Why did God give us bodies? As John Paul II wrote in his Theology of the Body, “The body, in fact, and only the body, is capable of making visible the invisible: the spiritual and the Divine.”
God gave us bodies to make visible His own invisible mystery. This is a Mega Mystery! And as Saint Paul directs us in Ephesians 5, “It refers to Christ and the Church.”
