Singing and dancing .. no autotune … that’s a true performer.
She was having such a great time on that stage.. 😊😉😍😘
And No Cell Phones!!❤
I disagree. Madonna used autotune very often, both in recordings and live performances. But I think she used it wisely and she can do it because she is professional. Very different from singers in the beginning using autotune every time they record or perform.
All that moving, dancing, and really singing...no voice-overs, no lip syncing, no tapes to fill in....this is the real deal. To sing and be winded takes strength, stamina, and training. She is basically singing while leading an aerobics class! Amazing! I loved being in my 20s in the '80's! Best decade ever for music.

A young 25 year old Madonna has the energy of 4 people. Truly inspiring.
She was 27 here. Madonna at any age has lots of energy though. 6 kids she had, that takes tons of energy to deal with. My salute to this super mom!
She was 26.

Truly a living musical legend. One day we will all look back and be amazed by her musical ability. She truly is one of a kind.
and not just musical ability, but also marketing ability. Cyndi Lauper was noticeably more talented than Madonna, and yet, Madonna made many times more $$ than CL. She gave the public exactly what they wanted: Little girls want to BE a Madonna (a beautiful woman), they don't want to be a misfit with red hair.

I remember watching this live on my Panasonic big screen television back in 1985, Madonna killed it!!! Her energy is just phenomenal!!!
It was show live via satellite
To my region.
But i watched it on a 20 inch Sylvania Black and white Television.
It cost $900 .

$900!? Wasn’t that expensive? That’s a rip off in today’s money, let alone 1985.
@@miamitten1123 i had a 55inch smart full HD flatscreen back then.
@@miamitten1123 No way man, back in the day tv's were way more expensive. Average households were paying for tv's if you include inflation around what people with money would spend now. Maybe even more. I got in a really dumb argument with my dad some years ago when I told him that 1500 euro would get him a great TV while he wanted to spend 2500 euros (euro's and dollars are worth around the same).

Agreed, I just wish everyone today could experience the blind optimism of the 80s for 30 days. Sure we had our problems but we never thought for a moment that they couldn't be overcome. There was a lot of love in the air thanks to music & art.
It was a special decade. Madonna, Prince, Michael, New Wave, the begining of dance music.. Even Rock was cooler that time with Bon Jovi..Good Times. Awesome times..

I love this song, her very first big hit! I taught aerobics to this, got my college degree, married the LOVE OF MY LIFE, all in the mid eighties! I married the most handsome, sexy, sweet man that God ever lut on this earth in 1985. He passed away from cancer, a brain tumor. In March of 2012. For us, new generations, it feels so fantastic and inspiring to have the priceless oportunity to see a young Madonna full of power and passion teaching us how an artist must behave on stage. Almost 40 years later since this performance, she still continues giving us lessons in every act of her. Long live the queen. 💛
Her confidence is off the charts and was what made her so attractive as an artist. Back in 84, as a 12-year old. I was crazy about „Holiday“, still all those years later a great, catchy song.

Well sorry to bring up this, but when talking to the crowd later about the hot weather and her being slightly overdressed for the occasion, She said "I ain't taking shit off today...they might hold it against me 10 years from now" That was a direct reference to the Playboy and Penthouse magazine nude pictures of her that was released right around the time of Live-Aid.

@Moishie Exactly...
People's biggest problem with Madonna looking at it from the viewpoint of someone who grew up during the Confessions On A Dancefloor Era is she had the audacity.
Madonna had the balls to be confident and I think that rubbed people the wrong way.

Not to knock her talent because shes an incredible artist, but im sure she gave her share of bjs to get her start in the biz.

@@gordon1545 Lada Gaga is the exception, not the rule. You know that most artist nowadays can't sing live without a back up track and auto tune. @@InspiredFortunes lol popularity wise 85 was her peak, at least in the US.
@@johnsonmark65 BS. She hadnt even released True Blue yet. In 1986 that album would change everything.
@@InspiredFortunes there is a reason why Like a Virgin is her best selling album in the US, also 85 is when every single teenage girl was dressing like her.
Her fanbase would have been a lot larger if she didn't completely alienate men. I lived through the 80's and I remember Madonna being very much for girls only while her main competitor in the pop music business (Michael Jackson) appealed to men and women equally, and had a much larger following as a result.
she sounds great here....especiailly moving around the way she is. Pop stars today don't even try what she's doing here with her voice.
Wow to think I was so lucky to grow up with the music that I did in the '70s and the '80s and the music now next
She's not really known for her good voice..
@@jellebigge well Madonna have a great voice !
Listen to lady Gaga who completely destroys her in that department
@@kateklein5254 What Lady Gaga's constant vocal range battle ? NO
I don't see know one rushing to buy her music and ticket concerts.
Madonna managed to be a successful singer in many music genres, starting with ballads
a song that lifts your spirit throughout your life
O começo do meteoro que veio mudar o mundo da música e alegrar nossas vidas pra sempre......te amo Madonna.❤❤❤
This makes me feel so nostalgic and I wasnt even alive back then

B S I remember watching Live Aid on MTV. The world was blown away. Nothing like this had ever been presented before.
Was there more people here in Philadelphia than at Wembley in London?
@@michaelmiller1215 Wembley had around 88,000 I believe. not sure about Philly?
I was alive and watched the whole Live Aid show from the UK start to the US finish and I can say if I lived to be 200 years old it remains the single greatest rock concert of all time. nothing even comes close and never will...it was the 80's...thats all I need to say!!!
Madonna in a live performance is out of this world. In this live aid performance she raises the bar so high that it is practically impossible for any modern female singer to match the non stop dancing while singing without autotune 🔥🔥🔥. Amazing breath control. If any of these modern female singers tries this without auto tune singing and dancing nonstop and then compare this to this live performance you will then appreciate the greatness of this singer. Madonna is simply the best.
I agree totally
Came from nowhere and became the best selling solo female artist ever.
I shave.
You shave.
He/she shaves.
Sekoja brada so svoe vreme 😾🇲🇰🐺
She was a phenom, still is. Without a doubt, no one else is like Madonna, as she is an icon beyond compare. But, just as a matter of fact, Pink has a much better vocal range, and sings while performing gymnastics and acrobatics simultaneously.
Being a teenager in the 1980s was the best. I can’t believe that 1984 was 40 years ago. Doesn’t seem possible. I was 16 in 1984 and turned 17 the end of July.
O was 15 and turned 16 in 1984. I love Madonna.
Amazing song.
Massive amount of people, no guns, no hate, no stampede, just the love of music.
This concert and one on Wembley stadium, were simultaneously broadcasted on almost 95% of TV sets in the world. This is something so amazing, never achieved before, and certainly could not be achieved even close nowadays. I was living in a socialist country in eastern Europe, with only two channels, state owned, and they broadcast it live. I was 10 and watched some great live performances for the first time, no stars were doing concerts in East Europe then. Madonna’s performance is amazing, her stage presence is so mesmerizing, she was a star even then, but you could see she was becoming world famous.
I saw it at hungarian television...from Romania close to the border with a yagi antenna...
I love you Madonna, thank you for the beautiful songs you make
Cantar con potencia y bailando a la vez esos pasos que gastan energía...waooo❤ ahora entiendo porque es la reina ❤🎉🎉🎉
I love when Madonna is just singing and having fun and not trying to provoke or shock...
But she became that Madonna because she had the courage to provoke and shock, not only a (one more) singer who wanted to sing
She was laying a bit low in ‘85 since those famous nude photos of hers surfaced. I remember that someone (in the crowd I think) yelled something to her along the lines of “Take something off!” and she said “I ain’t taking sh/t off!” 🤣
Yeau, a kooky bad-girl having fun. She looks human. She doesn't look that human these days.
