- And I looked, and behold a pale, hoarse Picard: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

RLM's Star Trek: Picard Season 2, Episode 1 re:View : • Star Trek: Picard Seas... - Krátké a kreslené filmy
“I feel like I’m on a roller coaster into my own grave.”
"But wait, there arent any handle bars"
Robot in the Family.
It’s Mike’s Wild Ride!
Rich has undone years of friendship and fond memories by subjecting Mike to Picard
I've hardly watched any star trek but i still feel deeply for Mike and Rich. In a way, it prepares me to have all the things i grew up loving being completely altered and changed. In a sense its really a healthy reminder of the transience of things
Prepare? What did you grow up with that was untouched by remake and reboots ? Columbo ?
Untalented people love rubbing their grubby hands all over something successful because they want to make easy money off the nostalgia of stuff they personally don't care about, and all they do is cake it in mud and shit.
This will 100% happen to everything you love.
I'm 36, I look back on all my favorite childhood things, TMNT, Ghostbusters, Terminator, Warcraft, Diablo, whatever, it doesn't matter. Every single one of those things has been sodomized by a bunch of hacks.
Calvin and Hobbes. Bill Watterson turned down all the money in the world and it remains beautiful and forever.
@@vigourinc5297 I remember as a child being very upset that he never syndicated the series (I was a weird 6th grader) because of all the merchandising I would have enjoyed as a child in the 2000s.
As an adult, I realize his integrity was insurmountable. My Calvin and Hobbes is not the same as another persons because the characters can forever be individualized.
@@BradsGonnaPlay 💯 and the same could be said for The Far Side, but not that ******* pos sellout Garfield. 'Tegrity is almost dead.
"Hell is modern Star Trek." -a famous dead philosopher
i legit felt pretty bad for mike when he was like "i can never watch star trek again". genuinely wounded animal. made me feel kinda weird for laughing about his misery in the past
they truly suffer, for our pleasure.
Sometimes I feel like “well it’s just media, how bad can it be?”
Then I remember he dedicated his life to this field because of a bygone era just to watch it be ripped apart in front of him. The western world accepted that “objective critique doesn’t exist so everything is good and Disney owns everything so that must also be good” and that’s 100% the result of manufactured consent.
You reached into the shadowy mire of my soul, pulled out the dark seed of my discontent and placed it on a silver platter for children to laugh and point at.
Like, if you could put how it feels when a soul dies into video format, this is it.
RIP Star Trek. You will be missed.
If I never watched this video I probably would have lived my life without hearing Never Too Endless. It's such a good song, I've been listening to it constantly. Thank you plumwax.
This is the only way I can listen to that song now.
Never Too Endless - czcams.com/video/xXPLu2j3lc8/video.html
Who does it
Honestly love these red letter media videos, thank you so much.
This brought my mood down to a depressing stupor I wont be able to explain to my nearby family.
Yes it is a great video I agree
This made me unironically cry
Never thought of being a fan of star trek but I can still understand how it must be like seeing this thing you love kill itself.
Butterfly tears?
Never seen Star Trek (movies, episodes, etc) but I can't imagine watching something so beloved becoming corrupted and twisted beyond recognition because of the creative direction the series has taken. Makes me glad I never invested time and effort into that series.
one of the most profoundly sad things i've ever encountered that wasn't actually something bad happening to somebody. i guess it is something bad happening to somebody (for instance: william shatner shitting on him for years)
no idea why this doesn't have as many views as the Jay video, it's right up there with Mike Stoklasa: A Star Wars Story
Holy shit this is art! And a more cohesive storyline than almost anything post 2014
You just keep hitting the homeruns Plumwax!
High art
The end of an era
An end of many eras
The song is genuinely great😃❤
Sad yet beautiful, a poem in visual form, truly this is the Rich Evans of CZcams videos.
I don't think RLM will have any grounds to bitch about stolen content with this one. Good work, OP.
Wait, they did that before?
*starts watching* Lol Mike is silly
*finished watches* …*clears throat*, got a little close to home ngl
It feels great.
THE POWER OF MATH, PEOPLE kills me every time.
I love you Mike Stoklasa❤
Plumwax wherever you are thank you for this. Season 3 is out and is better but this really showed us the dark times that was cbs all access. Never replayed something as much as this.
another amazing video plumwax
we all died in Y2K rest is just our time caching up to us.
7 of 9 and Picard never met in canon. there is no reason they should be besties in any show. in any timeline.
Shut up nerd
Picard got married to Beverley and is enjoying his retirement in his vineyard. Seven is living by Anneka Hansen and working as head of the Daystrom Institute or something.
Hey plumwax, you're the best, thank you.
I love you, Plumwax.
Beautiful, art in it's purest form. Star Trek will return, it'll be back sooner than we feel like Benjamin Sisko trapped in the wormhole.
Glad to see another upload my guy. I really wish they would continue talking about TNG... I genuinely like seeing them happy.
Was hoping they’d do DS9/Voyager too, maybe have saved sanity if did instead of “nutrek” lol
Oh that Mike in the little cart. You see that and you just know what this is about
Everything that lives must die. Nothing is forever...
No one’s ever really gone
I ended up buying Polly Scattergood's album on vinyl because of this video, lol
This beats out the ending experience of 2001 A Space Odyssey by a country mile!
A fitting funeral for Mikes love of Trek
This. This is art
The truest pain.
If this somehow would be the ending video for RLM, this would be perfect.
What are you guys talking about ? Star Trek: Galaxy was great!
I had only ever watched the new Star Trek movies, but I watched Wrath of Khan recently, and I think I'm starting to understand why they say NuTrek sucks. I think Beyond was the most enjoyable, but Wrath of Khan is legitimately a good movie. Into Darkness is like Psycho (1998) and Wrath of Khan is like Psycho (1968), just without it being a shot for shot remake. It's more like beat for beat, just with a worse sound, like when a band covers a song and tries to make it their own, but it just doesn't work as well.
Not just that it “sucks” (plenty of it IS lazy writing and over use of CGI to replace substance, but is some quality to it over all) more than its NOT Star Trek.
They said this years ago and I still think most accurate summary of a lot of “new” content from old franchises. Just call it something else, let it be own thing, but systemically mining nostalgia with zero effort to preserve what made it nostalgic to begin with, and that’s why “Nutrek” is a sin.
WoK is indeed a well crafted movie. Into Darkness is just slock, which isn't a problem by itself, because while lazy it isn't necessary bad slock. But had the problem that it had the self-destructing need to constantly remind us we could have been watching the good movie all the time. I really lost my cool at the Kirk kicking space mcGuffing reactor, where every kick felt like kicking me in the head, hammering how it had zero intention to recreate or even understand what made WoK a good movie. The rest of the movie was just infuriating to go trough.
Star Trek: Stage 1 Cancer in theaters soon!
This is ART.
Watching this right before bed is probably gonna give me weird dreams but oh well.
He's thinking of ending things
Hes thinking of all good things
Oh my God.
Amazing. Crème de la crème.
I can't believe I missed this one. Brilliant editing.
Thanks for the catharsis ❤🩹
We absolutely need Mike to see this...
where art thou, Plumwax?
it seems like every video of yours i've seen has RLM feels and an amazing song i've never heard of. Just starting down the rabbit hole after watching the star wars video multiple years ago.
Moral of the story is if you like a video or song, check out the channel/artist.
I am Mike Stoklasa.
We are all Mike Stoklasa. 🖖
I'm Spartacus!
I feel bad for Mike and Rich :-[
I'm glad your back Plumwax... when I heard the fact that Mike can't watch Star Trek anymore I felt the same. I felt that its just another wonderful property that has had its soul ripped out and its body violated. Like Doctor who, Star Wars the list goes on.
It feels like that scene in Deep Space 9 where some of the main characters are looking at casualty reports in the middle of the dominion war. they just talked about if they knew anyone who died that day, it felt like such a casual affair because it is to be expected in war that you lose people.
and losing Star Trek to the insane cruel grips of woke political addenda's and the hatred they spew, well that felt like just another casualty of war.
but that's now how it feels like right now... rather its like we won some great battle and it grants us some reprieve, for only just a moment.
Just enough time to realize what we lost, it wasn't just a popular series of shows, it was a shining view of the future!
One that gave hope to people one that brought joy and laughter and excitement. and now its dead for so many of us.
this video really gave us a moment to properly grieve, to realize there is no going back! and there may not even be a way home but we have to to try regardless!
Ugh…just hit me right in feels with ds9 comparison…fuck
But ya, very cathartic video for more than a few reasons.
This reminds of a scene from Star Trek...
Never stop making videos
What’s the name of the song?
"Other Too Endless" by Polly Scattergood
Thank you so much 🙏
darude sandstorm
now you have do the happy rich and mike montage sequence edit stuff thingamabob

I'm feeling the same way Mike is with the Kenobi show. Just terrible bit of false advertising, bad framing and action scenes.
Dont get me started on the acting.
Hey plumwax! I was thinking about you, hope you are doing ok, wish you only the best.
Hey there! I am doing alright, better than I have in a long while actually. I've got some ideas for new videos, hoping to get to make them soon, though a lot of my time and energy right now are being taken up by work. Hope you are also doing okay! Cheers.
This made me want to try heroine to enjoy it even more. Instead, I’m going to bed and doing DMT for free.
For me Star trek started to die with Deep Space Nine going off the air and the end of the movies with the original cast. Today it's just a corpse stinking up the place.
Rich may have gone too far in a few places.
Season 3 is a Jesus level miracle
