Very helpful. Thanks. It's scary to see how much air goes underneath the car and also into the front wheel wells from the front inlet. This creates lift!
@@TimMatijow vent the radiator through the bonnet and ensure that no air going into the front of the radiator can go underneath the car. It will help a lot with high speed stability.
I wonder if the end of the roof could benefit from some vortex generators, could be nice especially with a solid rear wing. Would be super interested to see.
I suppose you could also just add on the camposites engine lid that kinda makes it a fastback. I wish there were more videos of SW20's in wind tunnels.
Would like to have seen the rear around the engine lid as the air went over the roof. Lots of banter on air flow sucking hot engine air out. Let's see if it's true. Also flow into side vents and out the engine lid. Specifically right hand side.
WOW, so happy someone finally did this and recorded it!!! lol im curious how well the airflow detatches at the rear
Would love to see with the side mirror on. And flow from roof to rear spoiler

This car also doesn't have any of the underbody platics and radiator shroud anymore. I'm working on an air dam to help with that

@@mr2australia from the man himself with the first hand knowledge!
the fact that he only does it to one side of the car makes my ocd go hard.
Super cool!!!

Check out my other wind tunnel videos. We put some on, along with an f40 style engine cover. I believe they gave 10% more rear downforce
I'm curious of next movies, subscribed channel :) I'm owner MR2 SW20 as well and as well like track days :)
pretty cool

Came here to say the same things
Curious what is the "wind speed." Nice to see the 3-d effects - I think their effect is underestimated in many 2-d studies or even other 3-d studies.
I believe this was around 30-35mph.
Any updates on performance details of the upgrades? Thanks
moarrrrr!
we need all the footage pls lol
This is great stuff! Any more video with the front splutter mounted?
*splitter
Other people in the wind tunnel took more detailed videos. If I can get those videos I'll post them
Please do post them
Were these findings summarised in a thesis/document that can be read somewhere?
Could you comment on the airflow and if the custom implementations improve performance or not? Cheers
Custom implementations as in parts tuner companies sell ? You know alot of them test their stuff in windtunnels ?
for a more accurate visualization the wheels should be spinning though
it looks like a backyard wind tunnel lol

Supposedly a faster car than the supra due to just how slippery it is in the wind.
My earphones didn’t like this
so what was the point of all this nonsense?
