about this issue because they are earnestly concerned about the good of Queer people.

If I were to tell you the brutal truth, then my experience would seem to indicate that most anti-gay Christians want Queer people to disappear.
If you marry a woman, they can ignore your orientation as long as you don't talk about it. If you're openly a Queer celibate they might in theory approve but it's still a downgraded status.
So as best as I can tell your options are to keep it a secret or become comfortable with a certain level of disapproval.
That seems to be the case whether you have sex(with either sex) or become celibate.
Most any congregation who cares enough to disapprove of homosexuality is going to disapprove of Queer celibates too, if only quietly.
Because usually, again in my experience, they're not actually that concerned with sin, or your spiritual well-being. They're just uneasy with the difference that Queer people represent.
And if I were to get up on my soapbox for a moment, I'd tell you that this man is a kook with no credibility, Love is not a sin and that morality isn't sexist.

Our spiritual values are meant to reduce harm, not catalyze it. To embrace all people with compassion. I have to believe there's a way to uphold your beliefs while promoting dignity and saving lives. great statement read on If you are wondering about the question of whether your sexuality is a sin or not, I welcome you to consider the following thoughts for clarification.
Yes. It's true we were made male and female... But I think that homophobicness is also a sin... It's the reason why male kills other male for a female... Because of lack of affection to the same sex... If I'm gay and I need a hug from another man whom I like, that should be given generously instead of falling into selfishness... It's not all about sex... It's one act of being a family... If I see God and I find him handsome, and I tell him his handsome... I believe he will be pleased because it's a compliment... And of course I have a lot of argument that can't be contained by one comment... I need to refine them and hopefully be a youtuber to defend myself... True, the Church does not hate gay people any more than it hates anyone else it believes is going to hell. It loves them all. It does teach gay people to not love and accept themselves for who they are, and to not act accordingly. The Church manages to come off as innocent; gay people come out of their experience with the Church broken in mind and spirit.
Gay love desires the beloved's true good. It does not approve of anything and everything a person might do.
Gay love is to live the truth of our humanity. Homophobia refuses to recognize the truth of our humanity.
Gay love is often generative of new life either in the form of children and/or in the form of societal enrichment.
This 21st century historical moment in the Church is another one of those Church vis-a-vis science moments. There was Galileo in the 17th century who challenged the Church's astronomy belief that the sun, moon and stars revolve around the earth. There was Darwin in the 19th century who challenged the Church's creation belief as to the origin of species. Today there is the science of psychology in the 21st century which challenges the Church's sexual orientation beliefs. Sexual orientation is not a choice, is therefore not a sin, it is simply something that exists. The Church likes to tell gay people that they are loved BUT to not act in accordance with who they are. Which is telling them to hide who they really are and just "put on an act." That message is injurious: just observe all the gay people around you whose took that message to heart and whose lives have been broken as a result.

@@nathanp.claiborne8276 In the times of Copernicus and Galileo (15th - 17th centuries), the Catholic Church believed it was a matter of faith that the universe revolves around the Earth. The Scriptures state clearly that the sun rises and sets (Psalm 113:3); the Scriptures even say the Lord made the sun stand still for Joshua (Joshua 10:12-14).
Copernicus and Galileo were introducing something new: the physical sciences. Just look and say what you see. But the Church considered any physical observations that seemed to contradict the Scriptures to be intrinsically erroneous. Galileo was put on trial for heresy for proposing a heliocentric solar system and moons that revolved around planets other than Earth. He was found guilty, sentenced to house arrest, forbidden to advance his science, and made to pray the seven penitential psalms every day for the rest of his life.
The Church had a similarly rough time with Darwinian evolution in the 19th century.
Today the Church is having a rough time with psychology. Psychology, it should be noted, is a branch of philosophy, a metaphysical science, not a physical science. The metaphysical sciences of philosophy, theology and psychology are not provable in the same way that the physical sciences are provable, yet they deserve recognition and respect. St. Thomas Aquinas used Aristotelian philosophy to illuminate Christian belief in his time. Wise people today will use psychology to illuminate Christian belief in our time.

Homosexual attractions are not sinful unless acted out. The same is true for all sins of the flesh. The World, and its ruler Satan, embraces all sinful acts enticing all the children of God to do the same at the expense of their salvation.

Sounds like you're trying to sugar-coat an intolerable traditional belief. The idea that secs is solely for reproduction is not found in scripture. It was invented by the church a long time ago and they can't seem to admit it was an error without compromising their authority.
Seeing variations in secs orientation as the result of human sin is unfounded. It's a hypothesis to explain the dilemma between the church's position and the impossible situation it puts people in. But there's no support for the hypothesis. Another plausible hypothesis is that same-secs attraction is part of the rich diversity in God's creation. Scripture tells us God gives different gifts to different people 1 Cor 7.7.
You refer to Genesis 2, but it fails to support you. The stated reasons for marriage are companionship "not good to be alone", mutual support "helper", familial relationship "bone of my bone" and intimacy "one flesh". reproduction is notably absent. Furthermore, identical reasons are experienced by people with same-secs orientation, so what do they do?
It gives the answer. What is the stated condition for marriage? The man saw the woman and recognized her as suitable; "therefore" they get married. Now if because of his orientation a man is incapable of recognizing a woman as suitable but only another man, then for the very same reason, he SHOULD marry the man. Equivalently for a woman.
After all, there is nothing in the story to suggest it would be wrong for two men/women to be married, marrying against one's orientation fails to meet the stated condition and in practice often fails, and staying single while experiences the need for companionship contradicts God's assertion that "it's not good".

Various hormones are introduced at specific times to accomplish this. The fetus plays no part in this process. A person is born with predetermined physical, biological & psychologic features. DO You Know Jesus Christ?
    The Only Saviour
He said his name is IAM
The Good News to Our Sin Problem Cause We’re ALL Sinners and Need the Lord Jesus Christ to Forgive us our Sins
    Romans 3:25-27
    For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
    Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
What does it take to be Forgiven?
Faith Alone in the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ to Forgive your Sins through His blood (By believing in this you have become a new creation in Christ, and have a promise you’ll be with the Lord in your death, but also have the Holy Spirit living in you forever as a guide for you)
    1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV
    15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
    Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
    Romans 10:9-11 KJV
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
    Romans 4:24-25 KJV
    But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
(Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose again according to the scriptures) By having faith in that alone you are sealed with the Holy Spirit forever and SAVED from the moment of faith for Eternity.
What if I continue to Sin?
What if I stop having Faith?
What if 5 years after being saved I have an affair?
What if I aborted my child?
    What about suicide?
When you first had faith in Christ in your heart you were sealed and justified from that day forward, no matter what you do or don’t do our Lord has saved your soul and made you a new creation. Eternal Security (100% Going to Heaven)
This is isn’t a license to sin, it’s a realization that God gave you the best gift ever by saving your soul from hell.
Your old habits of sin go away over time when you walk with the Lord. No one is perfect, that’s why Jesus had to Justify (Impute righteousness) us through his righteousness by the blood. So don’t be discouraged you will grow and your old habits will shed away over time. You will always have struggles but God always remains faithful.
Loving people is what the Lord wants us to do, so I would encourage everyone to minister the Gospel and be an example of Gods power through the renewing of your mind on Gods Word. When we listen to people speak and show them love God will shine through us. The “small” things in life like a smile, a hug, a great attitude, a conversation with a stranger, an encouraging word, cooking dinner for someone in need, loving your parents, and having a heart for people as Christians should have.
I’m looking forward to that day when we meet the Lord and all the Christians in the clouds at the Rapture. Our time on earth is running out so lets spread the gospel in love.
    Titus 3:8 KJV
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
    Galatians 3:23-25 KJV
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
( We’re not under the law so no longer under the curse of sin cause we’re Justified by Jesus through Faith Alone)
    Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
    Titus 3:5 KJV
    5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
    6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
    Romans 8:15 KJV
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
When you believe in you heart on the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ (The Finished Works/Blood) you are saved brothers and sisters for all of eternity (Eternal Security is Yours)
    Romans 8:38-39 KJV
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
    Galatians 1:11-12 KJV
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
The Gospel of Grace is for You
Nothing can ever take you away from our
Lord Jesus Christ when you first believe in your heart.
    NOTHING
    NOT YOUR FUTURE PRIDE
    NOT YOUR PRESENT LUST
    NOT YOUR FUTURE LUST
    NOTHING MEANS NOTHING
GOD WILL REMAIN FAITHFUL TO YOU
When I learned I was sealed with the Holy Spirit (Eternal Security) I was so happy, because my whole life (30 years of it) I believed a lie that I could lose my salvation by my bad works. Cause of that belief I walked away from the Lord for many years, “so what’s the point if I can’t measure up”. I ran to alcohol, drugs, woman etc, and it made me so depressed. I was longing to fill the hole in my heart that I came to realize only God can fill. Many years went by, then the last day I drank came, and I called out to God and balled my eyes out. From that day I started changing, and I haven’t drunk since. God has helped me through many emotional issues, has made my relationships much better, and if the Lord can save me, I know He can save you.
Now that I have proper understanding, and realize the truth of His love it makes me want to do more for God. God wants us to do Good works and by our example people will see Christ and potentially come to believe.
God wants All men and woman to be saved
I pray this helps You or Someone Else get a little closer to Jesus Christ and get clarity on Gods Word and the power that it has to change your life.
    God Bless You

Concerning civil unions for homosexuals, one Catholic official stated: "The legal recognition of homosexual unions or placing them on the same level as marriage would mean not only the approval of deviant behavior." Can you imagine that? By his support of gay civil unions, Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church, approves of deviant [sexual] behavior. This is only one aspect of the morally corrupt Catholic Church.
BTW, I wonder if Pope Francis has ever attended Gay Pride Month activities.

acceptence not hate If you are gay or know someone who is, this is important information! Peace

If you are wondering about the question of whether your sexuality is a sin or not, I welcome you to consider the following thoughts for clarification.
This is the true choice. Peace

Thank you for giving me another reason to remain an athiest. I could listen to you or I could go and read a biology book on human sexuality. Sexuality among mammals is fluid. There are gay mammals etc. The catholic church accepts evolution, so I've heard, and we are mammals. Human sexuality is natural and normal. Your idea of god creating man and woman as eternal heterosexuals is fantasy. So, there's probably no god (of the catholic persuasion).
I'll sit back and wait as the church, slowly but surely, accepts gay sexuality, gay priests, female priests etc.

But I have studied human sexuality and had my views reinforced, as homosexuality seems to be caused by complications in the womb, or by events in childhood, it really seems to me that it, depending on cause, is either a hormonal or mental disorder. I don’t mean this as an insult by any means, disorders aren’t something to be ashamed of, I myself have autism so I’m definitely not using disorder as an insult. But it does seem to me that associations just refuse to classify it as such because they don’t want to offend anyone. Please don’t take this as hatred towards homosexuals because I promise you I have none, I just wanted to enter the discussion with my own experience, God bless!

What characterises a hormonal change in the womb as abnormal or disordered? Life and evolution are based around mutation and variation in living beings, it’s how species and communities are able to survive. Even if you want to look at it from a purely “natural”, animalistic perspective, stating that the purpose of living beings is to procreate, many lgbtq+ creatures throughout the animal kingdom have displayed a great benefit in its communities of gay couples. Penguins are a known species that pair for life and will generally only bear one child at a time. If their partner dies they will not re-partner and will either die of starvation whilst protecting the child or the child will die of exposure while they are out hunting. In numerous instances gay penguins have been known to adopt abandoned eggs or support single parents in these situations. This is just one example

Good luck with that one. Have fun explaining that to your grandkids. They’ll probably relent on that one though in a couple decades, and act as if it was always the church’s policy through some wordplay loophole that won’t even impress the lawyerly among us. And then when women are accepted it’ll be another couple decades before they decide lgbtq people deserve what straight people do. 😂
