It took me years to pick up another one of her books and I can laugh about it now (kind of) but I can't imagine what it would feel like on an even larger scale. I'm sorry, Mike.
That author sounds like a piece of work, but I don't think there was any misunderstanding here. I think Shatner was pissed off by Mike's initial comments of "what's a podcast" and the one about the "pet shop dudes". This entire situation is like if two people got into a minor fender bender, tried to understand what was going on, and then a bunch of random passerbys started dousing both cars in gasoline and yelled at Shatner to light a match. I love it.
Ironically enough, Mike should have mentioned that this entire video is similar to an episode of TNG, called "The Drumhead". It's basically about a retired admiral accusing an innocent crewman of a crime he didn't commit.

Shatner is a world class troll, it's pretty impressive.
This reminds me of that one episode of Best of the Worst when Rich said that very soon, one day, karma was going to hit Mike. This is it. This is the karma.
When your only youtube drama is with elderly actors from the 60's (Edit: in all honesty, hoping Mike's not taking any of this too hard; Shatner's obviously deluded)
I dunno. Renegade Cut keeps doing "Film X was Good, Actually" videos that are thinly veiled responses to RLM reviews. But Renegade Cut has like 1/10 of their subcribers so RLM has no reason to care.
Shatner's Medium essay on this affair is a straight up hit piece. He lies about the whole situation and plays the victim. Lies about this video. What a schmuck.
That Medium article forever destroyed whatever respect I had for that actor. What a vicious, ugly writeup. That he is still going on about living costs in Milwaukee and how RLM makes money off of youtube and patreon (gasp!) is just icing on the cake. It's so good to know Shatner worked for free...

Once he stole the tip the woman he was with left at Starbucks right in front of barista at the register and another time he got into a Twitter war with my coworker when she was 16 about an episode of Vampire Diaries.
I saw William Shatner at a grocery store in Los Angeles once. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
