Saitama is actually been super heroic really. By not reporting he isn't taking the kudos for his actions, which is partly why King was so apologetic when he realized that Saitama was the one who actually did those things. Saitama says he likes credit, but he doesn't actually go out of his way to get it other than the odd witty remark.
A lot of the problems here are credited to Saitama's fault when they're more two-sided fault. The association doesn't have very much transparency either, and much of the damage only got shoved onto Saitama because the others failed.
There's also a case to make that several other heroes function similarly, but aren't highlighted as much in the story. Seeing how Tatsumaki acts, I can only imagine she's caused more damage for the organization than Saitama has.
physically yeah, but them not having battle knowledge on characters like boros is pretty damaging...not as bad as him starting his fight with Garou risking destroying the entire planet though
At the same time, though every single, formidable threat in the monster association was either killed by Garo or Saitama. And as you said, Garo would not have gotten as powerful if not, for siatama

I like this part of the OPM story though. Saitama is the peak in terms of strength/power level. So if he was smart and had good foresight, he would be too perfect. He is lazy (at times), he has a low level of awareness, he isn't very good at communicating, or very intelligent. This helps to balance his insane level of physical power, and makes the character more interesting.
He is actually smart, but yea he is lazy, he also calculate how much force he puts into his punches

Saitama will be the one reason heroes classification system was erased later in the manga. Since saitama break his own limiter the classification system of heroes was some kund of limitwr to the heroes themselves and it's possible that Saitama will be new role model for heroes besides Blast and Tatsumaki which create new hierarchy of heroes and system that replace classification basis from strength-base class to probability and potential-base class
My man is so strong that his mere presence and actions affect the world around him. He created a foundation of the strongest people to exist on Earth made to save humanity from danger, and he may as well be the one who can destroy it. Imagine how different everything would be if he was more caring about everything, this man would've single-handedly given rise to a golden age of heroes by just existing.

Damn, so Saitama was unknowingly spawning new monsters for 3 years?
The hilariously crazy part is that King really might be the most *powerful* overall. His luck is so insane that he technically wields all of the characters with powers on, or near, the planet as weapons. I mean, just think about it. King stepped up when Cosmic Garou was coming about. Saitama, Blast, Tatsumaki, Flashy Flash, AND Platinum S all entered the chat. What kind of summoning ability even is that?! Is dude a god tier Pokémon trainer?!!! His ability is so tremendous that he moved the plot! How can any villain end King when he has a Saitama and a Blast in his back pockets? One or both will appear if Flashy Flash and Tatsumaki can't handle it, and the heroes will automatically win. He didn't even need all of them, they just ran interference until the two ultimate summons showed up. If it weren't for the need to preserve human life, he could've waited them out, and either of them could have single-handedly finished the entire conflict. Like, when we break down just what these characters are each capable of, and consider the fact they all converged on the same battlefield because King was there, whose mind wouldn't be blown by that? His jaw may be made of glass, but with cannons like that, he doesn't need to be durable.

King is the strongest because he has the power of Saitama AND plot armor on his side.

There was a major chance they were going to fight once, and King won in one way and one way alone:
*They became FRIENDS.*
Word. That makes him technically unstoppable. He basically made Saitama his Pikachu. That's *CRAZY!* Now he's got Blast, Tatsumaki, and Flashy Flash as backup for Saitama? Then, wherever Saitama goes, Genos goes, Garou is flipping, Blast has his whole galactic squadron mixed in - and Saitama is the lynchpin for these mega powerful additions. King got Saitama, and Saitama, who doesn't even need help, brought this super elite hit squad along just for kicks. He's got a line up that can all fit on a single space shuttle, three of which can just hang out in empty space without protection, and collectively can 0 diff a whole galaxy 😂 No one man should have all that power.
Things I think would be cool in opm.
1. Saitama vs god.
2. Someone else who removed their limiter.
3. New s class heroes
4. A paranormal investigator arc.
5. Saitama temporarily losing his powers.

Does make me wonder how much that hole he punched in the building after the alien attack, just because he wanted to get out faster, cost. With it seemingly being multiple floors, a special room, and so on, I could see the damage being as much as those robots in price. Though Metal Knight seems to be able to make or possibly repair those quickly, it does make you wonder if it's a "pour it once" and its set for good and unfixable if damaged, considering its resistance to attacks of heat and kinetic energy at least, or if he had some means of fixing it. In that case when he remade the hero association headquarters it might be a case of because of Saitama, he had to throw the ENTIRE building frame out, and replace it as it seems to be one solid block, or more humorously, maybe there still some "off material" holes going thru half the building. Not that it matters, since he did it AGAIN later on with Tatsumaki (though credit to Tatsumaki for surviving punching thru that as well, haha.)
We all know the real damage though will occur when Tatsumaki has a word with them about those ads of theirs.

Thing is, Sonic showed us that cooking monster parts takes away the monsterization effects when he ate a monstercell after cooking it and it just gave him diarrhea. So cooking and eating them isn't too dangerous, it's raw consumption. I think that the level of monater and saturation of actual cells effects how severe the mutations are from consumption.

Could just be a poetic theme that Saitama is essentially God in terms of what his potential is. He is the great equalizer, akin to God handling things for people. A God doing the tasks for others ends up making those around them miss out on what could have been, be it good or bad.

I wonder if Saitama is the reason his city is so full of monsters. With how he kills monsters, and clearly a lot of animals/wildlife become monsters there, it might be his fault entirely they have the strength they do there. Not that it matters since he can clear the entire city but you know.
